The location was peaceful and quiet.
Sofa needs updated, black pieces flaking off, and one of the sofas was very wet, possibly from being cleaned before arrival, although it felt like something had been spilled on it.
The water pressure from the shower was temperamental, unfortunately decided to shower with nearby family to avoid the problem.

Convenient location to city and donegal
Quick heat loss, when showering water was spilling out of the shower. Bathroom floor was always damp. No hanging rails in toilet/ shower. No highchair, dishwasher as described on the booking page.

I loved that the cottage is out from the town but close that your only 5 to 10mins away from it all. It was so quiet and the night we stayed there was a storm and you didn't hear a thing. We only stayed one night but we all said we'll definitely get back at some point for a longer stay. It has 2 big bedrooms a bathroom with shower and a lovely open plan sitting and kitchen area we didn't cook as it was for just one night so we had takeaway. There is a lovely little seating area just out your doors and it had a lovely view there was donkeys in one field and horses in the other. Karen the girl that owns these cottages is so nice she live on site so is at hand if you need anything. There was little extras when we arrived to which was so kind.
I wouldn't say that there was anything I didn't like. I would have preferred if it was one room with a double and the other with 2 single beds. That's just a personal thing for me i cant sleep with anyone other than my better half lol. If your like me the sofa is well comfy I had a great night sleep.

Elagh Cottages are a home away from home! So cosy! The views are FAB!!! The kids enjoyed their stay! Based outside of the city but not too far just what we like!
I have nothing to say! We loved every minute!

Location was remote - but we knew that and was what we wanted - a semi- rural setting .
A very nice cottage style apartment, all the amenities were provided and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Karen showed us around and explained all the usages of the appliances which was great.
Everything was fine

Quiet place in a rural setting with nice views. We had difficulty finding it, but Karen was very accommodating and came to meet us. The apartment was very clean and the wifi reception was good. There is also ample parking out front.
On the down side, this apartment was very small and cramped. The two bedrooms could just about accommodate each double bed with barely enough space for a bedside locker. There were no wardrobes, but an extendable rack with about six hangers. No shelves or drawers so I ended up putting stuff on the windowsill. The living room had no coffee table. It's a good thing we were only booked for one night. I think a longer stay would have been challenging.

Elagh Cottages is in a location that you can wake up in morning and have a beautiful view from the terrace. The donkeys, sheep and wildlife make it hard to believe, that the Derry town centre is only 10 mins away.
Nothing.

Karen the host was brilliant, the area is beautiful and has lovely scenes during the day & at night when the city is lit up. So affordable, and even taxis out to the accommodation were so cheap.

The location was stunning. Beautiful views across the countryside, and the city at night. it had an outdoor area perfect for eating breakfast or lunch with the family. My little girl loved the cows and donkey's that were beside the cottage. Comfy beds, very clean and warm. We didn't stay for long, as it was a flying visit to see family, but it would have been great to stay longer and use the facilities more. Thank you Karen

It was set in the country just minutes from downtown Derry. A couple of cute donkeys in the front field. Perfect for a small family.
The internet didn’t work for us. We were just overnighting so it wasn’t an issue but I would check that first.

It was comfortable and spacious with amenities. The host Karen was friendly and approachable
It could have done with a small coffee table to put cups on, also a shelf or tiny table in the bathroom to put our clothes on
8.0 / 10.0
I liked the location
The glass chopping board was noisy to use and slippery that one could easily injure their fingers. It could have been wooden. The old style faucet in the bathroom was so difficult as we get either extreme hot water or extreme cold water. It could have been a mixer tap. No kitchen roll in the kitchen was a shame. It could be tiny things but really means a lot when in need.. as I came with an infant and a toddler, these were essentials..

A superb location outside of Derry which was perfect for our one night stay. Spacious lounge and kitchen area with access to a washing machine and tumble dryer in an outside building.
There was a little noise from the electric shower/hot tap from the adjacent cottages which was a bit intrusive at times but otherwise it perfectly suited our needs.
