The Cypress House - Historical Center with AC

We absolutely loved this apartment! The location was perfect—close to all the major attractions and just a short walk from the train station and ferry. There were also two wonderful local restaurants nearby, both serving delicious food. Be sure to make a reservation, as the wait can be at least an hour! Communication with the host was excellent both before our trip and throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture of being greeted in person, receiving the keys, and getting valuable information about the apartment and the area.

The kitchen was perfectly stocked except the refrigerator.😟

The location was perfect for what we needed and Elisa was very helpful

The bathroom keep the towels slightly damp but I’m sure we could have found a way to prevent this if needed.

We enjoyed our stay at this well appointed apartment in Varenna. Our host met us outside the building with the key and showed us how to enter and lock up. The bed and furniture were comfy. We enjoyed having the kitchenette so we could have breakfast in the apartment. All the sites of the town were right outside our door.

Some of the pictures do not reflect the actual. For instance, to obtain the view of the lake as the picture shows, you have to lean yourself quite far out of the window. It is not easily accessible at all. The coffee maker did not work. The bed pillows were old, worn, tattered, and stained. They made me uncomfortable and very concerned they might be dirty and soiled. It would be a good investment to put 10 Euro towards new ones. The bedroom wardrobe closet was full of miscellaneous, disorganized "stuff" shoved inside. It was unusable. The clothes hangers were mismatched, making it seem worse.
