Quiet, comfortable. Great for dogs: big secluded garden. v. convenient if crossing the channel late pm. Plenty of parking.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Restaurant: v. good breakfast, staff friendly and helpful.
Food OK, but not so well prepared (v. dry and tasteless salmon terrine, very very tough steak cuts (other guests returned it to be given to dog …)
Recently re decorated , but some fixtures still old (wardrobe sliding door off its runners, would not open)

Location was good, restaurant and pool both good
There was no signage to the pool making it difficult to find due to building works. Room was small although we booked a good room.

Beautiful property, large (free) onsite car park, rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable, evening meal was excellent, breakfast was good with hot and cold options.
Staff very polite and friendly, hotel was decorated for Christmas and looked very pretty, they has free Christmas meringues in the bar and a reception, which was a nice touch.
There aren't any USB plug sockets so be sure to take a charger with a plug with you for your stay.

The Chateau is a beautiful building, and the seperate annexed restaurant and accommodation are very in keeping and built to a high standard.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, particularly on reception.
My wife and I were disappointed that we were not informed in advance about the refurbishment being carried to the ground floor of our accommodation. As a result it was cold, noisy & dusty/messy, which wasn’t what we had in mind when we booked it!
To use the swimming pool, due to the building work, you had to walk around the outside perimeter - in a towelling dressing gown 🥶

Chateau Tilques is a beautiful old building in a peaceful location, with a nice heated indoor pool. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent .
Nothing.

The overall nice environment and the building, plus the swimming pool was an absolute bonus. Breakfast was lovely also.
Thank you. x
Nothing much really. Rain was not your fault, ho ho.

Convenient and safe for solo traveler. Clean and comfortable standard but not luxe.
Not enough staff - quite an empty atmosphere.

The lovely "chateau" like main building. Nice room decor. A bathroom with a bathtub. The hotel provided us with bottled water. There was a kettle in the room with nice big mugs. There is a swimming pool. We charged our car using the charging point (via QR code). The price was normal. The breakfast was very good - some good coffee and cooked breakfast (eggs, etc) in addition to bread, yogurt and pastry. The hotel is located in nice surroundings. St-Omer is a must-visit place!
There was no fridge in the room. The restaurant was fully booked. We wish we could have stayed around the region longer. There are many things to explore.

Veru good value, clean room, friendly staff and good buffet breakfast. Recommended and will use again.
A couple of the electric points in the room didn't work. Also, when arriving for breakfast at 9.30 am some items were finished and not renewed.

The magnificent chateau building in very attractive spacious grounds.
Spa and swimming pool.
On site parking.
Restaurant with excellent food.
Check out 12pm
Our room was rather small and we were disturbed by noise from upstairs - late at night and early morning - not so good.

The room in the main building was quite dated

This place was a complete surprise last minute visit on the way back to the UK. It is a lovely old chateau, slightly rustic and the rooms were fab. We really enjoyed the experience and were able to charge the car and bring the dogs. Super convenient.
It was a bit understaffed when we got there, so we went to an awesome restaurant (it is called Ril's) 10 mins drive in St. Omer, which was the best restaurant experience we have had in France.

Stayed here at the start of this holiday. This time we stayed 2 nights in the Pavilion. Room was large, with a walk in shower. Room had a private outdoor seating area. We had dinner in the restaurant. This was excellent but I suggest you book in advance as it is very popular. Breakfast was excellent, great scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as well as the usual continental offerings. Good coffee. Pool was open and was a lovely place to relax. Hotel bar/lounge was very nice and relaxing. Staff were very professional and helpful.

The location for us was perfect. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would come back. The breakfast was very good and we we had a lovely stay.
Nothing could be improved everything was perfect.

Lovely looking, sadly the original rooms have been halved to produce the hotel so felt pokey. Beautiful gardens and the pool was ok.
Rooms, as above, small. No food on a Sunday. Considering it’s a hotel and really tucked away, I think this is poor. I think there was some cold meat just in case you starved but as my wife is vegetarian this was little help. After a long drive to get to the hotel as a stop off for the UK ferry, we did not want to to go out again and fight with other guests over tables at the few open restaurants in St Omer. We eventually ate at a hotel in the centre of town- at least they had a Sunday chef! Perhaps if we had been there on a Saturday then this would likely have been very good report so just be warned, book ahead in St Omer on a Sunday.

It’s so pretty and quaint. Real authentic France
The service at dinner was a little slow this time

Comfortable, clean. A short taxi ride from the centre of St Omer, which was a great little town. Room was a little small, but good enough for our one night stay.

The entrance and grounds are exceptional. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and drinking in the bar. I look forward to my next visit!

Stunning building and grounds, comfy bed
We were not in the main building, the decor was dated, stained and peeling wallpaper, chairs not very comfortable, lots of noises coming from other rooms
5.0 / 10.0
The room was double aspect, tucked away on the ground floor with full length windows. This meant you couldn’t really open the windows to receive air as people could enter, especially as it was next to the car park which was constantly in use. By the other window was a floor chess board, again visited by most residents. This was disappointing especially since it was booked some time ago. It seemed like an old room left for late arrivals. We felt that we had been taken advantage of or that booking dot.com customers were allocated poor rooms especially when other residents said their rooms were okay.
Yes it was a superb old building, but that’s what it was ‘old’. The night before we had been to a similarly priced hotel which was quite superb, this place couldn’t even supply a meal on a Sunday.

Beautiful property with expansive grounds and it was truly dog friendly!! He was welcome everywhere. They even provided a nice bed and bowls in the room for our pup!
The rooms don’t have A/c and it was one of the hottest days of the year. The restaurant was closed as it was Sunday so that was inconvenient but the staff were helpful in finding us a place get food. And provided cutlery for us to have it in the terrace.

Nice cheese and meat board - did not book a meal as unsure on arrival time. Useful having the EV chargers. Staff very obliging.
Room a little small with a garden chess set outside the window, which people were playing until nearly midnight, then a group sat outside drinking and talking. The room was very hoy and so we needed to keep the window open as no air-con. Some of the furnishings and decor a little tired.

Big property- a weeding venue. Good gardens - full of wildlife - despite a small weeding taking place, the hotel was quiet and pleasant - a good average, on the expensive side
“Charme” rooms are small and in servants quarters crammed under roof. The music in reception (first impression) was way too load. Room lacked character
