Villa Flores Room

I really liked the location. The room is right in the middle of Dubrovnik Old Town, and you can walk from one side to the other in under 10 minutes depending on your tolerance for steps. A helpful tip for anyone arriving through Pile Gate is to ignore Google Maps telling you to walk through Stradun and take the steps halfway down. Instead, take the first left and go up those steps, then walk across. You’ll climb fewer steps and they’re not as steep, which makes things much easier when carrying luggage. The room itself was minimal but clean, comfortable and well maintained. There was a bed with just enough space around it, a cupboard for clothes, a very good working shower and bathroom, and both an A/C unit and a humidifier/dehumidifier to keep the room comfortable. Another useful point was that we were given access to a separate room at check‑out to store our luggage. It wasn’t a bedroom - more like a cleaning or storage closet - but it had a toilet, a basin and enough space to change clothes if needed. Arrangements were made so we could get in and out easily after check-out. Overall, the location was the standout feature, with everything in the Old Town within walking distance.

There are a few steps to climb to reach the room, but that’s completely normal for Dubrovnik Old Town and something you’ll encounter almost everywhere inside the walls. There is also a small fridge in the room. It’s useful given the heat, but because the room is small and the fridge is right next to the bed, it does vibrate and the motor can kick in during the night, which isn’t ideal.

We loved it, great location and responsive host. We will return! Try Buzz Bar around the corner!

Quiet, very clean, minimal steps for old town (~20 steps and spread out) room. Wonderful 2 head shower with lots of hot water (enough for back to back showers, and still more). Shutters for the windows to keep it dark. Nice bed, comforter and pillows. Great expresso coffee maker in the foyer. Kettle in the room.

The location can't be beat! It's not too hard to get to based on the restrictions cars have. You only have a few stairs in comparison to other places. Check in was also easy.

Unfortunately, the room was really small. That can be fine, but it was hard to deal with. The placement of the AC had it constantly blowing on your while you're in bed. There wasn't really space to even put your bag down to open it very easily. None of the doors lock automatically so it's super tedious and annoying to unlock and lock two sets of doors every time. Our bathroom was awful. They didn't give us enough towels or toilet paper for our stay. We ran out of toilet paper, and we got two thin bath towels total for two people, two face towels, and two beach towels. The issue is, the bath towels don't dry well because it's so dark in the room with no air flow, so they were basically damp our whole stay. There are only three hooks for all those towels too. The room was kind of dark and dingy, so nothing ever dried. The shower door was also broken and a huge pain to deal with. We couldn't close it all the way because it was off the hinges, and it would make our floor wet so our floor was just always wet and the floor towel was not absorbent (and also never dried). We were on the bottom floor so maybe the other rooms are a better experience.
