A lovely night

This is a very elegant place to stay in the historic centre of St Omer

Unfortunately, parking in the vicinity isn’t easy to find, though we were lucky to get a place near to the hotel.

Tastefully decorated period boutique hotel, 5 min walk to the centre of St Omer

Lovely period property close to the centre of St Omer…very spacious, comfy bed & tastefully decorated. Stayed here before going back and forth to the UK…never disappoints ….dog friendly & great value.

No on site facilities, no staff at check in, we couldn’t get into the building! No bar only the limited tea coffee in the room, 1 instant coffee for the two of us

Fabulous time in beautiful hotel

Stunning property with many original features… a book is provided to explain the history of the building. The rooms are all individual and vary with facilities ie some have baths some do not. All have super showers! This year tea and coffee facilities were provided which we appreciated. Location is superb right in the centre next to the stunning cathedral. Thank you for a lovely stay we will return!

What a gem of a find this hotel was. Wonderfully restored 17thC building, stylishly decorated with period furnishing along with contemporary fittings.Our balcony looked directly over the inner courtyard and views out to the Cathedral. So pleased with the place we’ve already rebooked for Dec when we return to France.Dog friendly & a short walk to town.

There didn’t appear to be the complimentary coffee/tea on the 1st floor as advertised. Was availability in the room though.Just a little thing.

Wonderful historic stay

Fantastic location, short walk to all restaurants and bars. The building itself is amazing, so historic, and very charming. The room was the same, very beautiful. The bed was very comfy, and the bathroom was luxurious. Couldn't fault the comfort and wow factor.

Could have better coffee making options in the room. We ran out of toilet paper, with no extras left in the bathroom - so we had to take some from the ground floor bathroom. Worth noting that there is not often staff on duty throughout the day, so if you need anything urgently, it could be difficult to find assistance. Would be nice if drinking water was offered in the room, replenished every day of your stay.

Cathedral view

Location was fab and the hotel was very pretty lots of redeeming features, super comfy bed

There were no condiments to make a hot drink in room and it stated there were free tea / coffee on landing but there were not, not enough toiletries in room and our friends had a room that wasn't cleaned , it looked like they were not expecting us 😉 they had to get all bedding changed and bins emptied and clean towels, looks like the cleaner was literally cutting corners, our room no 1 was excellent but room number 2 wasn't so great sadly

Lovely historic building with comfortable rooms.

Loved the building itself and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. Very close to everything. The courtyard was lovely.

There weren’t any towels in one of our bedrooms and by the time I noticed, there wasn’t anyone on reception to ask. Luckily I’d booked two other rooms for my family & we managed. Also there was a bottle of water with cigarette butts on the balcony that hadn’t been removed. Just little attention to details.

A superb bijou hotel in the shadow of the cathedral. Lovingly recently restored over 6 years the bedrooms are comfortable, roomy and stylishly appointed.

Beautiful room opposite the cathedral

Beautiful room in a beautiful house in an excellent location in the cathedral close. Very comfortable bed. We didn’t have breakfast as we were leaving early.

Just small things: it lacks some of the essentials found in the most unpretentious French hotels - no glasses or bottled water (we were happy to drink tap water but there was nothing to drink from and the young man couldn’t or wouldn’t give us any from the breakfast room), no soap or gel dispenser in the shower and nowhere to put any toiletries, nothing to hang towels on etc.

A great location, comfortable room and a warm welcome

The bedroom was massive, as was the bed, and extremely comfortable. We had a warm welcome on our arrival and our hostess pointed out where the nearest restaurants were. The location could not have been better - opposite the cathedral and within walking distance of restaurants.

The building was simply beautiful and our room was amazing. Will visit again .

Leaving early for a ferry so did not have breakfast.

Communication could have been better. The establishment requested that guests phoned 15 mins before arrival. I phoned 3 times and got no reply. I also emailed through booking.com a few hours before arrival to advise about our arrival time but never received a reply. The details about parking were a bit vague whilst booking and we ended up parking in the town square. However Clos Du Bailli is very beautiful and it was a lovely place to stay.

A great place to stay, but I'd eat out for breakfast.

The location, ambience, furnishings, room size. A beautiful building in a superb setting by the cathedral.

We had issues with staff shortages leading to no breakfast, even though prepaid. The owner has responded promptly to reimburse us, so feeling better about the experience now than on Saturday morning.

A very interesting building beautifully restored in the heart of the historic town.

Perfect location right next to the cathedral but in a quiet square, no through traffic nor noisy crowds. The building is amazing. if you ever wondered what it was like living in an Upper Class home in 1760ad try this for the experience. The fancy plasterwork in the dining room could grace a museum but it is all new/restored.

Breakfast was a bit meagre. We have eaten better in a French Youth Hostel at half the price. We had been assured that there was secure parking available (our car was full of stuff incl. wine for UK.) but, in fact, there is no on-site parking, you just park in the public square outside the hotel. But it was free parking!

Fantastic quiet location. Very near the town centre. Fabulous views of the Cathedral. Lovely characterful room, immaculate with a very comfortable bed. Lots of hot water and super fluffy towels. Fresh continental breakfast. Friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful outside area.

Great location right by the cathedral. Beautiful old building lovingly restored. Enormous luxurious room with enormous exceptionally well appointed en suite. Great atmosphere.

Hidden gem

Location, we managed to get free parking directly outside the hotel. Room was beautiful with gorgeous roll top bath overlooking the cathedral. Bed super comfy and well decorated rooms.

There’s communal tea and coffee area, would be better to have a small kettle in rooms but that’s personal preference. Otherwise not a bad thing to say would stay again

Beautiful renovated cloister building with the feel of a chateau in a perfect location

Beautiful and superbly renovated building right in the middle of St-Omer with plenty of parking around. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely room at the top of the building in the attic. Stunningly decorated but probably a bit hazardous for anyone very tall on account of the numerous wooden beams! Elegant outdoor seating area available. Take your own wine!

It’s a shame there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and no mini bar or even a bottle of water. Not a big deal but it’s always welcome.
