Coundon Lodge Coventry

The room was nice, spacious and clean. Regina was lovely, plenty of choices for the continental breakfast and the view from the patio was just gorgeous. Even though I booked a room without bathroom, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the shared bathroom realy chic, clean and spacious. It's THE BEST location if you want to relax and take in the beauty of nature. On top of this, there is a horse and a donkey on site - which you can visit and pet (p.s. bribing them with a cut apple will do the trick) and for me that was literally THE CHERRY on top of the cake!! I will definitely come back, I am in love with the place, the location, the animals, the host, EVERYTHING. Diana O. (Oxfordshire)

I have no complains what so ever - in love with the place!

Its a beutiful Manor House, sorrounding farms give open spaces and lots of fresh air. The breakfast had alot of healthy options.

Though the bathroom was shared, it was very large, clean welcoming and had the option of bath or shower. Good quality shower gels provided.

My stay was just what I needed. It was lovely, peaceful and incredibly tranquil, with absolutely gorgeous views. It was the perfect place to get away for a few nights and clear my thoughts. The lodge was exactly as described, and the apartment I chose was even better than I expected. I had my own bathroom, a comfortable sitting area and a kitchenette. It really felt like a home away from home. If I needed anything, I could contact either Regina or Brian, and they were always quick to reply. Other than that, I was left to my own devices, which was exactly what I wanted. There was no noise apart from the birds tweeting and the beautiful sounds of the countryside. It was hard to believe that I was only ten minutes away from Coventry city centre, as it really didn't feel like I was anywhere near the city. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection, including different types of bread, croissants, pancakes, crumpets,eggs, a selection of meats in the fridge, drinks and different types of milk. There was plenty of choice and something for everyone. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family. It was excellent value for money and exactly the peaceful break I needed.

There was honestly nothing that I disliked about my stay. Everything was just as I wanted it to be. The only thing I would mention is that the apartment I booked was up two flights of stairs. As I have problems with my knees and feet, this was something I should probably have checked before booking. I was made aware that it was upstairs when I arrived and I could have asked whether there was accommodation available on the ground floor, but I didn't think to do so at the time. This wasn't a problem with the lodge itself, but something I will make sure to check when booking in the future.

Lovely old building in need of TLC

Unfortunately I didn’t see Regina before I left but would have mentioned that the bed sheet had a number of holes in it. The room was draughty with rattling doors and windows but appreciate that it was an extremely windy night. With some investment this could be a beautiful hotel.
