The house is absolutely beautiful. Beautifully decorated and spotless. So close to the city centre but far enough that you think you were in the country. The gardens were lovely too. They couldn’t do enough for us.

A warm welcome and very comfortable accommodation.

A very warm welcome from the host who took time to explain all the available facilities and provided recommendations for an evening meal. Room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Access to a separate kitchen area was useful. We also had access to an outdoor patio area which was appreciated. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and cooked to order. Good location for exploring Derry/ Londonderry.

En-suite to our room was a little small but functional and well equipped.

ARKLE HOUSE WOULD BE HARD TO BEAT

What a beautiful place to stay!!! Our stay at Arkle House was delightful from start to finish. Our hosts were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything a traveler could want. The breakfasts were amazing with fresh croissants, pancakes, fruit salad, yoghurt, cereal, etc, etc and then we were served an Irish breakfast as well.

Disappointing follow up to experience

Convenience to where I needed to be.

I've held off writing this review despite receiving a phone call from the owner a couple of days after I checked out who advised me that he was going to respond to my review on their website which I cannot find and I haven't received any sort of written apology except for " a free night stay" when I'm back but upon reflection I was told it wouldn't be in the family room because its " more expensive" even though I paid for two nights in the family room at the cost of 250 in total. Not having the feedback after the phone call has annoyed me as such as I explained I was a former hotelier, but I now will not take up their offer of a free night and simply let the matter rest and I just won't stay or encourage others to say. Derry is a small place. As for my experience I won't share it here as I gave my word to the owner that I wouldn't but I am disappointed in the follow up. He has my card details and if anything now at this point should offer a partial refund.

Great place to stay when visiting Derry.

A lovely guest house in a pleasant part of Derry- not far from the centre of town. Off road and secluded parking. Room was comfortable and the staff/owner were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Had a nice guest kitchen that was very useful. Would stay here again.

Wonderful meet and greet, lovely ambience, oh so comfortable rooms, very accommodating hosts! Sally and Terry are the best, they went the extra mile in every respect. An exceptional find is Arkle house, in every respect and breakfast boasts a wide range of delicious foods cooked freshly to order, perfect!

Lovely B&B

Good location if you don't want to be right in the centre of Derry as its just a 10min taxi ride. Beds were very comfy and suited our needs as a family. Great there was a single bed and seperate sofa bed so kids didnt have to share (or fight!). Hosts were very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was tasty too. Great that there is a little kitchen diner, with microwave and fridge etc so you can independently make or store food and drinks. Perfect for when kids want snacks, but you want to avoid crumbs on beds.

Very nice family owned B&B. Very friendly hosts. The breakfast was the best we had so far. The house had an extra small kitchen, were you could make coffee & tea and also store some personal food stuff. Car parking facilities are directly at the house. For dinner there is a pub nearby with good food.

Nothing really to complain. Only the TV within the room could be a little bit larger.
