Camere Dentro Il Castello

Great location, very historic and cute. The owner that showed us in was nice.

We had a few questions we tried asking and didn’t get a response. Providing breakfast would make this soooo much better - we were walking Via Francigena (which I assume many guests are) and there is no place in town to get breakfast unless you wait, many people need to get an early start in the heat, and there is only one place to get food at all between this stop and Siena. (And that place is unlisted so we left town with no food and had no idea if we would get any for 12 miles).

Lovely location. Interesting and elegant decor. Luxurious linens. Host facilitated early check in.

Couldn’t access WiFi which is important when traveling.

My bedroom was lovely and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was divine. The breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly made scrambled eggs. Our host was warm and welcoming.

The backyard was hot in the afternoon and seemed a little unkempt

Monteriggioni is a small village and all accommodation are well located.

There was no communication from the host at all, i had to do a few international roaming calls to find out where to get the key, where to check in. Although we could access our room after my first call, i was told to check in after 7 pm, but not told where to check in as there was nobody at the property. At 7 pm i still had no communication and had to call again to find out where to check in. Communication could have happened via booking.com or whatsapp upfront.
