Lovely hotel

The staff are always pleasant and helpful, especially Claire on reception, and the lovely lady who serves breakfast. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great location with good transport links. Really good breakfasts....especially like the poached eggs on smashed avocado.

Excellent hotel, restaurant and Jacos bar with amazing entertainment all weekend.

The Jacobean is superb, it had a lot of refurbishments since we were last there. The rooms are truly beautiful, a done out with high quality fittings and accessories. The bed was soooo comfortable!

Room was nice and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit dismal and not worth paying for. Pub was good. Staff very friendly.

Was hoping for a lie in the morning but the room next door was being refurbished so was woken at 8am by hammer drills behind my headboard! Wasn't too bothered but would have been nice to have been able to listen to the TV.

The good Location , on site parking ,bar area with sport (note only TNT ) ,restaurant serving a good choice .

Dated room , very tired .Hotel currently undergoing refurbishment, I was offered an upgrade for additional £10.00 . If I had know how tired the room was I would have accepted.

Excellent trip, first time away with dog and it was v good- breakfast excellent

Breakfast was delicious, the food was really good. It is a very pretty place, would be great in the summer with the outside area. Really well located and the staff were lovely.

The room was a little bit lived in but it was a pet room anyway, which are rare in Coventry but the roome was very clean. It was huge, lovely bath and shower , and overall it was a great stay, we will definitely stay there again

It was really creepy

We liked the location of the property, it was convenient as we had a conference early in the morning. were fine. The bathroom was really modern, had everything needed - a toilet, a bathroom, a mirror, a shower, a little shelf for toiletry storage as well as shampoo and shower gel provided.

The general vibe was off, it felt a bit uncomfortable the whole time we were there. There was nothing negative about the staff as we only interacted with the staff at check in and check out, but they were quite cold. The room however was quite awful, the carpets were super stained and the walls looked really old and stained also. There were barely any plugs in the room and they were across the room from the beds, the lighting was really creepy and the furniture seemed really old. There was just a really creepy, general vibe.

Location, ambience and the food and drink options are excellent. I've been staying here a couple of times most years for about 12 years and really like the look of the refurbished rooms.

Perfect for a relaxing stay

We go to the Jacobean every year sometime more if we go to the good food show at the NEC we have family in Coventry so when we go we stay here as a base the staff are great always welcoming and friendly we would like to say that the lady serving breakfast went way beyond her duties making us feel refreshed and happy for the long journey home to Kent a real credit to the Jacobean

Tiny double bed and uncomfortable

Location of the hotel was good. Room was a good size and clean

Room directly above the bar area which had live music playing, the bed was very uncomfortable with noisy springs and it was tiny for a double. Breakfast too expensive at £12.99 pp so Went elsewhere. Maybe also think about some biscuits to go with the tea and coffee

Booked to be close to relatives we were visiting - the hotel was literally around the corner. We have used it a few times before & will use it again for visiting The rooms are warm & airy, windows are opened easily great shower room& towels changed daily. Tea, coffee facility in room & tv hairdryer too. We didn’t have breakfast as we went to our relatives for the daytime visits. It’s a nice hotel with adequate facilities

Convenient Location but Uncomfortable Stay

The room was big enough, and the bathroom was clean and well-equipped. The free parking was very convenient, and there are shops just a 5-minute drive away. I stayed here overnight, and Birmingham Airport is only a 15-minute drive from the property, which was very handy.

The room was pretty dark and cold, and the heating barely worked, which made the stay feel rather unwelcoming and not cozy. There was only one usable power socket in the entire room, and it wasn’t even located near the bed. The floorboards were very squeaky and felt hollow in some areas. The room has a vintage old-fashioned style with solid wood features, but the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling were full of small holes that appeared to be caused by woodworms.

Room dated as was bathroom room cold no heating no fan in bathroom wallpaper peeling marks on bedding bedside light not working. When we left cleaner in room sitting on phone no eve I g meal available on Saturday had to travel to another pub taxi cost £30 .

Really tatty little room - peeling 80s wallpaper, aged furniture, geriatric bath and washbasin with black mould on the grout. Wifi was awful.

Adequate for a two night stay.

Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. An iron, ironing board, hairdryer and fan were in the room.

Although clean, our room was slightly odd. There was a large bath tub on a raised area in the room, while the toilet and shower room was very small. The shower itself was good, however, the shower curtain finished about 6 inches short of the floor so water leaked onto floor. Clothes storage consisted of a few coat hangers on a metal rod, no wardrobe or drawers. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and thought that the breakfast was not as good as on previous visits.

Good location with easy accessibility and public transport to the city centre.

The lighting in the hotel room wasn't great. Also, I would suggest that larger mirrors should be located near electrical sockets, which would make blow drying hair easier. The rooms would also benefit from having a small fridge.

Just book it!

When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely warm welcome and smile, a smooth check-in and being told y the lady at the check-in desk that I was staying in her favourite room created tinge of excitement. The room (31) was AMAZING. Just stunning. I asked a meal to be pre-ordered and brough to my room a few hours later, and it was. Nothing was too much trouble.
