Fantastic would go again

Property better than expected, facilities great within easy reach of York Used the Park and Ride great value Also had dinner at the Toby opposite

Superb

On arrival another family had already entered our accommodation. They had same surname (Cooper) but had entered wrong accommodation. After checking their paperwork they realisewd their mistake. However we had to wait 30 minutes before confirming this with the owners. After this initial confusion we had an excellent weekend and we received an apology from the owners.

Pleasant house in a good location

Hot tub was very good. Nice clean house in a good location, very quiet. Beds comfortable.

Shower in en-suite very small. A couple of spare pillows would have been good.

I loved the stay. Me and my friends had fun. We slept comfortably and enjoyed the hot tub.

It was hard to find where the coat hanger was. I would prefer the coat hanger to be by the entrance.

Hidden gem!

John, the owner was a wonderful man. Very friendly. The Barn itself was big, clean, comfortable and a home from home. There was a shared hut with jacuzzi and sauna and a second shared hut which was a games room. You can hear the birds when you wake up and you're far enough away from the road to feel like you're on a proper retreat. I would 100% come here again. 6 of us came for a 40th birthday and the Viking Festival. Bedding, towels, tea and coffee were provided. There's a dishwasher, laundry facilities, fridge, freezer, WiFi, TV and dvds, bath, shower, and the master room has an en suite.

Hardly a negative, but it's 3 miles from York Centre, and taxis struggled to locate us at times as they would go to the street parallel. Not really an issue, just something to be mindful of.
