I would stay at this property again on a lower floor preferably.

Breakfast was lovely, plenty of coffee, tea, bread and croissants and cereals. The landlady was very friendly and provided us with information on the area. We had good chats with other guests each morning.

Our room was in the attic and the stairs was steep. A person with mobility issues (e.g. a bad knee) would find it difficult to manage. The bed was very low which was a problem for someone with a bad knee.

Great location - easy walk into Bayeux. Short drive to Normandy beaches and military museums etc. Very nice and welcoming owners. Well equipped - Supermarche close, too. Definitely use it again.

Great location close to Bayeux and easy drive to the coast. Spaceous & clean room, lovely garden, good selection for breakfast. Particularly appreciated the fully equipped communal kitchen area where we made dinner a couple of times.

Decent place to stay.

location and breakfast were fine(30 minute walk on foot to Bayeux). The couple were pleasant enough. Beautiful bathroom and it is very clean. outside is beautiful and you are allowed to use the facilities (kitchen and tableware).

The size of the room in the attic was not true to the square footing. you couldn't stand up in a lot of the space due to sloping ceilings (noones fault) but it means any private space is very limited. Knowing this in advance would have influenced our choice in staying here. Payment options are a bit confusing when using booking.com. You will need to pay in cash when you arrive. This was embarrassing at the end of our stay - knowing this in advance would have made payment easier.

Picture perfect Normandy house, a wonderful homebase for any D-Day traveler

We came for the 79th D-Day anniversary and our stay was perfect. Les Volets Bleus is situated at the perfect distance from all the D-Day beaches. While you will need a car, everything is about 1-1.5h drive. So for a history buff it is the place to be. The house is just picture perfect, it has a wonderful garden and ample parking spaces in front. It even has a small fountain with fish. Unfortunately we did not have time to spend in the garden as we visited all day. The room were clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was wonderful, just the perfect way to start the day. And so was the host, always eager to help us.

Might be only details, but the pillows could be better. I know it is not much, but it helps with the quality of the sleep. Keep in mind if you are a light sleeper that the floors are really squeaky (specially during the night when everything is really quiet). It is an old house, it has its own personality :)

The location is perfect for exploring the Normandy area!!!!! The atmosphere inside and out was extremely relaxing.

So much to enjoy. Los Volets Blue is a converted farm house that makes a lovely B&B. The koi pond, the garden, the front sitting areas provide a relaxed and quiet French country atmosphere. There is plenty of free parking. Our room (1 double and one single bed) was lovely, clean and modern; the owners are gracious and accommodating; and the continental breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent- just a short walk or drive to the bustling Bayeux center and close to grocery stores.

Soundproofing between rooms (above) could be better.

Large garden on the back side, and guests are allowed to use the kitchen. Well stocked kitchen where we could cook our own meals and enjoy them privately in the garden. Very friendly hosts.

Room in the attic was fine and clean, but for longer stays I'd recommend the larger rooms on the first floor. It was unclear to us what the masks-regulation in France is, as here nobody wore masks in the indoor common areas (e.g. hosts at breakfast). Maybe this is in line with regulations, but good to keep in mind for potential customers who may feel uncomfortable sharing indoor areas.

It’s small and compact, modern fittings. Very quiet and private. Plenty of room in garden to use. Pierre and wife were very helpful in securing a bike.

It’s in the suburb of Bayeux, it’s a little hike from center of town about half hr. But it’s no problem if you have a bike. It is perfect for bikers as Pierre also bikes.

Great stay in well located and presented property - ideal for countryside, seaside and history.

We liked the fact that the property was in a quiet location but close enough to Bayeux centre. We ate out a couple of lunchtimes in Bayeux, and there is a large variety of good restaurants available. At the property, facilities were excellent, and even the weather was good enough to BBQ each night!! There is a nice relaxed feel, allowing guests to sit out in the garden in the evening. Muriel and Pierre are very friendly and welcoming, and are more than happy to recommend local places worth visiting.

Prijs-kwaliteit was het een zeer goede b&b. De buitenruimte is heel gezellig om te zitten en het is ook zeer handig dat er een gemeenschappelijke keuken was met koelkast die je mocht gebruiken. Daarnaast zijn de eigenaars zeer gastvrij. De badkamer is ook heel proper.

Met het ontbijt had je wel voldoende gegeten, maar het was niet heel uitgebreid. Een beetje extra beleg voor het stokbrood had ons wel gesmaakt.

Luogo tranquillo e familiare

Struttura poco fuori la citta di Bayeaux in luogo silenzioso e tranquillo con possibilità di parcheggio esterno comunque molto comodo. Annesso bel giardino e tavolo esterno per potersi sedere fuori. Camera e bagno di giuste dimensioni forniti delle cose essenziali. La colazione è standard ma con prodotti buoni e freschi. L'accoglienza è corretta e genuina e crea una piacevole atmosfera di famiglia. Per chi è dotato di auto e vuole visitare, oltre alla città di Bayeux, i luoghi dello sbarco è una buona soluzione.

Det var det sødeste ældrepar der ejede stedet. Manden var så sød at han endda hentede os på stationen fordi vi ankom sent. Morgenmaden var lækker og fint stillet frem til en. Det var et smadder dejligt sted. De er begge super hjælpsomme og imødekommende. Kunne sagtens se mig selv komme igen

Det er gammelt sted så trapperne knirker og man kan høre de andre beboere en smule. Men det er virkelig intet slemt. Ikke noget der påvirkede os personligt, men må nok lige tilføje det

Super gastvrije eigenaren, prachtig pand op een mooie locatie.

Super lieve eigenaren die heel gastvrij zijn. Goeie locatie (op loopafstand van Bayeux) en de landingstranden. Je kunt gebruik maken van een keukentje beneden, wat fijn is om zelf nog een kopje thee te zetten 's avonds.

de kamer op de bovenste verdieping is met de schuine wanden wat laag voor lange mensen, maar aangezien je er alleen maar slaapt is het prima!
