Location was ok didn’t have breakfast as wasn’t available
Would have been nice to have breakfast there

Very good location to town centre and beech front. Good size rooms well decorated.
Not the best shower in our room - low water pressure. Could be tricky to park at the hotel for some people as stated it's quite a narrow entrance.

Great location and room was a good size. Staff friendly and helpful
Heating and hot water only on at certain times.

Good location, near seafront. Very comfortable and clean room.
Had hoped for car parking but access alongside the building was way too narrow

Good location.
Clean
Uncomfortable mattress
Creaky bed
Very lumpy pillows
Poor shower
Very tight access to car park, so didn't risk it.

Good choice for breakfast. Room was well appointed and the ensuite bathroom was large with a bath and a shower. Good location, only a short walk to town centre/beach, also there were local facilities even nearer eg supermarket, take-aways.
All good.

Close to our son who is at university.
The decor is beautiful, room was very comfortable

Good supply of all useful accessories - tissues, iron + ironing board, kettle, tea/coffee/drinking chocolate, fridge. Excellent provision of hanging space and spacious bedside cabinets. Owner would have provided cutlery/crockery if we wanted to return with a takeaway (we didn't, to avoid stale food smells). Room and en-suite kept clean, drinking materials refreshed, and face flannels changed regularly. Simon was always helpful and Nicola, who chamber-maided was friendly and efficient. Room 5 was gloriously quiet, so going to sleep no trouble (but the fridge, if used, could disturb a light sleeper).
It took a while to get used to a later start to the day (07:20 for hot water for a bath) and of course no breakfast, due to owner's personal circumstances, meant always eating out, and generally not before 09:00 in Weston, unless you were prepared to go about 1 mile to the Cabot Court Hotel (Wetherspoons). Incidentally don't trust Google's suggestion of Jilly's or Scotty's Brunch Bar - both defunct.
Wifi could be slow; probably due to sharing with other guests. Slightly strangely, no razor socket in the bathrooom and the old fashioned taps were 'Cold left, Hot right' on the sink. The desk situated an the end of the bed meant that the accompanying dark-coloured stool could present an unseen obstacle. All this is mere nit-picking.

Everything, perfect location for everything, bed was so comfortable and plenty of refreshments replenished daily, and loved the fresh bottle of water daily which you don't get in places which charge more, a totally amazing place to stay and will stay here again on our next visit to Weston, also only a 20 minute walk from the train station snd the town centre and a couple of minutes walk to the promenade and beach

The room was beautiful with the most amazing ceilings. The owner greeted me, and whilst I didn't believe my car would get down their driveway, the Owner found me an alternative place to park.
I wasn't delighted with the pillows, but I rarely am, as they weren't my own. I suffer from a bad neck, so really I should travel with my own.

Oakover Guest house is situated very close to the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants. The guest house itself is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc. There was even a mini fridge in the room and fan to keep us cool during a very warm weekend.
The only thing was there wasn't a hairdryer which was advertised on the booking. This wasn't a problem though.

The room was very clean and tidy, with a spacious bathroom featuring a large tub and shower. It was just a short distance to the beach and promenade. We wish we could have stayed longer, as this property was truly a great find. Ann greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area again.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was comfortable and the hotel is just a short distance from the main centre of Weston, quiet at night.

Brilliant location, literally 2mins from the beach and 10mins steady walk to the pier/food/shops etc. Local pub across the road, very welcoming and friendly.
Was in Room 4 and couldn’t believe the value for money per night, probably one of the best Guest Houses I have stayed in and the comfiest bed I have had when away from home for some time.
Breakfast not included, but this was reflected in the current price, literally a short walk to get around 50 options for food…so no bother at all.
Would really recommend this Guest House for solo travellers or couples.
Bonus - Free parking to rear of property, little tight on entry but if your car has sensors consider it a free check that they are all working!
N/A. Couldn’t fault a thing!

On my Arrival the Oakover Guest house stood out on the street, the front of the property was immaculately kept and once inside this continued. I was greeted by the host Simon who couldn't do enough to accommodate my needs as a disabled guest. The room was spotless and everything you could wish for was there, even down to bottled water.
The following morning breakfast was amazing, for a guest house I was pleasantly surprised there was everything you could imagine all freshly cooked and piping hot. The rooms had good information sheets on local places to eat and takeaways

The breakfast was good.
The bed was comfortable.
There was no shower, the hose you had to slip on to the bath taps spout was split and it was only hand held
As usual, in this country, the bedding was too hot for the time of year.
