Great value and location in one of the more bike friendly cities I've been to

Late check in via kiosk very smooth. Close to some businesses like bakery, grocery, and restaurants but pretty quiet location. Very close to tram stop

Was nice outside seating on patio but a little cold to use. Not a lot of space in room for someone to visit. Blackbirds very loud at times!

We really liked the receptionist. He was very welcoming and gave us good tips on transportation, etc. He also got us more breakfast as it was running low. He was very friendly. We also liked that transportation was close to get into the city and location was quiet.

The self registration process was protracted and arduous, as the email link they kept sending prior to my stay did not work. No air con but had a fan. Basic continental breakfast.

Great stay in Freiburg

The location and facilities of the property is great. It does not have a elevator so in case you have large baggage its going to be difficult.

The best thing is the level of automation that they have done. In late evenings and night there is no one in the property but still the check-in and check-out was super smooth.

Perfect basic hotel, good location.

The hotel was in a perfect location, 3 minute walk to the tram stop. Room was basic, but very clean. Nice to have a balcony! Breakfast was good. The staff were lovely. The hotel supplied a travel ticket which gave us free use of the trams and trains, so we made good use of both and visited lake Titisee while we were there.

Straightforward and excellent value hotel with good rooms, comfortable beds, fantastic staff and a great breakfast. Perfect if you are visiting a student at the university - it’s just across the road.

A good 2 nights in Viavelo. Excellent choice.

Excellent reception service by the front desk gentlemen. All requirements were clearly explained to us. We were given free passes for tram, buses rides throughout our stay which greatly helps us to get around Freiburg.

Nothing. Short of a little exercise required to get our luggage to the 2nd floor as this is a non-elevator establishment. Anyway, the highest floor is the 2nd floor too.

Everything was super, clean rooms, tasty breakfast, excellent checkin - possible selfcheckin is a great idea. There is a car parking for guests so You can come there from far away.

Exceptional

The room is clean.This Hotel is near from the train station ,,you can walk for about 3mins and for like 4-6 stops i think,you'll reach the City. The one who assisted me was so accomodating and helpful. He lets me extend more than an hour in my room because the bus going to my destination is after lunch. I am so really happy and i would love to recommend this Hotel to my friends if they want to go to Freiburg.

Great hotel in a lovely city. The staff were the stars of this property.

From the minute we arrived we were greeted with a smile and after all the usual check-in paperwork, we were given a wealth of information about the hotel, the surrounding area and some travel tips for the public transport system. We had travelled by motorcycle so we were allocated some space in the underground car park which was more secure than the off street parking. The room was spacious with plenty of shelving etc. We had opted for a balcony room so had a door leading out to a table with 2 chairs.

There was nothing that we disliked about this hotel. The only slight issue on the first night was the heat in the room, but once we figured out the best settings for the window shutters it was all sorted.

Overnight in Freiburg

Herr Stierle (Reception)was a delight! Very helpful, friendly, patient. Very clean room . Beds comfortable. Nicely fitted bathroom . Breakfast was more than adequate and nicely presented. 2 minutes walk max from Tram line. Parking was on site. Close to a wonderful lake. Opposite are a supermarket , bank and bakers. I would recommend this hotel.

The outside of the hotel could do with refreshment, I can imagine that it's indeed planned. Would recommend separating the balconies and putting a fridge in the room. From the website photos, we expected a nicer view from the balcony.

Clean, comfortable, conveniently located lodgings for a traveller on a budget.

The property is very clean, and checking in was easy with the automated key box. The hotel is a short walk from a tram station (and corona testing station, which is handy for travelers who need travel documentation). It's also only two tram stops up from the long distance rail. There is free wifi. I did not get a chance to try the breakfast since my schedule started early each day, but my friend who traveled with me and also had a room at Hotel Bischofslinde said that it was delicious. The blackout shutters are great (you have to use the strap behind the curtains to lower or raise them, it's not obvious) they completely darken the room if you lower them all the way, and mostly darken them if you lower them just enough to touch the sill.

The wifi was slow enough to struggle when I tried to do a Zoom call.

Great Value for Money in the Suburbs

The hotel is only a few tram stations away from the city center, making it very accessible. There are some cheap restaurants around the hotel and a supermarket (Penny) right next to it. Super friendly staff.

The neighbourhood is very ugly.
