Cozy, quiet, and safe place to stay! Love it!

The location of the accommodation is excellent, and the surrounding neighborhood is very quiet and safe. It is within walking distance from the Koln Hbf and Cologne cathedral, and if you enjoy walking, the entire Cologne old town is basically walkable from here. The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth. The room was very clean, and the bedding, pillows, everything were very comfortable. There is also a well-equipped kitchen, making it easy to cook your own meals and make coffee. All the basic necessities were well provided. It’s a very cozy and welcoming place, perfect for family trips. Even on rainy days, there’s no need to worry, as umbrellas are thoughtfully provided at the entrance, which is very considerate. The staff were also very friendly and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended! I would definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Nice historic building but basic inside

Good location, nice exterior but disappointing inside

The room was basic and quite worn out and the bed is too small to fit two people. It felt a bit like a youth hostel.

Very clean and well presented. Host nice.

Very clean and well decorated. Lovely clean shower area. Easy access into town. Nice area. Kettle with tea and coffee supplied. Toaster , fridge and hob also in the room. Hairdryer, lots of towels , toilet rolls, shampoo and shower gel.

Room 5 mezzanine bed gets hot during the night. I personally found it hard to scramble into the bed. The sofa bed was comfortable though but my son grabbed that. Remember, no lifts so you have to be able to carry any luggage up the stairs.

Great position with everything provided

Great position, quiet side street but short walk to all the sights. Friendly and helpful staff and even offer use of laundry facilities. The room was small but had everything needed.

Reception is open at varying times so registration is essential for check in access. The higher floors can be a slog with heavy luggage and no lift.

Overall, we were satisfied.

We chose this hotel for accommodation during the fair we will attend. The communication with the hotel owner was very good; she was friendly and hospitable. The hotel's location is excellent, the room size and kitchen are adequate, and the hotel is clean.

The heating system was not working properly, and the room was cold especially at night (even though we reported the issue, they couldn’t fix it). The towels in the hotel were not changed daily; in my opinion, it would be better if they were changed every daily.

Disappointed

There was a nice restaurant close by, called La Fonda. The food was good.

When I was making the booking there was a prominent image showing room 8, and this is what I believed we were booking (with a spiral staircase) to a mezzanine floor. On arrival we were given room 4, which was a pull out couch and a steep ladder up to a 'loft bed" low roof level (ie one could not stand up straight at this loft bed). I wasn't keen on using a such a steep ladder to get into bed and I was not expecting to sleep on a couch, the alternative offered by the host were cushions on the floor. The curtains were not hooked correctly and were hanging off on one side. It wasn't possible for us to fix them as the ceiling was so high. It just gave a poor first impression.

Very nice property, close to the city center, the apartments had all comfort we needed. The owner is a very kind lady.

AC would be helpful, but the owner said the city hall does not allow AC on old buildings. There are fans in every room though.

No lift is a big issue for travellers with full luggage. Also the staircase is quiet narrow and can be a source of injury for heavy lifting. Though we were informed..it was last minute for us to change

Great stay in a lovely property.

Fantastic location and is close to the city centre. Everything needed for a short stay.

The people in the room above us were very noisy for two of our three nights, we do not blame the owners for this. We were on the fourth floor and not having a lift reminded my knees that they are not as young as they used to be.

Very nice appartment with new furniture. Appartment was vey clean.Great location near citycenter.

We had a lovely host Kirsten. She was very good in communication. She shared all the information about the appartment and kept in touch to check if our stay was fine. The appartment was very nice. Everything was new and clean. Nice beds. The location was just 1 street away from nice restaurants and bars and it was a 5-10 min walk to the Keulen Shopping area. The appartements are located in very nice and safe neighbourhood.

I'm not sure it makes sense to have a fully equipped kitchen when there's nowhere to eat. It might make more sense to have a tiny table + chairs, so there's somewhere to sit other than the bed :)

It was very quaint & quiet which myself & my family really appreciated. Everything is clean, tidy and organised.

Can't find the remote for the TV, had a hard time changing channels or going to Youtube/ Netflix. But not a big deal since we spent most of our time outside exploring what Köln and neighbouring cities can offer.

Had a wonderful long weekend in Köln

Both rooms we rented were really nice, they were W2 (1st floor) & W6 (3rd floor). They were both modern with well equipt kitchenettes and in gernerall they were really comfortable, The location in the city is really great only a 10min walk to the main shopping areas or 15min to the Cathedral and train station, and the road by the hotel was very quiet. The price per room was very reasonable compared to other similar options.

A wonderful amd cozy stay

This is my first Christmas in Cologne.I had a wonderful time staying here. The place was so cozy and had a homely vibe about it. Your room is just not a room. It's an apartment in itself that makes you feel like you have a cozy little home in Cologne. Each room is not the same a bit. And that makes your cozy apartment unique. The rooms are modern, and the stairways are traditional, making it a mix and match of old style and modern amenities. The sights around the hotel are calm and peaceful. As you step out, turn left and there's already a church right over there. Walking over to the Cologne Cathedral and The Hohenzollern Bridge takes you around 10 mins maximum. The hotel is located in a quiet spot and there's no disturbance. In your apartment, you will find all that you need when in your house. The staff were very accomodative and helped me with any small queries. As you open your windows, you get to see beautiful small gardens, you breath in the fresh air, and sometimes you hear the church bells tolling, or also the cathedral bells. For anyone who'd like a prime location and a place with homely vibes to stay while in Cologne, I'll say go for this. While stepping out, turn left if you want to go to the cathedral and the museums, and turn right if you want to enter the main city. I'm glad I got to stay in this wonderful place as it made my trip more exciting.

pillows were not too comfortable in mi personal opinion, and a microwave would have been handy. but honestly nothing to complain about.
