Fabulous location. Plenty of hot water for showers. Nicely decorated, good bed linens and welcome tea and coffee.

The shower room was very cold due to the radiator not working, we would have liked a microwave to prepare meals as we only had 2 ring hob.

Amazing location with spacious apartments. Everything in Old Town was a 10 minute walk or less.

This property had very spacious living areas that made it comfortable. Even with luggage, there was ample space to move around comfortably. The shower was also spacious and amazing.

The toilet was situated in a manner which required the user to sit at a 45 degree angle since the sink vanity was immediately in front.

Location first. The apartment was mostly well appointed and comfortable. Access info was multi-step but easy.

This was not a property issue per se. as we move into and through our 70’s, I need to be aware of the hill and stair climbing requirements for a property. This one is steep in all aspects. No problem for younger are more mobile folks and a great place to stay! There was no bath soap or shampoo. I must have missed that omission in the amenities.

Cozy apartment, perfect for two people. All amenities and extras such as coffee pods and laundry detergent were greatly appreciated. It’s in a great location in the heart of the old town, but in a quiet street.

The apartment was fantastic! The location was amazing, very central and the views from the apartment garden of the castle is really lovely. Stunning place, spotless and very spacious. Will defo return… would highly recommend

Made our vacation!!

First, there are several rooms to stay here. I stayed in the room with the two wing chairs in the living room. This is room #4 with the most stairs and top floor. It’s in the best possible location! Right below the fortress, near the cathedral. The garden is shared - but no one was there. Super comfortable for two with comfortable beds. Has all the basics in the kitchen - coffee maker, all utensils, salt & pepper & oil, pots and everything else. Hot water was a little weird to figure out (push in the button on the left, then turn upwards), but was great after the learning curve! This place made our stay! We loved it!

Dryer takes a long time to dry - but I was happy that it was offered! Had detergent for use too!

The apartment was spacious and characterful, right in the centre of the Old Town in Salzburg. We could hear the bells of the cathedral which were very pleasant. Excellent shower. Use of washing machine downstairs was very useful. There was a small but decent supermarket nearby

The lighting in the seating area was not very good. We could hear noise from the flat above, especially very loud footsteps which kept us awake.

A beautiful apartment in a quiet part of the Altstadt. Having access to a laundry with dryer is a real plus for travellers.

Final set of stairs are narrow and steep, so may not be suitable for the elderly staying in Rm 4

Central, relaxing and yet still part of the city vibe.

We loved the size and feel of the 2nd floor apartment. The beds are very good and comfy. The host was quick to respond and had designed the room that not only made you feel at home, but had class and style in keeping with the city.

Very grateful for such a lovely place to stay! Wish the shower and towel situation was better.

Amazing location!! So comfortable, clean and central to everything in old town! Host was very responsive and let us use his washer and dryer. We loved the back patio and had breakfast out there most mornings.

Our bathroom experience was lacking. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor no matter how careful we were to keep water away from the side. On top of that, the towels simply would not dry in that room, even when hung up to dry all day.

Everything was excellent - I’d highly recommend this place

We enjoyed the elegant and spacious ground floor apartment. The location was perfect for old town rambles, the fortress and cathedral, museums and restaurants. The kitchen was very well set up snd functional for a short stay. The easily accessed laundry was a great help to us.

Michael was a great host!

Great location and central to all places of interest.

Did not know until too late that we could not even drop luggage off if not arriving between 6 am to 11 am which made it very difficult for us having to drag our luggage on cobbled pathways all the way to the apartment. Also a lesson learnt by me to ask before booking is finalised.

A beautiful apartment in a fascinating historic street in Salzburg.

The location was fantastic but the directions were not super helpful. We had to be dropped off with some luggage which had to be dragged from the Capital Platz to Herrengasse street. The cab driver did bot know how clise we were to Herrengasse, so a little diagram would have been helpful.

Comfortable and spacious

The apartment was extremely spacious, with a separate lounge area, dining table, desk and bed area (in same room), then a separate bedroom hall area (with a single bed), separate kitchen and bathroom. It was very homely. Nice outlook over a park. Very few stairs to get to the front door. A short walk to shops, which made it quieter.

Salzburg Place to Stay was the perfect place for us to stay in Salzburg.

The location was great. So close to everything. Michael was a great host. Sent restaurant recommendations, provided additional coffee when requested and came to our rescue letting us know where we could buy some super glue as the soles of one of our shoes came off. The room was very comfortable and clean. Stayed here as a neighbor had recommended it. We would stay there again.

The only minor thing was that the clothes washer was downstairs. There was a clothes dryer as well which makes up for it.

Great location, good apartment but lacking aircon for >30° weather

Great location in old town. Lovely property

Had to carry bags up lots of stairs as we were on top floor. Boarding and it was very hot . Had to have windows open and fan on all night. Curtains didn’t make the apartment dark.

Fantastic location in the old town which made sightseeing easy. It was very clean and easy to prepare meals.

Unfortunately the bedroom is very small which limited the size of the bed. We are not big people but found it too small and difficult to sleep.

Do yourself a favor and book this room now

This was the best location for visiting Old Town. It was the most charming apartment. You could open the windows and hear church bells ringing through the day. A nice kitchen for if wanted to do your own cooking and a big bathroom. The shared outdoor patio area was so quaint and a lovely place to enjoy a meal. The owners were very prompt in answering any questions and there was access to a washer and dryer. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. My expectations were exceeded 100 times over. I would stay here again and again and would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Salzburg.

My only recommendation would be to provide guests with two keys. You have to lock the door to the apartment with a key from the inside as well as the outside. Because there is only one key, if someone wants to stay in the apartment they may not be able to lock the door to nap. I locked my mom in the apartment, not thinking that she couldn’t get out while I went to run an errand and she stayed behind. Thankfully I was not gone long, had I left for the day this would have been an issue. Also, there were a lot of stairs to get to our room, this is to be expected for the location and wasn’t a problem for us, but would be good to know for any traveler with mobility issues.

Superb Stay in Salzburg

Beautiful Apartment in the Altstadt ( old part of the city) , directly below the Hohen Salzburg Castle which dominates the skyline of the city. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Ideal location to explore the old part of the city on foot and nearby walking tracks will take you up to the Abbey and Castle and the Monschberg and Kapuzinerberg mountains which are also within easy reach . A great location from which to go on numerous interesting walks. Will definitely wish to stay here again if we return to Salzburg. Great Host. Clear communication , good instructions and we had no problems whatsoever. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect

Wonderful, cosy studio which is much bigger than expected. Bed is so comfortable. Shower is good. Location superb.

Difficult to cook with only 2 hot plates. A microwave would be useful. A little difficult to locate. Taxi driver was a bit confused but we worked it out.
