Ardoran House

The comminication prior to arrival was helpful.We were picked up at the ferry .Welcomed by the host Richard who went the extra mile to enhance our stay . Beautiful comfortable clean room with ensuite . Breakfasts were delicious.. All which added to this special trip away to visit Iona Abbey and to enjoy the tranquility of the island and its nature .

Breakfast was amazing, cooked to order. Catriona was great. Host was very attentive and helpful. Complimentary wine at 5 o'clock was very welcome after a long day walking, etc. Ardoran House was immaculate. Iona is the most wonderful place in the world. I would book for next year but already full. I would thoroughly recommend.

Nothing not to like.

Ardoran House was absolutely lovely. The location was fantastic; we booked a twin with sea view which was breathtaking! The room was spotlessly clean, everything was high end and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection and beautifully cooked food. Richard was a brilliant host. He was knowledgeable about the island and always went the extra mile, for instance, arranging for our luggage to be collected and dropped off at the ferry, lending me a walking pole and drying our swimming gear for us after a dip in Port Ban. He also invited guests for a glass of wine and nibbles in the conservatory every evening before dinner, sometimes joining us for a chat.

Iona is expensive and the cost was pretty high, but for such lovely surroundings and so much help, it was worth it as a treat.
