Maison d'hôtes de Charme, Wellness Experience

Vi bodde i en rymlig lägenhet som ligger vägg i vägg med värdens hus. Jean-Marie var en mycket trevlig, välkomnande och tillmötesgående värd som gjorde allt för att vi skulle trivas. Lägenheten är fördelad på tre våningsplan och erbjuder gott om utrymme. Frukosten var mycket uppskattad – Jean-Marie ordnade den helt enligt våra önskemål varje morgon. Läget är utmärkt, mitt i centrala Bayeux, med bara några minuters promenad till stadens sevärdheter, restauranger och samlingsplatserna för de guidade turerna. Parkering finns kostnadsfritt på gatan utanför, och vi erbjöds dessutom att låna värdens garage, vilket var ett stort plus.

Sängarna bestod av madrasser direkt på golvet. Det fungerade för oss, men riktiga sängar hade gjort vistelsen ännu bekvämare.

The host family was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The property is beautiful and offers a quaint local experience with historic vibes and a beautiful garden. Breakfast was lovely and the space was just right for our family of 3. Walking distance from just about anything you need in the town - including the train station. Host is also a massage therapist and is set up on the second floor bedroom if a guest schedules an appointment.

Unfortunately, we were there during a major heat wave and it was incredibly hot and uncomfortable to be inside, let alone in bedrooms that were on the second and third floor without much airflow- although a single fan was provided. There is only one bathroom on the second floor. The winding wood staircase is GORGEOUS, but may be challenging for some in the middle of the night from third floor. Not much to be done- just good to know. We chose to leave our luggage on first floor and work out of it from there.

The host and his son were very accommodating, even picked us up at the train station! The breakfast was lovely, although I feel it could have varied a bit during our stay. It is a lovely house with a beautiful garden to sit out in to relax.

The breakfast was repetitive during our stay, although the pastries were scrumptious! The bathroom could use a cleaning. There could have been a few more kitchen pots/pans, cutlery etc.

La cateva minute de centrul orasului, o casa vintage, partial restaurata. Rezervarea noastra a inclus intregul imobil, situat pe 3 (da, 3!!!) nivele si doar un singur grup sanitar!

Multe...aproape tot. As incepe cu lipsa caldurii. Desi am anuntat din timp, gazda nu a incalzit camerele corespunzator. temperatura in dormitorul de mansarda nu a depasit 15 grade in prima noapte. In camera de la parter (livingul) desi era foarte rece, gazda a pornit doar un singur calorfifer din cele doua. In dormitorul de la etajul 1, functiona un cabinet de masaj. In centrul cameri exista o masa de masaj si echipamentele aferente. Nu exista un loc pentru depozitat haine genti...nimic. Totul este extrem de auster dar nu va ganditi la sensul placut ci la sensul in care, dupa ce te invarti in jurul mesei de masaj, te lovesti de geanta de bagaje!! Micul dejun este modest. Am primit exact trei felii de paine si un singur cub de unt. Am solicitat mai mult si ni s-a replicat ca acesta nu este brunch!! Am solicitat oua moi si am primit doar trei. Grupul nostru era de 3 persoane. Foarte slab!
