Lovely rooms. Would stay again.

The room was nice and comfy. Location was close to the hospital where our son was having surgery.

The lack of tea making facilities in the room. While this is generally not at issue at sociable hours as you can just help yourself downstairs, when waking up at 6am needing a cup of tea it was not possible as the facility was not open.

Never stay here

I walked out after I was asked for card details written including CVV and photo copy of driving license stapled together for them to keep on file. I had already booked through booking.com so no reason for this. Anyone could have used this information as it was just left by the till. The room was dirty stains on bedding, the bin was full, hairs in shower. Never stay here

Very clean and warm which was lovely. For £44 you can't complain! Would stay again

No glasses or cup in the room for even a glass of tap water. Got one from the bar but was told to bring it back which was a bit strange, there should be drinking glasses in the room. Was fine without a hairdryer/kettle but a mug or cup for a glass of water should be standard.

Basic but clean and perfect location for what we were there for.

No kettle but it was basic and cheap so not a massive issue. (One night stay). Room a bit too warm. Again...can't complain.

Brilliant staff and manager. Lovely comfortable clean room.

Breakfast was good. Parking available. Loud on Saturday night due to people from party and those leaving the bar being disruptive. Apart from that, the rest of the nights were great. The staff were brilliant and exceeded my expectations. I celebrated my birthday there and they were so good to us.

When all the issues were resolved it was quite a pleasant stay.

The beds were so comfortable and pillows were great, it was the best night sky we both had in two weeks. The bar and facility downstairs were exceptionally, it was great value you for money.

When we arrived, the first room we went to had not had the bed made up and the mattress was leaning against the wall and all the bedding was stuffed in the walldrobe , I took some picture of the room and went down to complain, they change our room which had single beds in which was ok, I then noticed that there was no loo roll in the toilet so I went down to complain again, they gave me two loo rolls and I went back to the room only to find the tv didn’t work either, a lot of interference, but I couldn’t be asked to go down for the third time.

The rooms were clean

The room was freezing even tho the heater was on constantly. The view was sloping roof tiles. It was that cold towels would not dry. No kettle because people stole them. No spares. No cups. No tea/coffee/sugar sachets or tea spoons. We were told there was no breakfast or food as kitchen was closed because they were getting taken over on the 19/1/26. But a couple were served chips at night time and we ordered some of them. We were told by a different women that breakfast should have been on and we got thst the mother were leaving. We got different prices when getting drinks from the bar had a journey just to get to our room. Even tho I booked three rooms our was at the other side of the building from the other two Would not go back. Would not recommend

What a great find- very good accomodation for budget prices- you won`t find better in this market

Well appointed rooms and corridors. Lovely pillow and lovely bed Very nice room, very pleasantly surprised Lovely bar with quality snooker tables and bar area- function room looks good as well. Food was a standard pub offer at reasonable prices. Would definately bring family here

No tea/coffee maker in the room. Nowhere in bathroom to place toiletries. No water glasses in room. Poor heater in room. Restricted menu. Very noisy clientele ie not the fault of the staff.

The Wyken Inn is an excellent find!

It was such great value for money. I will be staying here every time I work in the vicinity. Clean and the bed was very comfortable. on the whole it is an excellent little find!

This is not something I did not like, but I could have done with breakfast being earlier as I have to get as much daylight for my job as I am a builder. But I started late because the breakfast was delicious!

Refurbished and clean room

The radiator in the room was not sufficient to heat the space, so the room was cold. The lady at the reception changed our room, and the situation was slightly better, but the radiator was still not enough for the size of the room, and it remained relatively cold.”

Quick cheap business trip

Great friendly staff, comfy beds, lots of room in bar area etc and they put the football on for me nothing seemed to be to much trouble. Seemed to have entertainment every night which is good

We had room #9 which was right on the corner, it was very cold, we did put the small heater on which took the chill off the air but still.could have been a bit warmer. Room and passage ways could do with a lick of paint. Other that those minor things everything was great

Disappointed

The size of the rooms, the cleanliness, lots of towels and enough pillows. Not sound proof, but was def not noisy or disruptive. Beds were comfy and linen was soft and of really nice quality. Rooms finished to a very nice standard.

It was freezing cold, the heater, even though on maximum output, was inadequate to maintain the temperature in that size space. The television’s are high up and secured to a Distant wall. The power tripped out in our room at about 22:50 pm when I switched the kettle on. I reported it to a rather unfriendly, unimpressed and less that interested member of staff after pressing the bell at reception, she just said she didn’t know what to do and she would message someone. We had no power until 11am the next morning… and that was only after prompting them again for help. No apology, no discount , nothing. There is also a rule of not being allowed to eat or drink any food on the premises that wasn’t purchased there. Totally ridiculous and unrealistic expectation. On the last day, the train home was not until 4 pm ish, but the 11am checkout meant carrying the luggage round with us for the remainder of the day - because they refused to keep the luggage safe. No staff on hand through the night Or early hours for issues. A very disappointing experience

It was daughters wedding

Clean and tidy

No kettle in room no glass in the bathroom so didn’t take my tablets that night , told them in the morning and was told someone had pinched the kettle whom had stayed before but my thought to that was The cleaner who set the room up must have known as they didn’t fill the tea coffee and sugar up as there were nothing to fill I should have got some sort of a re fund as they told our friends if you want more tea coffee ect it would cost a fiver

Emma is a fantastic host. I had my wedding reception here and it was fantastic Emma and her staff were amazing. Had a fantastic night and rooms are absolutely lovely.

Never again

The only thing I liked about the property was the room was very clean, and comfortable.

I didn’t like that we was on the ground floor, window glass obscure, was looking out to under a car port. We stayed two nights Friday night girls screaming and shouting outside til 12.30. Saturday night , people outside argue shouting screaming till 2 in the morning went quiet for about 10 minutes then started again till 3 in the morning. I came to visit my 100 yr old mum so was extremely tired and had to stay another night somewhere else as it was to dangerous for a 3 hr drive back home. Had evening meal on Friday night, just tasteless. And that is not us being picky, just the worst b&b I have stayed in.

Price was reasonable enough.

Got to my room about 10 and it hadn't been cleaned from the night before. Coffee mug still out used, bed unmade and towels on floor in bathroom. Make up was on pillow. In fairness I booked late and probably could of went downstairs and complained but it was late and I'd been on my feet all day. Thankfully the previous person which I assume at least 1 one was a female given the amount of foundation on the pillow, hadn't left the room in too bad a state.

Lovely, clean, welcoming and practical

The host was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. Freshly baked bread and muffins were a lovely touch and made the stay feel extra special. Parking was easy and the room was clean, comfortable and super convenient, with it's separate entrance, meaning we didn't disturb the host on returning from the wedding we'd attended. Would certainly recommend and would definitely stay again anytime we are visiting the area.

It’s been renovated recently and it looks very nice. The beds are SO comfortable me and my friends couldn’t stop talking about it. We were here for a wedding celebration and everything was close by including the shopping retail parks, the city centre and more. Theres a nice game room at the back of the pub which have pool tables, poker tables and dartboards for a little added fun, and there were events happening everyday! The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food there is great and the environment overall was really pleasant.

There could be a few added features like shelf’s in the bathroom to store toiletries in/on for example near the sink and a small shelf in the shower, I had to crowd my stuff around the sink or on the floor of the shower for convenience. Hooks on the walls for jackets and scarfs would be a nice touch, especially as we’re approaching winter. The car park and the stairs in the back entrance could do with a make over but it wasn’t actually that bad - just nitpicking here.

Tea and Coffee is served in the bar, rather than facilities in the room and the wifi, although free, is not particularly fast. Othere than that great stay, will be using again.

I liked how comfortable the bed was, everything was really clean.

It was really hot in the rooms and as a result struggled to sleep, I’d advise asking staff how to use the conditioning on the wall to have a chill room.

Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning.

The staff was rude and unwelcoming. Maybe even stereotypical. I expected a little bit more for someone who was visiting Coventry for the first time. He just assumed I should know my way around things. Didn’t tell me the room number or the way to the rooms, we had kids and a baby with us. Never going there again and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
