Bucolic

Very nice landlady, and the setting was beautiful. It was really great to be able to get freshly baked bread (baked by the hosts) on Sunday morning when most shops around were closed. We also loved all their other (organic) homemade produce, including the dried apple chips and the fantastic cider, and big bottles of delicious apple juice. We got a small tour of the place (a small number of pigs, two donkeys, etc) a few days after we arrived. There was a trampoline that our little one could use, and she loved it! Wonderful that the welcome note said it was allowed to pick herbs in the vegetable garden. Lots of calming greenery to sustain the soul on the property, and beautiful traditional-style buildings. Lovely views of the Alps and flower-bordered meadows if you walk a little way up the road, where there are also riding stables (we did not use them). Salzburg is beautiful, of course, and there are lots of lakes to swim in within 25 minutes drive. The Freibad Leopoldskron open air swimming pool (3 pools, lots of grass to sit on, and great water slides) is fantastic (even in the not infrequent rain!) and costs a tiny entrance fee (something like 5 euro for an adult for the whole day in August 2024). You can see the Salzburg castle from one of the pools. I love that Austria makes such facilities available to all, not just the privileged few!

The room I slept in was only about 10 metres away from the neighbours' farm generator that started extremely early in the mornings (5 am I think!). This would not bother some people but I am sensitive to noise and could hear it through my earplugs! It would have been nice to know that bread was available on the Sunday (we found out by accident). Salzburg has a lot of traffic, so be aware of that if you plan to drive. Depending on traffic, it's about 22-25 minutes' drive to the centre of town (we should have checked on Google maps!).

Nice little cabins away from city

Host was excellent. Location was near small towns for easy access to grocery store (~5 min away), restaurants, Salzburg, AND Berchtesgaden was only about 30 min drive! Laundry available --- a real plus. You got the complete cabin and that was really nice. Full kitchen. We will stay there again if ever in Salzburg again. We had a car, and I can see that this place might be a little trouble if you had to rely on taxis or buses. I recommend having a car. We tend to like to stay away from main parts of cities if we have a car. This was perfect in that the location was close to everything in the area.

You have to go to the main house. It was a little unclear about having to go there. So I had to knock on the door and thought I was going to have to ask where the place was. Turned out it was the main house for the rental. Might be helpful with a sign? Also, talk with host about the heating, if you are staying during colder weather. It works though the floor and eventually heats up the cabin. Upstairs might remain a little colder. But it does get nice and warm in there, and there is a small fireplace.

Lovely

Awsome location. Very cozy holiday home with all that you need for a comfortable stay. The host is super nice and is happy to help. Its a beautiful farm with a small shop and all fresh items are available to buy there. The juices, jams, apple cider are specially very delicious.

I highly recommend staying here. Was a great reset for us in the countryside. Would be great for families with kids!

The location, outlook with surrounding gardens and the charm of the accommodation. Very friendly owners, great having the farm store handy. Close to local shops and Salzburg. Kitchen facilities were great too.

It was quite warm during our stay and had to ask for a fan. Maybe consider fans in bedrooms or AC units.

The llovely welcome from the owners on our arrival and being shown around the cabin and where all the facilities were. Delicious homemade biscuits, wine, jam and fruit were in our cabin which were a wonderful warming gesture and being able to feed and pet their lovely farm animals at any time. The underfloor heating was amazing!!

There was no snow!! Otherwise, everything was perfect 🥰

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the farm produce such as butter, jam, cider, milk and juice. The holiday home was well equipped and the welcome food supplies from the farm was very thoughtful, we would definitely visit again!! Highly recommended.

Wir haben ein sehr schönes Ferienhhaus vorgefunden und eine tolle Vermieterin, immer ansprechbar und freundlich. Die Lage war für unsere Bedürfnisse sehr gut. Die Bahnanbindung mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist ebenfalls mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. In der Küche war auch für die Selbstversorgung alles vorhanden incl. einiger Kostproben vom eigenen Hof. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt .

Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub !

Herzliche Vermieter, hervorragende Ausstattung,Kamin,Grillplatz,ländliche Atmosphäre in Stadtnähe - was will man mehr ? Ein Supermarkt ist 5 Autominuten entfernt.Ein 15 minütiger Spaziergang zur Haltestelle Hallwang-Elixhausen zur kostenlosen (!) Nutzung des Zuges nach Salzburg Hbf mit 10 minütiger Fahrtzeit. Die ganze Familie inklusive Baby und Hund hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen gern wieder !

Super nette Besitzer, sehr schöne Einrichtung, tolle Lage, Kamin mit ausreichend Feuerholz und sogar noch ein paar Kostproben vom Hofladen.

Wirklich Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau: Die Internetleitung war für 5 Personen etwas schwach und der Fernseher hat schon viele Jahre auf dem Buckel...
