The staff were all helpful and friendly: the food was superb: the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was delightful.
Apart from a rather noisy heating or air conditioning system at some part of the night it was in every respect a wonderful stay.

Beautiful hotel and in a great location . The Christmas decorations were wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful.
After returning to the hotel in the evenings around 10pm there was no one about and the bar was shut which was a shame .
Breakfast was a bit limited a bit of fruit or yoghurt would have been nice .

Good location at the top of the market square. Beautifully decorated bar and restaurant area (Christmas) Morning/breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom was clean.
The reduced serving hours is not conducive to a warm, friendly atmosphere and some staff are frankly curt. We knew before time that on Sunday, they didn't serve food past 2:30 - we could work round that but not to serve drinks at a pub past 3:00 on Sundays and past 9pm each night is strange to say the least. It was in the lead up to Christmas too but there was no allowance to that. We would have moved to our room to have a drink but there wasn't a coffee table and chairs to sit at so we'd have been confined to sitting alongside one another on the bed. We got away with overstaying the 9pm 'curfew' downstairs because there was a private party in the function room but as they left we were told that all the lights would be switched off downstairs, when we questioned that, the reply was: you've got 10 minutes until the lights go off. Earlier in the evening, we sat at a table for a drink. The table had a reservation sign for 7:30 so at 5pm with 2.5 hours to go, we felt it was ok to sit there. As we sat chatting and holding hands across the table, one of the staff came over and reached between our hands to set down a napkin and cutlery- no communication or 'excuse me' -we sat there rather stunned at the obvious rudeness. Just leave it awhile or put them on the end of the table. Also, the bedroom we stayed in is tired - wallpaper faded, bathroom tiles and sanitaryware are chipped, and there was hair in the bath. It's also above the kitchen so we were woken by the extractor fan coming on and kitchen noise. The bar also needs a redecoration, compared to the restaurant/lounge area, it's tired with a limited range of beers on draught or bottled. All round a disappointing visit to somewhere we have visited previously and enjoyed. You're in the business of hospitality - your people (with the exception of the breakfast staff) and your rooms need to be more hospitable please.

Overall great. Friendly staff, comfortable room. Slept well.
Evening meal was disappointing and it was a bit odd that they closed at 9pm.

Good breakfast .
Would ask for a bedroom remote from the noisy exhaust fans. Though they do switch off at night.

The food in pub was nice
The bedroom was dirty and shabby, carpet smelt, plaster falling from the ceiling, the bed was old a did not look appealing.
The bath in bathroom was dirty with peeling paint. Taps loose in sink.
This room should not be used for paying guests until it has been refurbished.

Comfortable room with lots of space.. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for exploring the town and only a short stroll from the castle.
Maybe a comfortable chair or two in the sitting area of the room would have been a good improvement.

Lovely hotel with large rooms, a delicious breakfast and fabulous staff. Right in the centre of Framlingham with a car park too. We loved our stay!
Nothing I didn't like but it was on the expensive side, however it was a weekend in the summer holidays.

The room was nice, light bright room with windows in 2 walls, very homely and a really comfy bed. Great shower.
Arrived at 6 pm, the building looked deserted, rang the phone, and a member of staff came. She seemed really 'off' at first but then seemed to settle down after a couple of mins. Being woken up from approx 5.30 as several deliveries cames abd were crashing and banging about.

Charming and lots of character. Great location and relatively quiet. Lots of eat/drink choices nearby. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast tasty and great choices. Free parking at rear is good bonus.
Tired in parts. Bathroom definitely needs updating and refurb. Quite expensive esp. bar prices. Not quite as ‘special’ as I’d expected given room rate.

Very central, very homely, good quality rooms. Breakfast was good quality food.
Property abit tired, took 30 min for someone to arrive at reception to check us in. Staff helpful once arrived. Would be nice to have some cereal, croissants for breakfast.

A very comfortable room and bed. A lovely hotel. The cooked breakfast was good.
Except for a young man who kindly directed us to the car park, the welcome could have been better. The key and pass code were just handed over and we had to ask where the room was and were given very little information. It would be good to include information about where the car park is at the time of booking. The breakfast staff were bordering on unfriendly... a smiling face would have been welcome. Having said that the food came quickly.

The bed was super comfy! I was only in a single room but there was enough space and storage. The staff were nice and the food was great
The bathroom was a bit tired and I’m not a fan of having a shower curtain

The staff at the Crown are a credit to the management, nothing was too much trouble. The food was good quality and always served with a smile.
Its difficult to think of anything that we did not like about the Crown. There are some things that one could mention, but they would be due to the age of the property and would be really picky

Such an old and interesting building! Staff were really helpful, room and bed were huge and we had a great view out onto the square. Coffee machine was a nice touch too. Breakfast was delicious.
Would have liked either a full length mirror or a dressing table/drawers/shelf under the mirror to get ready.

Location was perfect. The staff member on duty at reception on our arrival was very helpful and pointed us to free parking nearby as the hotel car park was full. The room was very comfortable and the fan provided was well used.
The Senior staff member on duty on Saturday morning was very abrupt in a conversation she instigated. Her manner was not customer focussed.
Breakfast limited, no cereal or fresh fruit.
