This is the third time we have used this hotel and we have never been disappointed.

The room was nice and warm arriving on a cold day. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Had a phone call the day before to confirm our booking. Breakfast was exceptional. We have never had dinner at this hotel but have been told by other guests it is very good.

Weekend break

Good sized room and loved its uniqueness. The bed although well slept in on one side, i got a great couple of nights sleep. Breakfast was good. The heated pool and sauna were excellent. It's a short walk to the pier, beach and the high street. Parking available in front and rear.

The bathroom. The shower wasn't instant but great once it came on. Having a shelf above the sink would have been great as felt it lacked storage space. The walls were thin and heard creaking noises.

Lovely spacious room & friendly, accommodating staff. Also was glad there was onsite parking.

I’d personally have preferred a walk in shower instead of a bath, but appreciate other rooms may come with that. Personal preference!

The hotel was awesome cosy clean welcoming warm. Staff were great especially Stuart he was amazing and really looked after us while we going out and coming in and served us drinks from the bar. Stuart knew our usual, great guy deserves a credit 100% excellent customer service at all times.

Property was amazing and the room was spot on. The only thing we were not quite happy was the shower head was spraying all over the place and the TV had no signal, Full English breakfast was okay the sausage was not that great and black pudding was over cooked.

Make sure that everything is working in the hotel room before you let your guests in. Tv sound not working in our room Then we were moved to another room and the spa bath plug did not empty. Had to use our nail scissors to prise open as naked and standing in a a cold bath filled up to our knees of water, such a shame as this was the bridal suite. Curtains top valance in main bedroom were covered in thick dust and curtain hooks dangling.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beachlands, the staff were very engaging and communicative, the leisure facilities were very nice. The breakfast was superb, we didn’t have an evening meal although we heard other guests say just how good the food was.

Life's a Beach(lands)

The Beachlands may look a little unprepossessing from the outside, but once you're in the door it's a whole other matter: nice atmosphere, friendly staff, cosy décor, and good facilities. The pool and the sauna were lovely, the garden was nice to sit in, and the breakfast was absolutely terrific (any place where I can have kippers wins extra bonus points). Near to the beach, too, so you can even pop down there to hear the waves last thing at night.

Will be returning… it is a lovely hotel!

Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning to order and was made to order. Staff especially Charles was so kind and welcoming. Our room was clean and cosy! Exceeded my expectations. The swimming pool area was such a lovely touch with the sauna. Nothing felt to much to ask for. Parking was good.

A tired hotel in need of some major upgrades

Convenient free parking at the front of the hotel. A good location for my needs.

1. The location of my room: Room 14 is a single occupancy room located at the front of the hotel on the 1st floor. The room overlooks a very busy main road which links the town centre to Uphilll, Oldmixon and beyond. 2. Excessive road traffic noise: The constant stream of overbearing noise from motorbikes, buses, ambulances, police sirens and cars continued throughout the night and into the early hours. It was so loud I couldn't hear the TV! As a result I barely slept. Due to the extremely hot weather, it wasn't possible to keep the small window closed in the room. Although a fan was provided, all this did was to circulate even more hot air around the room. 3. Torturous Matress: The mattress was cheap and of poor quality and I could feel the metal springs poking into my spine as I tried to get comfortable. In utter desperation, I managed to find a spare blanket in the wardrobe and decided to strip the bed so I could put said blanket over the mattress to try and add another layer of protection from the torturous springs. A truly awful night's sleep. 3. Damp smelling Bathroom: The bathroom smelt mouldy and the bath tub had chipped paint on the front panel. The shower curtain has seen better days and needs to be replaced. Conclusion: I have stayed in this hotel twice before (albeit pre Covid era) and had enjoyed both my previous visits, hence my re-booking this time round. However, I believe that since my last stay, the hotel has changed hands, and there seems to have been next to no investment made in the property. I was hugely underwhelmed by what I experienced, so much so that I checked out early the following morning. Suffice to say I will not be returning.

The perfect destination for a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Fantastic, helpful staff, top quality food from breakfast to evening dining and the best swimming pool in WSM, there is little more to ask for. The hotel is clean and welcoming and even the basic rooms have a fantastic bathroom, TV and plenty of storage plus a door on to a secluded garden. The restaurant is beautifully laid out and is bright and airy.

The hotel is some distance from the pier and centre but as taxis are not expensive this is not an issue and is easily out weighed by the quality of the stay you will enjoy at the Beachlands.

It was homely, we love the pool and facilities, the breakfast is lovely and the staff are great. Location is good as it’s away from the main part so quieter.

Some parts could do with a little update like some carpets and ceiling in dining room - but overall it’s lovely - just a bit of a spruce up here and there
