I will use it again just because of the friendly staff and the great hospitality.

Great staff, so friendly and helpful. Free parking and we left the car there all the time and used the Tram to the city. quiet room. Very close to great restaurants. Very close to a nice park.

No elevator, we had to carry the suitcase up the stairs.

Delightful little Hotel

It was a delight to stay at Hotel Bären Garni. The owner was so helpful and friendly and gave us many suggestions for our trip to Freiburg. It is easy to travel by tram to the centre and the beautiful Seeburg Park is nearby. We would definitely stay there again.

Very cozy little hotel, a bit far from city center

The staff is very friendly and available to help and satisfy your needs. The breakfast does not offer a big choice, but it is good made, with very fresh and good bread and eggs boiled at the moment. The room is quite big for the standards. A couple of auto parking spots are available for the guest of the hotel directly in front of it.

The position is not the best, although it is very quiet and near to a big and nice park, it is quite far to walk from city center. It is needed to take the tram line to travel to and from the center, but likely the stop is very near to the hotel.

Everything I needed for an academic conference visit.

Quiet, clean room, friendly and helpful proprietor, good location (near park, Frelo bike hub, tram and bus), excellent local restaurants and shops. I was worried about arriving after midnight, but admission was made very easy.

Facility to make hot drinks in room would have made early starts a little easier!

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, also had a balcony. The breakfast room is very cosy. The hotel is near a beautiful lake park.

Good guesthouse in convenient location.

Conveniently located near to a tram stop although not easy to locate the entrance to the hotel. Had to telephone the owner to gain entry but he was most helpful. Decent Wi-Fi and spacious comfortable and clean room. Free parking. Only slight downside was the noise from the street - the hotel is near a busy road. On the whole though a thoroughly decent stay.

Not the Ritz but outstanding, friendly service, definitely recommended.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, Joe was extremely helpful and went beyond what we expected to ensure our stay was as pleasurable as possible. Joe even help us to plan our days out which really helped.

There was no air conditioning so the room was very hot, we did, however, stay during a heatwave which exacerbated the situation. This was not a major issue but worth being aware of if this is a requirement.

Exceptional

It was a wonderful experience! I can suggest to everyone this hotel. It is near by Seepark, Supermarket, Cafe, Bakery and a Kebap Saloon. The tramway (Straßenbahn) stop is also near by. The staff is kind and excellent. I would definetely again accomodate.

Minibar can be replaced with a more useful mini-fridge, I guess.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay and I would recommend it to my friends.

The stuff was very polite and helpful. My room was clean and extremely quiet. Also the hotel has a convenient location. Both the tram stop for the city centre and the lake are extremely close.

In my book only the Wi-Fi was kind of sluggish and in some rare occasions I couldn't connect at all. It wasn't terrible but I think there is room for improvement.

Herzliches kleines Hotel, abseits vom Zentrum Freiburgs.

Obwohl das Hotel etwas abseits des Zentrums liegt, fand ich die Lage gut. Die Haltestelle für die Straßenbahn (während meines Aufenthaltes wegen sehr großer Baustelle SEV) war in akzeptabler Nähe. Besonders toll fand ich die große Herzlichkeit, die vom Besitzerehepaar ausgestrahlt und gelebt wird. Man ist hier nicht die Zimmernummer, sondern wird beim Frühstück mit dem Namen begrüßt!! Der Frühstücksraum ist ziemlich klein. Wurst und Käse sind sehr appetitlich und liebevoll auf kleinen Platten angerichtet. Das Frühstücksei wird nach Wunsch frisch gekocht. Also kein "Osterei", wie es sonst stets aus den Warmhaltekörben kommt. Der kleine Balkon hat mir große Freude bereitet. Auch wenn er in Richtung Straße ging. Ebenso der kleine Kühlschrank.

Nichts. Alles super!
