Pleasant and Comfortable Stay

The accommodation was exactly as described and was good value for the price. I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The communication with the hosts, Darren and Elena, was excellent. They were available to help with any queries I had and their knowledge of the local public transport was very helpful as I don't drive. I would definitely stay again if I am in that area in the future.

Ideal for what was needed

Easy and quick to get into York centre from location and for the purpose of the booking the room was very good and had everything that was needed. I would definitely recommend as a overnight if needing to be in York for the night.

Friendly and very welcoming, felt at home and comfortable with our privacy respected. Really enjoyed the stay, and so close to amenities and park and ride into York

Disappointing experience. Partial Refund due.

Location good if one is driving. Useful parking onsite and a good pub 100 yards away.

The bed linen was old-looking and tired. The room was cold with no heating and the duvets too thin now it’s autumn, But the worst aspect was there was only COLD water. The hot tap did NOT work. Neither did the shower. Why? Immersion heater turned off? Blown boiler? So in a cold room there was no way to get warm. Also, no TV. Wtf? It’s surely an essential now, anywhere.

Friendly family, very welcoming. Clean and comfortable with good facilities.

The only teeny thing I would be aware of. Is that the shower knob is easily moved if you bump it when you're in the shower. It got very hot very quickly! It is easy to avoid when you are aware of it.

Our trip to York

The family who host are just fabulous, we were greeted by everyone an the children gave my son & i water an took us to our room, then sat chatting with my son, it was so welcoming, my son is autistic an usually struggles with new people, but he settled right in here, absolutely fabulous. Perfect location for everything we wanted to do, the room is great, very clean & comfortable, and although this is a family home it is probably one of the quietest places we have ever stayed at, I will certainly book again, we had the perfect sleep, no disturbance whatsoever... perfect hosts

Cosy & clean, would definitely recommend

Everything... the room was cosy and clean and had e erything you need.. the toiletries were a nice extra. The hosts were kind and accommodating. Really nice family, friendly and hospitalable.

It's not something we didn't like, we just thought adding a mini fridge would have been good but it wasn't a problem and it wouldn't stop us from staying there again :)
