Good location, comfortable room.
The noise from the road but it really wasn’t that bad, just meant it took me longer to get to sleep.

Very clean, quiet and has everything you need. The staff let me check in early as I had a meeting to take and the food in the pub is lovely. Great experience and already booking my next stay!

Staff are lovely. The pub is great value for money. Great value for the location. Onsite parking. Big rooms.
Grout needs a freshen up in shower. Lobby smells funny (get an air freshener). Way out needs a clearer sign

Excellent location just off the main road, and surprisingly road noise wasn't an issue. Staff were really welcoming and friendly, both upon arrival and at breakfast. The family room was HUGE! Breakfast choices were excellent.
The hotel is very tired, which in itself isn't a problem, but the mould on the bathroom ceiling concerned me as my daughter is asthmatic. Also I think the windows could do with being replaced with double glazing as it was very cold despite having the radiator on. I felt that the family room was on the expensive side for the condition it was in, but perhaps it's size made up for it? Lighting was poor to do hair and makeup for a competition, only one chair to 2 desks, and no mirrors near plug sockets or dressing tables.

There was no heating during the night and it was freezing cold. The silicone in the bathroom needs to be redone.

Our second visit, ideal for overnight stop when travelling from Yorkshire to visit family in Dorset. Great value room and restaurant. Rooms well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly, easy check-in. Lots of free parking and good location.
Nothing to dislike

The Hotel and Pub was spot on. Clean, comfortable, and the staff very helpful and friendly.
The shower. Normally, with a rainfall shower, there is a simple separate shower. Unfortunately, not here, so we couldn't shower. As neither of us likes the rainfall type. I particularly do not wash my hair every day. But I would have no choice with this. However, I would specifically quest a room with a shower only.

Close location to an event we were going to for a Christmas party
The reception area by the vending machine stunk of wee!!!!
Some rooms looked as though they had been broken into previously with parts of the door frame cracked by the locks

Beds are very comfortable and clean.
Rooms starting to look dated and carpets look very dirty or perhaps just stains that they can't get out. Have been in three different rooms now and every room is the same regarding carpets - perhaps time to replace either with new carpeting or wooden or vinyl flooring.

The food was great, the rooms were comfortable and the location ideal for our visit, but it's the staff who really make this hotel special. From Emma the Duty Manager who calmly arranged a room swap, to Ellie who inspired us with the menu and Kai who gave us tips on what to see locally - everyone was brilliant. A particular mention has also to go to the breakfast staff who were friendly and cheerful despite a very early start. Such a great welcome makes this a lovely place to stay.
For light sleepers, room 21 is not ideal as it's right next to the central heating boilers. Our first night's sleep was pretty disrupted. However, Emma the Duty Manager managed to give us a different room for the next night, and that was fine

Very busy at lunchtime!! Special deal for the aged:)

Family room was great as it was two rooms in one with a door between.
Pub is lovely for a drink and has a pool table and dart board which was a great touch.
There was no control over the room temperature and it was either warm or cold.
The carpet was badly stained too.
Some of the breakfast staff were quite miserable and very slow service for breakfast.

The room was nice. Very clean. Nice size. Very convenient. Breakfast was great. It was very noisy on Saturday night because of a wedding. A wedding guest had a loud conversation outside the room and clattered about for a long time.

Beds were clean and comfortable and had a new tv in the room, good shower head.
The place could do with a refresh with lick of paint and carpets in hallways to be replaced. Breakfast was poor couldn’t even eat the eggs they were virtually raw.

The staff was really welcoming and it is nice to have the hotel and the pub next to it. Saved us to take the car to find food. The food is high quality for good value. Highly recommend
The room was outdated.

All good, nice welcome by the staff and speedy check in.
Thought the toilets in the pub needed a clean, to be honest. One toilet not working, one had no toilet paper and a third was about to run out. This was around 1pm. Rest of the pub good.

Decor well used, but still clean comfortable and usable
