Airy penthouse apartment, in the heart of Meran-o

Our stay at Penthouse Jolanda exceeded our expectations. The apartment was easy to find. Obviously recently renovated, it was very clean, warm and welcoming upon our arrival. So lovely staying in a historic building... but with all the mod cons! The centre of Merano is reachable within a pleasant, 5-minute, tree-lined walk from the apartment. For our first short break in Merano, this location was perfect - all the city attractions we planned to visit were easily accessible on foot. The facilities were just as described. Parking, just behind the historic building, was easy - clearly indicated and secure. The beds were comfortable. A modern bathroom, with bidet and non-stop hot water for showers, hotel-grade towels - lovely. Everything worked fine - lights, sockets, WiFi. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare and serve meals, from cutlery and crockery, to a toaster, kettle and even a plug-in grill and food processor/mixer. Dishwasher tabs, kitchen paper roll, washing up liquid? Tick tick tick! Some ground coffee and tea/herbal infusions were waiting in the cupboard - really appreciated. Note that the entrance to the lift is a little narrow - an open, standard size baby buggy or wheelchair might not fit, so best to check exact dimensions with the management. The building itself felt safe and was quiet and tranquil throughout our stay. The balcony was beautiful. The view is mostly of mature treetops and the foliage was beautiful. Though it didn't bother us, some traffic noise from the street below was audible, especially at peak times. So, if you are a light sleeper, or like leaving windows a crack open at night, e.g. during summer months, we would suggest bringing earplugs to be sure. The property manager, Thomas, happened to be out of town when we arrived in Merano, but he still checked in to make sure everything was ok, was very helpful with any questions we had, and remained contactable throughout our stay.

Highly recommended!!!

It's a wonderful home in a very good location. Two very nice bedrooms, very bright and modern bathroom (shower, sink, toilet, bidet), a good size kitchen / eating / living area, small entry hallway, and a very large balcony facing south. All is furnished and equipped to luxury standards. Impeccably clean. Situated on 4th floor of an upscale residential building with small but efficient elevators. Host Thomas met us at the car park, helped with luggage, showed us around and gave good tips what to do, see, and eat. Very responsive at all times via phone and Whatsapp. Easy check out. German speaking (surely also Italian and English, maybe more...) Supermarket, bakery and several shops within 3 min walk. River promenade 2 minutes Merano downtown 5 min. Train station less than 10.

I wish we could have stayed longer. The private and gated car park is on the rear of the building (must walk around the small block), no option to load/unload directly at front door.

Sehr schönes Appartment. Ideal für 2 Pärchen mit den zwei Schlafzimmern. Perfekte Lage. Vermieter sehr proaktiv und freundlich mit vielen Tips. Rundum gelungen. Parkplatz auch vorhanden. Supermarkt 5 min zu Fuß.

Das Haar in der Suppe müsste man suchen ;-).

Sehr passende Unterkunft für ein paar Tage als zentraler Standort für Wanderungen und Ausflüge.

Eigentlich alles: Komfort, Ausstattung, Sauberkeit, gute stilistische Elemente und die unkomplizierte Gastfreundschaft des Vermieters.

Obwohl die Wohnung im 4. Stock an einer mäßig frequentierten Strasse mit vielen Bäumen liegt, ist der Verkehr bei offenen Fenstern und am Balkon deutlich zu hören und auf Dauer störend. Nachts und bei geschlossenen Fenstern ist es aber OK.

Geweldige locatie bijna midden in het centrum van Merano, zeer mooie stad en ook in de omgeving is het erg mooi. Super mooi en schoon appartement waar alles is. De host is heel erg vriendelijk en geeft je veel goede tips (ze waren allemaal top). De omgeving is erg mooi.

Je hebt wel geluid van de weg waaraan het appartement ligt. Maar ja dat heb je als je op een steenworp van de stad af zit.

Sehr sympathischer & unkomplizierter Gastgeber, der sofort und immer wohlwollend geantwortet hat bei Fragen. Alles super zu Fuß erreichbar, da Zentrumsnähe. Geschmackvolle Möblierung der Wohnung mit tollem Balkon. Sauber sowieso. Wenn nochmal Meran, dann wieder bei Thomas! 🙂
