Beautiful wooden house in a charming location

If you are looking for a beautiful wooden home in a very peaceful forest area, with a lot of fun activities for the whole family within 1 hour drive, look no further. One of the best holiday homes we have ever visited.

Superb

A very cosy and beautiful cottage with a big terrace with a sunset view. The interior is nicely decorated, with a lot small cute details. Kitchen fully eqipped with oven, microwave, induction oven, toster and coffee machine. Very comfortable stay for two, could possibly fit 3 people.

Unfortunately not what we were expecting

The place itself is simply okay. But we were very disappointed with our stay overall, the only plus point was the ‘gite’ has a lovely view out of the front porch, we enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the evenings, but still overlooked by other buildings either side.

What you don’t see from the pictures is that the gite is set in what is best described as a trailer park on top of a hill, not the safest feel to it. The bed was very small and my partner and I (both fairly small people) barely fit in it. The bed was also not made on arrival so we had to put all the sheets on ourselves after a very long exhausting trip. It wasn’t a particularly hot time of year, but it was still uncomfortably hot during the night in the bedroom and no fan or cooling system available, so we slept terribly. We sadly found Dinant itself a very odd and quite unfriendly place too, lots of abandoned and damaged buildings and in our own personal experience we found the people quite unwelcoming. The surrounding nature is okay but not what we were expecting either, most suited for ‘organised’ fun for young families or school groups rather than adventurers. We ended up leaving a night early and lost out on our money as we just sadly weren’t enjoying the stay.

Exceptional

This is the most comfortable living during my trip. The host prepared the welcome beer, water, snack. They have a good view garden. They even have a barbecue set. The living space, sofa, decoration, look really like a home. I can really relax in this living. I can feel the host operate this living as a home for customer instead of some property for only making money. So, I give highest rating.

This living locates in the montain area, surrounded by a forest. The temperature in the night is much colder than day time. The heating is very needed in the night even in June. Sometimes, we can hear the noise from heating. The heating is not stable. In the first night, the heating was not sufficient, but two other nights were good.

Very good

Really nice small chalet just outside Dinant. By bike it took us 10 minutes to the centre and 30 minutes back, because the chalet is a bit more up. Location is very quiet en surrounded bij trees. The chalet is small, but everything you can think of is there. It has a large balcony with parasol to keep you out of the sun. Bbq is there as well. We really liked it. Veronique is very kind and explained everything.

Absolute relaxation in nature

Beautiful quiet environment, very clean house with everything you could possible need, very friendly hostess and host, modern and well thought of facilities and loads of space outside.

That we only booked one night. In hindsight we think atleast 3 is advisable.

Une déconnexion sans concession de confort!

L’emplacement du chalet est absolument incroyable, en séjournant au gîte Martin il est possible de se lever le matin et n’ apercevoir que du ciel et de la végétation! Nous y avons séjourné en famille, avec un bébé, en pleine automne, le paysage était exceptionnel et malgré le froid extérieur le chalet restait bien chauffé! La literie est confortable, même celle du canapé-lit ce qui en fait un endroit parfait pour 4 personnes! Les propriétaires du gîte sont aux petits soins, et très réactifs aux messages, bref je recommande vivement cet hébergement, et j’espère pouvoir y retourner en haute saison!

L’emplacement de ce chalet est idéal pour se ressourcer et trouver le calme Il est parfaitement équipé et les hôtes sont accueillants Des petites attentions laissées ont été fort appréciées Je vous recommande cet endroit

Ce n’est pas que je n’ai pas aimé mais il faut juste avoir en tête que de part sa situation en pleine nature le chalet est loin des commerces (rien à moins de 10min en voiture)

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen

Sehr schönes und idyllisch gelegenes Ferienhaus das liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet war. Es hatte zudem eine traumhafte Terrasse und eine Möglichkeit zum Grillen. Im Haus gab es eine sehr gut funktionierende Heizung. Das Auto konnte man auf dem abgesperrten Grundstück parken. Im Dinant war man mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten und auch größere Supermärkte waren mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar.

Das Bett im Schlafzimmer war nur 140 cm breit.
