Breakfast was great, even provided continental to-go brkfst on morning we had an early tour. Enjoyed talking with our other guests at table. The star of the show was the history of the facility. It was the atmosphere of such a historical building. (dates back to Richard the Lion-Hearted). The Normandy museum on-site was very interesting. The owners were very accommodating and communicative.
It is a little off the beaten path, but was worth the sacrifice of location. It was the experience which was so enjoyable. It is not a modern hotel, but was so much fun.

Christine was a great host. Good communication with us. She provided us with suggestions on places to see/visit in the area and along the Normandy coast - as well as gave us maps to use. Breakfast was good with lots of options including crepes and eggs. The room was spacious and clean.

It’s hard to know where to start, a centuries old manor with all the history to go with it, exceptional place to stay rural but still close to town
Nothing not to like

It was adorable, sweet, and restful. Easy walk into town.
No complaints about the property.
Breakfast was fine (cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread, coffee/tea, etc). A hot breakfast would have been nice.

Quite possibly, no actually positively the most wonderful accommodation I have ever stay in, in all of Europe. My mom and I were awe struck from the moment we drove in and met our host Christine. She is amazing! The manor is breathtaking, the rooms are cozy and meticulously decorated and the breakfast was bar none, the best ever! This manor even has it's own WWII museum! I just can NOT say enough good things about this stay. It was impeccable!
Nothing, it was perfection!

We arrived Friday for a weekend hoping to soak in some D day experiences. It was easy to find and the owner greeted us when we arrived. It's a very cute old house.
The room is more than big enough for 2.
The beds are comfortable and there is a water cooker to make a cup, but no mini fridge to keep a drink cool. The shower is a bit narrow, which can be a challenge if you are bigger or old.
After our first night, we went downstairs for a lovely breakfast. Again welcomed by the owner. Lovely fresh pastries, jams and cheeses. Also some yogurts and juices were available.
The small museum on site is pretty cool and we took some time to read it .
There is a big garden which is free to use for the better weather days.
Overall we had a great stay

A beautiful location with a picturesque garden, a comfortable room with interesting books to read, and a WWII mini museum in the barn - a great package! Very friendly host with useful tips and the best place to stay at while visiting Bayeux.
No downsides!

It's a delightful old Manor house which the owners are sensitively making use of by protecting all the historic features. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was excellent. A big plus for us was the safe private parking.
Nothing, we have visited before and we're very happy to return.

wonderful building and history
it was unintentional that there was no privacy in the bathroom as the room we had booked had water damage ..not our host’s fault

House has retained its old world charm. Our host was very friendly and helpful
Other noisy guests who seemed to be moving furniture above our heads in the small hours! They were inconsiderate, but old floor boards etc didn’t help muffle the noise.

The buildings and setting are beautiful and the rooms are comfortable.
The breakfast was quite basic. Some cold meats and slices of cheese would've been nice and fresh baguette.

A country manor a little walk out of doWntown Bayeux, run by an Anglo-French couple, with old stone buildings surrounding a courtyard, an orchard with fresh fruits you can pick from the branches, at night you can sit in the garden with little lanterns, at breakfast you eat copiously in a dining room at a long table, rooms with sculpted wood furniture

Breakfast was excellent, lots on offer, location was fantastic for us as we travelled to visitor sites around the whole of the north coast and beyond, good central location; Bayeux is a 20min walk which was great to stretch the legs, the garden is full of birds singing away - just excellent. Very interesting history of the building in centuries gone by and also in fairly recent years. Excellent hosts.
No negatives.

Very good bed and breakfast in charming little town. The building is nicely renovated. The decor is very cosy and sympathetic to the age of the building. Walking distance to the old town center. Nice firm bed, we slept like babies. The breakfast was lovely. The icing on the cake is the owner Christine, she makes you feel very welcome and it's like talking to an old friend.
The internet could have been a little faster 😊

Amazing stay at this lovely manor. Highly recommend it for a stay to visit Bayeux and the surrounding areas including DDAY sites along Normandy. Christine is a superb host and the property is very charming and a very relaxed place to enjoy downtime. A pleasant 10-15 minute walk into the town of Bayeux ( it doesn't feel that long).
