Scam Misleading Advertising

Nothing

Misleading adverting. Only After payment was made was it disclosed that it was a backpacker facility. Upon visiting the establishment only to find out i was Mislead , requested for a refund. This was denied.Was asked to pay more to get a single room , that too was disgusting . How many other people have had this experience and was inconvenienced and lost their money . This is a scam , a money making racket .

Not worth the money - need to do better

Location

It was not hygienic and not well maintained. Upon arrival only 1 broken glass for 6 people. Tv not working. Mold in the shower and need tlc in different spots. Loud noise all night from neighbouring aircons, very hot in own room. Also lot of screening for downstairs guests in the night who were fighting with the staff.

Extremely upsetting

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received through Booking.com. The accommodation/service I booked was not what was advertised. The details and expectations presented during the booking process were significantly different from what was actually provided upon arrival. As a result of this misrepresentation, I was left stranded in another province without proper accommodation. This caused me considerable stress, inconvenience, and unexpected hardship. Due to having no alternative place to stay, I was forced to accept whatever was available at the time. This experience was extremely upsetting and unacceptable. I believe customers should receive exactly what is advertised and promised. I am therefore raising this matter as a serious complaint regarding misleading information and poor service delivery.

Overpriced for a room without airco

Staff was very friendly

The room itself was okay, however we had to leave because there was no air conditioning and the room was unbearably hot, it honestly felt like a sauna. We accept that we didn’t notice in advance that this specific room did not have air conditioning when booking. However, because of the heat it was impossible to stay, and we had to book another place last minute, losing the money we paid here. If you book this property, make sure you do NOT book a room without air conditioning, especially in hot weather. For a room without airco, the price is very overpriced.

Cool vibes- value for money- safe- close to everything

I am very pleased with this hostel! Great vibes, nice common area, friendly staff! Value for money. Safe area . Close to everything really: bus stop, bars, caffe, restaurants, walking distance of the waterfront, super market. Clean room and bathrooms!!! Freshly made beds and clean towels ( for rent but worth it!). Staff was ready to accommodate all my needs and questions ! Cool roommates. Surpassed my expectations! Would visit again!

Perfect location, excellent staff, eco- and socially responsible: Such a positive, friendly place!

The perfect find: Great location, excellent staff, everything we needed in an apartment, and as a bonus: a thoughtful attitude on environment, society, urban development, and on our roles and responsibilities in these areas. Makes for a very positive atmosphere. We loved the exchanges with the staff, we loved the outdoor dining area, we loved the fridge full of healthy drinks in glass(!) bottles. Also very helpful with luggage storage, secure car parking, luggage scales, taxi service: everything available and delivered with a big smile. We were traveling with a family of six for holidays and we hope we will be back for a longer stay.

The nights tended to be rather hot and stuffy and there was only one fan in the apartment. Having the windows open was difficult because the strong breeze would destroy the curtains, slam the doors and let in too much noise and mosquito's. A fan (maybe just a wall or ceiling fan) in every room would be really helpful (or aircon....a reversible model would also heat). And some more curtains: in the smaller bedroom there are none at all, so lots of light coming in, and maybe around the bunkbed in the sitting room?

Amazing stay - even extended

Location amazing - close to V&A with a few restaurants nearby. Staff was also amazing - Rafique and Mihle really have a passion for people.

There wasn’t to watch shows in the common areas and the rooms didn’t have aircon.

Fair Accommodation, Great Location.

Excellent location! Walk to the promenade, stadium, and the waterfront. Awesome restaurants all within walking distance.

No help with heavy baggage up to Room 301. We are senior citizens and found it very difficult to lug our heavy bags up and down the staircase. Parking should be free. Since it was charged for guests should be given a remote for access to the driveway gate as the receptionist was often not available immediately to man it. Staircases and common areas should be cleaned more often. It looks untidy with leaves and dust settling with the winds during the day. Heavy tobacco smells waft into the room at times, from the common area downstairs, which is never pleasant for non-smokers.

What a great little place to stay. We went to watch Rugby at DHL stadium with the whole family booked 2 rooms a family room for the kids and friends and a double room for mom and Dad. Very very conveniently located close many great restaurants and a woolies food just down the road. Rooms are well equipped for self-catering and so we did a big family dinner 🍽 in the courtyard area. Was really cool. Family loved it.

Rooms can be warm and no aircon but the fan bravely fought off the heat. Luckily the cape doctor picked up and cooled everything down.

Customer service is poor for a good property

Proximity to my place of interest. 24hrs check in service came in handy as my flight arrival was close to midnight.

The female receptionist was very rude. I think her name was Crystal. I did not appreciate the service. The cleaning team seemed small and rooms were not cleaned around 3pm each day. The bathroom had a funny smell due to lack of cleaning.

A perfect place in an ideal location

Could not be happier with Curiocity. Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Location was perfect as so close to walk to V&A Waterfront and/or Cape Town Stadium. Parking was also really helpful but remember to book in advance as very tight car park. Rooms were clean and everything was set up really well.

Minor issue but not a big problem was there is no air con and whilst Cape Town is not the hottest it can get pretty toasty. The provided fan did help.

We really enjoyed the location of the property, the walk to the waterfront and sea point promenade was quick and there were lots of options for restaurants around as well. The location felt very safe, we are from California and felt comfortable walking around during the day time. The staff were also fabulous. Everyone we encountered immediately made us feel welcomed and comfortable upon our arrival. The room was clean and perfect for what we needed. Fast and reliable wifi. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay and would stay again in the future!

We were happy with everything about the property, the only thing I would caution other travelers on is that the property is advertised as having free breakfast- the breakfast was limited to eggs, toast and coffee. This wasn’t a problem for us and we didn’t have any issues with eating there or going to other places for breakfast but just something I think people should be aware of if that’s something you’re counting on.

Everybody should stay here!

An amazing experience! We booked a family room, and also three single beds in a female shared room. Both rooms were great. In the family room, we could make our food, use the fridge and do everything with all my group, but you can also do it in the shared room too. The living room was good, the double bedroom was great ,and the shower perfect! Hot shower every night! One extra point was the staff, everybody was great to us, giving nice tips, always willing to know where we would go, how it was and etc. I loved there! They also offer a room where you can enjoy with the people from the hotel, with kettle, tea, coffee and friendship. Lovely and comfy space!

I did not read the fine print and did not realize we had to book the parking spots inside. We had to park outside, this was not such a big issue, next time we will be sure to book the parking spaces in advance.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Curiocity Hybrid Hotel in Greenpoint, Cape Town, and I must say it was an absolute delight! The hotel's modern design and vibrant atmosphere made it the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always eager to help with any questions or requests. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything I needed for a restful stay. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's location. Greenpoint is a fantastic area, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance. The views from the hotel's rooftop were simply stunning.

A wonderful location with excellent value for money.

What I loved about my stay at Curiocity is the apartment style setup. It was refreshing to be in a dorm (with fresh white linen and a comfortable bed) but still be able to chill in my room and also have access to a common area where I can engage with more people and buy a drink/coffee. 10/10 would highly recommend 🙂
