Stunning location & accomodation

Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights in 'Daisy' The accomodation was just beautiful, so many lovely little touches. The communal kitchen had everything you could possibly need and was so clean. The shower/toilets were immaculate and far exceeded our expectations. The location on the lake was fab, so much wildlife around. Andrew was very friendly and kind. We wull definately be back.

Homey, wholesome and all round beautiful!

AMAZING!! In every way possible. The most beautiful, peaceful, magical place, with the sweetest hosts, the most comfortable bed, and the cutest alpacas and wallabies, and Beau the labrador. We rowed on the lake, played board games, enjoyed our graze box we had ordered in from a local business, and had the longest and best sleep we had had in a while! Night time was beautifully quiet with just the lovely sounds of water and birds nearby. Our cabin was gorgeous, super cosy and homey, and there were so many wonderful little details and touches both in our cabin, and around the site in general. We are only sad we weren’t staying longer this time and felt quite emotional leaving! We left feeling really beautifully rebalanced and rested, which was much needed, and can’t wait to come back when as soon as we can!

Fantastic Site

Loved everything Andrew and Wendy are fantastic hosts nothing was too much trouble and the glamping huts are beautiful everything is thought of the bed was really comfy had a wonderful night's sleep, the communal areas are lovely and clean with an area providing games books somewhere to just sit and relax, a communal kitchen and outside cooking area, also a small lake with a boat to take out which we did and had an absolute blast. There are alpacas and wallabies onsite which are delightful and Bo the dog is a gem. Lovely location not far from York city centre also a few local pubs for food nearby. This really is an beautiful glamping site with exceptional hosts wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to others.

Amazing peaceful relaxing welcoming break

It was so peaceful and relaxing. Andrew and Wendy were amazing hosts nothing was too much. The night times were my favorite. I went alone just for a recharge and felt so safe.

The small top window didn't have a blind or curtain so it let a little light in the morning but that is me really trying to think of something I didn't like. It was just so good!

We will be back!

The location was beautiful in front of the lake. The boat was free to use and good fun. Plenty of board games, an old school pac man game, alpacas and wallabies! So much stuff to do. The cabin was beautiful and quirky with kitsch decor. Here were tea and coffee facilities and a wood burner. The bed was really comfy too! We felt so relaxed and peaceful and Wendy added some nice personal touches around the place such as a welcome plaque with our names on and hand written messages in the kitchen. Would highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Excellent break away

The setting of this little slice of heaven is amazing. Wendy and Andrew were so welcoming and made us feel so welcome. You can see all around the site just how much love and care has gone into every little detail that they have done. Honestly cannot fault the stay at all and before our first evening was over we already knew we would come back. We plan to hopefully become regulars here going forward! Cannot recommend enough for those who want to switch off and have a relaxing peaceful break.

Wonderful stay in nature with the loveliest hosts you'll ever meet!

To say we had a wonderful stay, would be an understatement! Wendy was so welcoming and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The grounds are beautiful, very quiet and you really feel like you're in a little oasis, away from the city. The cabin we slept in was lovely, with cute decorations and there was tea and coffee available. Wendy gave us lots of tips to discover York as well! We only met Andrew on the last day of our stay but he was just as lovely as Wendy! I couldn't recommend Acorn Glade enough if you're looking to relax away from the city and feel like you're in your own little nature bubble. I could write 3 more paragraphs about how amazing our stay was with Wendy and Andrew, but I'll leave it at this :)

Out of this world a hidden gem.

I would highly recommend acorn glade glamming to anyone . We are already looking to book again the owners are so lovely and made you feel so at home it’s a beautiful place and the picture don’t do it justice we have so many family and friends who are looking to book also if your wanting to get away and relax in a clean and chilled out environment this is your place also they can’t do enough for you we felt very sad leaving and will definitely be back it cannot be beaten.

A piece of heaven

We arrived at Acorn Glade no problem by following phone sat nav direct to the location, which was well signposted. Wendy and Andrew greeted us on our arrival, they are the friendliest and most helpful people that you’ll ever meet. They showed us around and offered advice on the area. The site is a hidden piece of heaven, so relaxing and quiet, and there’s nothing better than waking up to a lake and Alpacas roaming around. We stayed in Bluebell Lodge, overlooking the lake. The room was spacious, had lots of storage and tea/coffee making facilities. Wendy and Andrew have thought of everything, USB ports are available powered by solar energy, spare hot water bottle and umbrellas are available, it is decorated beautifully and little cute quotations can be found around the lodge. The log burner was outstanding, keeping the lodge lovely and warm, with more wood delivered by Wendy and Andrew. We got to see the Wallabys, and Andrew was kind enough to let us meet and stroke Sydney and give us some education on their species and links to Australia. We were initially apprehensive about communal facilities, but these are maintained so well by Wendy, Andrew and the showing of respect from other guests, that these have to be the best communal facilities that we’ve ever seen. The composting toilet in Bluebell Lodge is great if you need a midnight toilet dash. The ‘chicken shed’ kitchen area has everything that you need for self catering and the little wellbeing room next door is lovely with books and an arcade game (our favourite). We made the mistake of booking too much in York throughout our stay, and wish we’d have enjoyed this picturesque place so much more, we would definitely visit again and highly recommend this hidden gem. Thank you so much Wendy and Andrew for making our weekend so amazing.

It's a beautiful place to stay, if you like glamping you'll love this little treasure. Owners are extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was to much. So lovely to wake up over looking a stunning lake with alpacas strolling around. So peaceful.

Acorn Glade exceeded all of our expectations. Wendy and Andrew are by far the friendliest and most welcoming hosts we have ever experienced. Our praise can never go far enough. It is a beautiful site that allows you to completely unwind and relax. The rowing boat in the lake was perfect and the bluebell lodge was extremely cosy, especially with the log fire. Everything was perfect!
