Beautiful location, very friendly staff, amazing breakfast.

A bit off off the beaten track, and no coffee and tea facilities in the room, albeit there was a coffee machine and a drinks dispenser in the Stüberl.

I initially identified this accommodation while researching onsite parking in Salzburg. Staying in an active monastery in parklike setting in the middle of the city, with spectacular views from the rooftop that rival the castle itself - this was, dare I say - a heavenly surprise. The converted monastic cells are appropriately tight for men who dedicate their lives to prayer and take vows of poverty, and if you are not in good shape, the hike up and down to mountain can be daunting. But if you want the experience a pilgrimage atmosphere, this is your place! The breakfast was also very good.

It's nice to meet other guests as the evening winds down, so I would suggest adding more seating to the center of the garden. Finding the road up the hill was also rather confusing. Perhaps giving the exact GPS coordinates to the road's entrance as opposed to an address would help.

The staff and our rooms were top class but the breakfast was the best I have had anywhere in Europe.
