Salzburg Place to Stay

A characterful apartment that has been modernised sensitively to preserve its features while being practical and comfortable. Such a great location, slightly tucked away off a main square in the old town, so nice and quiet yet within reach of many bars, restaurants and shops. There’s a supermarket nearby. The funicular up to the castle is just around the corner. Internally everything works well, from the powerful hot shower to the well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We loved it and were sad to leave. Michael is a very helpful host who is informative and quick to reply to any questions. A great place to stay!

We loved the location! Everything was so close n the Old Town. We loved being able to open the windows in the lovely, very clean apartment.

For us the apartment was perfect

Everything! Perfect location in the old town just underneath the Fortress. We walked everywhere. Good clear communication with host regarding check in arrangements. The apartment was very spacious. Comfortable bed, luxurious bedding and towels. The shared basement laundry was a welcome addition. The garden was worth the walk up the stairs. Would happily return

Nothing. Just be aware that it is a short walk over the cobblestones to reach the apartment as taxis cannot drop you right at the door.

Location is terrific. Right in the heart of the city, part of a relaxed neighbourhood a little away from teh square, with a host of restuarants and bars. A short walk to anyway note-worthy in the city. The apartment was a good size, it didn't feel too small for two of us.

The photos are a little misleading as they show photos of all the different rooms available. We were given the ground floor. So the view in the photos (which was actually what sold us on this apartment) we did not have. On the ground floor we had next to no natural daylight and the room did not reflect images on the listing. The bed absolutely destroyed my back too, it was soft and felt slopey on both sides. Both me and my partner struggled - so if you have back issues be warned!
