Would have preferred to have breakfast indoors

We were late but the staff were very accommodating & helpful. The room was spacious & the facilities perfect. The breakfast was exceptional, perfectly cooked & served. Very many thanks.

The food in the pub in the evening was very good- the brisket with gravy exceptional as well as the sticky toffee pudding. The young staff serving in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The village and location of the pub facing the church was picturesque.

The owners were not very friendly to us at arrival or when we went to dinner…we walked into the restaurant expecting to be welcomed and seated but instead were rudely pointed into a room full of beer kegs (we don’t drink) - we simply back tracked and asked the lovely waitress for our table and she seated us. The bedroom was small but freshly decorated and clean. The mattress was very soft and uncomfortable and the foam pillows added to the discomfort. We went to sleep only to be woken every hour until dawn by the church bells (I’ve never encountered something so ridiculous in a quiet country village)
