We loved our family holiday at Wayside Cottage. It was convenient for the pub, chinese restaurant and shop, with efficient bus service to York and Beverly.
The place did seem a bit tired and neglected. The shower didn’t work properly and the wi-fi was intermittent. All the glasses and crockery had to be washed before use. None of the kitchen basics that one would expect in a rental (salt, pepper, cooking oil) were provided and just one dishwasher tablet for our whole week stay.
Also missing was a welcome pack with details about the cottage and equipment.

Beautiful home and great location
The property could have done with a bit more attention to detail with the cleaning - not a huge deal as would wipe down most things before I use them regardless.
