Everything I'd hoped for from Tuscany and more

This was everything I'd dreamed of for a stay in Tuscany and more. The food was superb, the wine tasting a delight, the massage at the spa - quite possibly the best I'd ever had. The rooms are comfortable, the views spectacular and the trail running - amazing! Loved it!

We would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, romantic stay in Tuscany.

We loved EVERYTHING. We stayed here on our honeymoon and we were spoiled! The hospitality was superior. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Even when we said we didn't need our room cleaned, they ensured we at least had fresh towels. The shower was incredible and by far our favourite of all the places we stayed in Italy. They organized a taxi for us to go out for dinner one night and we had a small miscommunication, which they handled flawlessly. Breakfast was amazing and we had a late night meal in the restaurant one night, which we loved having available to us. The pool, the views and the grounds overall were to die for.

Nothing could've been better, we were absolutely blown away by our time here.

Luxury in Chianti

Wonderful locanda in a beautiful setting. Spacious rooms and a stunning pool. Private parking. A perfect location for exploring Chianti and nearby Tuscan villages. Onsite restaurant -Tavola di Guido - is a treat (although not our best/favorite meal in Italy.)

Absent and inattentive pool staff - we were told staff would patrol the pool area every 15-20 minutes to attend to guests/drink orders - but no one ever came down. There were multiple groups at the pool, but we had to walk up and ask for service. We also had some miscommunication with the front desk staff, as they signed us up for an onsite tasting experience and were going to charge us for it when we had only inquired. As other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast offerings were a little underwhelming.

The hotel’s location was absolutely amazing, surrounded by breathtaking Tuscan views. The property had all the facilities we needed, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Perfect hotel in Chianti

We had a wonderful stay at Locanda Le Piazze. Our executive double room offered breathtaking views that made every morning feel special. The pool had beautiful views to the Tuscany hills and vineyards - it was a perfect spot to unwind, and the whole place felt peaceful and relaxing, far away from the noise and traffic. All the staff were fantastic - so warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Dario, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and gave us wonderful advice on our visit to San Gimignano. We had dinner at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was excellent, and breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables that set us up beautifully for the day. We did a wine tasting at the sister hotel One Belvedere and it was amazing. Giudita , the host, was very knowledgeable and passionate about their wine and their natural ways of farming and making wine. We had a great afternoon learning about the process and trying their delicious wine and olive oil. Overall, it was a perfect mix of comfort, relaxation, and great hospitality. We would love to return!

Lovely location, beautiful gardens and vista over vineyards and olive groves. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and many areas for relaxation which we appreciated.

Wonderful base for exploring the hill towns

Incredibly comfortable bed with fine linen . stunning view overlooked in pool area

we were disappointed that the restaurant was closed instead replaced by an aperitif jazz evening . The finger food consisted of mostly breads and fried food - not what one would expect from a fine dining restaurant

Quite simply, a little slice of Tuscan heaven!

Our two night stay here was perfect. The location, room, staff, breakfast & pool area were all exceptional. Plentiful sun loungers.

The only negative, as such, was the gym area. It is pictured indoors, but was in fact outdoors in a glassed area making it even warmer than the 30+ degree temperatures. There was fresh fruit water, but no air conditioning, fan, gym towels or cleaning facilities to wipe after use. Otherwise, would have been 10/10 stay! Please note, this is just a minor issue - because the outdoor view & facilities of the gym were otherwise exceptional.

Absolutely everything the property, staff, food, spa everything was incredible. After doing Venice and cinque Terre it was the perfect way to end our vacation. We said it was a vacation from our vacation before we went home.

The entire property is an absolute dream. Every corner feels like a scene from a fairytale – lovingly designed, full of charm, and inviting you to pause, breathe, and simply enjoy. The views over the Tuscan hills and surrounding vineyards are breathtaking, with golden light and rolling landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s hard to imagine a more magical setting. The atmosphere is one of peaceful elegance. Whether walking through the gardens, relaxing by the pool, or enjoying a quiet moment under the trees, there’s a sense of stillness that feels both grounding and luxurious. It’s a place where time slows down – in the best possible way. The team at Locanda Le Piazze deserves the highest praise. The staff were exceptionally warm, professional, and always went the extra mile with a genuine smile. There’s a special kind of hospitality here – a perfect blend of attentiveness and heart that made us feel truly welcome from the very first moment. Our room was beautiful – spacious, serene, and tastefully furnished, with every comfort thoughtfully considered. And the food? Exquisite. Every dish we had was a celebration of flavor, quality, and creativity. Dining here is an experience in itself. We’re deeply grateful to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Locanda Le Piazze has captured our hearts – we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Perfection in the hills of Chianti!

What a beautiful hotel located in the hills of wine country! They offered us everything we could imagine and provide such kind hospitality! We loved our complimentary facials and the romantic dinner at their 4 star restaurant on the terrace! Everything was beautiful and immaculate!! We can’t wait to return for our anniversary!

Idyllic Tuscany recharge

We loved the location – nestled in the Tuscan hills, it was the perfect place to relax and disconnect, with breathtaking views all around. The staff were incredibly attentive – special thanks to Dario for the warm welcome. Locanda Le Piazze is just a 15-minute drive from Castellina in Chianti, a charming village full of local restaurants, and ideally placed for exploring the Chianti region, Siena, and beyond. Returning to the hotel’s swimming pool after our day trips was a real treat. We didn’t have time to use the gym or book the spa, but we had breakfast at the hotel every day – it was varied and tasty, with lovely views of the garden and hills. Our room stayed cool thanks to the AC and ceiling fan, and we slept perfectly even during the hot days of our stay.

Paradise

After a two week trip in Italy, I can definitely say that this is the most amazing and incredible place I have been in. The location is absolutely beautiful, we were in awe of the view and of the actual hotel. But best of all was the staff, so helpful and warm they absolutely made our stay. Wish we could stay longer, it was paradise.

Lovely hotel and grounds .

The hotel was beautifully set out . The gardens and plants were wonderful as was the stunning views from all around the pool.The pool area was lovely.It was immaculately clean and well tended.The bedroom was very comfortable and of a very high standard in terms of bedding and toiletries and added extras. The hotel building and grounds had no downside at all. Considering there was a fine dining restaurant on site the breakfast served was a buffet and very poor in terms of selection and quality.

The hotel was beautiful and tranquil and spar like. However people lit up cigarettes and smoked on sun loungers a round the pool with no regard for people next to them. There was no policy to ask guest to leave the pool are to do so. It was the same in all the hotel grounds. For this reason I would not return or recommend to others.

It was so lovely and we can’t wait to visit again!

The view from the pool was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was absolutely delicious and had some of the best food we ate in Italy - and they were also very accommodating of my many food allergies.

The area was fairly buggy, but that was not the fault of the hotel. They also charge extra for additional pool towels, which we felt should have been included.

Amazing stay in Chianti

The staff was wonderful - at reception, they were warm, welcoming and always available to offer suggestions and book reservations for wine tastings and other activities. The restaurant and bar staff were excellent as well - accommodating and professional. The cleaning staff were invisible, but clearly did a fantastic job. The hotel and rooms were beautiful, fresh, clean and well-maintained. The location was stunning and ideal for exploring local wineries, San Gimignano, Siena, Voltera, and the coast. The food was outstanding. Great breakfasts with lots of savory and sweet options. Dinner at Tavola di Guido (full menu) was exceptional. I only wished that we had booked it more than once.

We weren't able to take advantage of the complimentary spa treatment due to staffing issues, so I'd recommend booking ahead. Other than that, I only wished we stayed longer.

Superb

A lovely hotel in the middle of luscious Tuscan hills with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were always extremely kind and attentive to detail. As a bonus, the hotel has a top notch restaurant where we got to enjoy a 7-course degustation menu which was exquisite. There is also a spa and pool which we did not have time to enjoy so this will provide a nice excuse to return.

the bar inside was not really a focus of the staff! no one is there, you have to ask for the bar tender. when you get your drink, nobody is there again. as a guest you don't feel comfortable there!
