We are very dissatisfied with the cleaner's work ,the bed linen was not changed:( There are cobwebs in the rooms ,the dust has not been swept ,behind the bedside cabinets has not been cleaned- one of our guest had asthma and she had an attack :( We tried to contact the help center, but no one responded to our call:(:(:(

We had difficulty connecting to the wifi but overall we were happy. A little more milk, sugar etc would have been helpful as we were in and out of the property, possibly a small welcome pack

Awful. Filthy Never again

It was filthy. There were cobwebs and dead critters everywhere. It had clearly not been cleaned for ages. Broken glass in the patio door. Cigarette ends outside the back door

Lovely place for family get together.

Spacious. Comfortable for our group of 8. Plenty of garden furniture. Nice big garden. Well equipped.

Fridge didn’t cool very well. Didn’t cool at all on Maximum setting.

Great place and the building is in good order, but it could do with a few things being attended to

It was clean, pleasant and in a good location from which to explore the surrounding area. We particularly appreciated having a downstairs bedroom for a disabled member of the family.

The bin was broken (a fault not corrected since we were there last year); the dishwasher wasn’t working and was out of salt and rinse aid, but none was supplied in the house. The holes in the spinning arms were also badly blocked, so we spent some time getting it working again. The fridge was much too warm even on the highest setting, so our milk curdled, there was a horrible ‘off’ smell in it when we first arrived, and one of our party, who brought refrigerated food with her, was violently ill. The sink strainer to the half sink was broken. It was lovely being able to sit outside but some of the chairs were broken—it would be best to remove them to save an accident!

Nice rural, quiet location and grounds, house size great and had everything we needed.

Cleanliness, a lot of cobwebs, dust and looked like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in a while. Internet poor. One sofa was very tired!

Location was stunning. Very peaceful and plenty of room. A great size property for up to 8 people! Loved every second of our stay 😊

There was no outdoor seating as shown in a photo. However, on hindsight I thought it might have been stored in the shed, which, unfortunately, I didn't think to check at the time.

Not really much

It was unclean cobs everywhere. High chair and kitchen bin dirty. Patio door couldn’t be opened. Lock on main bathroom Door was broken. No Wifi at all and there was a large group of us. Ruined the holiday. Owners were very unhelpful and didn’t want to hear our problems. Didn’t offer any firm of goodwill gesture to us.

Disappointing

The property itself is a modern four bedroom detached home with a lovely garden in a beautiful area with easy links to York.

Booking.com were brilliant as always. The property on paper should have been ideal . We had specifically wanted and asked for a quiet property which is how this is described by the company who operates it. What was not said is that there is a large industrial farm at the end of the road and tractors and lorries went up and down the single track road from very early in the morning until late at night constantly throughout our stay which was very disruptive, particularly with kids trying to settle in the evening. It was the height of summer and there was obviously farming activity going on which we were conscious of hence why we asked if this was a quiet property. We were disappointed by the dismissive attitude of YORGUEST when we reported the issue.
