Clean and spacious well equipped accommodation close to York.

Clean and spacious accommodation, well equipped, accessible bathroom, easy access to property.

We didn't realise how close the property was to the A64 (our fault for not checking), so we did experience some road noise. The sofa beds were not very comfortable (very hard). The shower in the accessible bathroom was unusable, basically a trickle - definitely in need of upgrading.

The nice place to stay, very clean! The location is good. Closer to a Park&Ride.

It would have been better if there were additional toilets. We had 7 people using one toilet. It was not very convenient in the morning.

I thought for the money, you would of got a welcome pack? Also no toilet roll holder Which I found a bit odd… the blinds in the lounge were not the easiest to go up/ down… but apart from that… it’s really good. The oven pan was too big to go into the oven itself???

A lovely, relaxing getaway in beautiful York that was perfect from start to finish.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful stay in York! We had such a lovely stay in York. The accommodation was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable break. The location was perfect. The hosts were really welcoming and helpful, and communication was brilliant from start to finish. We especially loved the little touches that made it feel extra special. York itself is beautiful, and this stay made the whole trip even better. Would definitely book again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Overall we had a great stay. The bride to be absolutely loved the cottage and the location.

The location is great! We stayed in cottage 4 which is in its own garden and patio area. The cottage itself was cute and a decent size. There was 8 of us attending and I was quite shocked at how big the cottage was. Bonus for anyone attending for hen party’s or stag parties as we struggled to find a location that would accsept us but mutton grange had no issues with us being a hen party.

The 2 sofa beds that where provided where okay, but there was no sheets. One sofa bed was a leather style material which one of the girls kept sticking to during the night. The main couch needs replacing as it was very uncomfortable (you could feel the wooden slats in it) but we spent more of our time by the dining table. One of the dining table chairs was damaged so we put that to the side as it felt like you were going to fall though it.

Basic but did the job!

Quiet location but also within driving distance to amenities. Although the host changed our accommodation last minute this did not ruin the stay. If you just want simple accommodation close to York centre then this would be ideal.

Feel like a lot of the facilities/items could do with being updated. Tv was not smart tv, electric shower downstairs could do with updating, a lot of our guests said the beds were noisy whenever they moved so not great for those sharing a bed. The cottage is missing those extra touches such as throws, pillows, lamps, rug etc in the living area to give it a more cosy feel. Beware of the Bluetooth speaker downstairs, the alarm on it went off at 6am and woke everyone up!

High expectations, low reality. No luxury, very basic, disappointing.

Location, comfortable beds, hot tub

No wardrobes, only one very cheap/hard sofa for 8, so had to use kitchen chairs to sit and chat, no cushions for comfort in the living space, tv didn’t work, curtains downstairs really thin and not hung properly…. No welcome message or gift offer on arrival. Overall given what we paid, there were no elements of luxury. As a group, we regularly go away for weekends… this was by far lowest quality for what we paid. Felt like somewhere that workmen would use as digs when working away.

The cottage was very clean and contained everything we needed. The hot tub was larger than expected and the outside space was great. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were amazing.

Think they must of recently be revamped as the kitchen and bathrooms seems very modern compared to the photos. Perfect place to gather as a group for a NYE party.

Superb

Lovely large clean well equipped property perfect for our hen do. Property was left open on arrival & keys left on table in the porch which seemed strange but worked fine. Loved the large hot tub !

You had to make sure taxis were booked well in advance when going into York city as very busy & you could be stranded for hours if not booked.

I did email Murton grange to say that the light fitting in the second bedroom was faulty, the lamp in the second bedroom was faulty , they’d benefit from using led bulbs as my daughter burnt her finger on the bulb of the lamp. there was an awful sewage smell that came from the kitchen sink. & one of the dining chairs was loose.

Just what we we're after!

Great Location for a groups, plenty of parking, also outdoor and indoor space is great for socialising. 10 min walk to the local brewery though the field lane or a quick taxi into the city. BBQ facilities supplied and had just been scrubbed up by the lads! Thanks for a great stay!

Couldn't get the oven working but didn't really need it so didn't try too hard. Hot tubs didn't work in the day time, only at night.

Great location, clean, well presented and everything you'd need for a stay. On site staff very friendly. 10 mins from Grimston Bar park and ride, to give easy access into York. Would stay again.
