A lovely stay with a couple of caveats.

Excellent location and lovely friendly staff. Delightful owner.

Checking in time quite late at 17.30. Space inside quite tight as I walk with a crutch.

Good location near to many places to eat. Very friendly staff. Good comms on the day of arrival via phone messages.

The room didn’t feel particularly clean as there was a musty smell. The carpet in the room was pretty horrible. Completely worn. Bar / restaurant was closed at 9pm.

Great Hotel with Motorbike parking.

We enjoyed our stay in this centrally located hotel - Thank you. We really appreciated the secure parking for our motorbike, and the owner was extremely helpful in making sure this was easy to find. The bed was lovely, the room fine, and we had a lovely breakfast in the bar area.

The shower cubicle in our room really needed a good scrub! The rest of the room was clean and tidy.

Very good stay apart from the problem with the duplicated charge for dinner

Helpful staff. Good meal in the restaurant, even though we arrived just before the kitchen closed.

I found two charges for our dinner in the restaurant on our credit card - one from the restaurant where we did pay with the card; another added, presumably by hotel reception who presumably had also received it from the restaurant. I reported this to the credit card company since we had left the hotel by the time I discovered the duplication. The second charge was withdrawn by the next day from my CC account.

This is the 4th time we’ve stayed at Les Frangins. It’s cheap, comfortable, and right in the centre.

Room was very tired, cleanliness left a lot to be desired worst was the noise of groups of people arguing and very noisy until 4 30 in the morning I suspect leaving a near by night venue

Excellent overnight stop on route! Very helpful at reception after i mistakenly put in wrong date and very willingly allowed us to change and stay same evening! Location is excellent with free overnight parking just outside! Will definitely stsy next time we’re passing thro!

Great for a one night stop over - great location, clean and friendly

The hotel is in a fantastic location in the town, within a couple of minutes of lots of lovely bars and restaurants. There’s also easy, free parking just outside in the square and of course it’s only 30 mins to Calais. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and check in etc was quick and easy. No extra charge for the dog either! We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food but it’s always handy to have an in-house restaurant. Room was comfortable and basic as you might expect from a 2 star hotel - cheap and cheerful. This is a good quick stop-over hotel

This is a 2 star hotel so although comfortable and fine for a one night stop over, I might like a bit more atmosphere and more updated decor if I was staying longer. Can’t fault it on the price and location though.

Jan the owner was very helpful. It was valentines day so the restaurant was busy but he sorted me out a table for dinner. It was a nice dinner. He sorted me out with parking also. You can park in the car park across the street free after 6pm,but must move before 8am. I stopped here once before and it's a good hotel, good food and nice staff. I'd certainly recommend it.

Confortable and friendly hotel in the town centre.

In the centre of the town on the edge of the main square. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was compact but had everything we needed. Breakfast extremely good value for E9: cereal, juice, eggs, ham, cheese as well as baguette and croissant, and as much trea or coffee as you wanted. Excellent decor throughtout the hotel. Very friendly proprietor who was happy to help.

Shower temperature adjustment went very quickly from cold to comfortable to scalding hot. Easy to tap the handle by mistake and be frozen or scalded. Proprietor promised to look into it. Some noisy teenagers one evening, but that could happen anywhere.

Superb

Comfortable, unassuming, traditional French hotel centrally situated, very convenient for sightseeing and restaurants. Very helpful and friendly receptionist. From the hotel you can walk to the main square, the cathedral and the Abbey ruins. Bed was comfortable, everything very clean. Would stay here again.
