A totally original establishment in the heart of a really lovely village. Really warm and welcoming. Amazing , quirky building. We were 3 couples in 3 different bedrooms, all original, spacious and decorated with taste and adherence to the theme of the suite. The crepes we had there for lunch were super. The staff were all incredibly efficient, smiling and helpful , despite being very busy at the peak of the ‘illumination’ season.

Simple breakfast but well balanced. Room were very comfortable in such an old building. Wifi working very well.

The hotel was in a historic building and had intesting architectural features. The room was large and was decorated in a Napoleon theme. It was very charming room and comfortable. They served a good continental breakfast. It was located in the centre of a very wonderful town.
The staircase would be a bit difficult for someone with mobility issues. The entrance was at the back of the building and not too charming.

Amazing inn above the “tavern” restaurant. Old world feel. Well appointment and spacious. Loved it!
The circular stairs are tight ( as expected in a building of this age). It didn’t bother me however the ribs would only be accessible to folks without mobility issues.

We enjoyed out stay at this hotel. The old building had bags of characterful charm, and we enjoyed our room - the Napoleon Suite, which was whimsical, very spacious and comfortable. The only down side to this room was the lack of a shower, although the large bath was suitable. Aside from the characterful interior of this property, one of the best things about the hotel is its location: right in the centre of beautiful Rochefort-en-Terre, with a view over the Place du Puits from the turret bathroom. This location afforded very close proximity to the restaurant where we had dinner - La Maison Cachée, which was superb. Breakfast at La Tour du Lion was good; overall, limited in options, but the croissants were excellent.

Lovely old building in the middle of the village. We had the Moulin Rouge room - decorated accordingly and very unusual.
Village is really beautiful - a must to visit.
Nice garden outside which you can use. Good breakfast.
Parking is some distance away in paying car park - this can be very busy. 200m walk to hotel.
Although bathroom was a good size there was only a free standing bath with a handheld shower attachment; anyone with mobility issues could not get in/out easily.
NB steep stairs to rooms
Garden is shared with restaurant users so not private.

Excellent location in a beautiful village. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
One has to take into consideration that the staircase to the rooms is very steep.

Oh my goodness, what a room. We felt like medieval royalty. As well as the room, which speaks for itself, we had our own entrance to the garden of the property and to the room without having to go through the hotel or restaurant. The location is also perfect: right on the main road through the village; everything was on our doorstep.
Wasn't such a big fan of the restaurant attached to the hotel, but there are plenty of other places to eat, though you'll need to book for the best ones as we found out the hard way!

It is an amazing place in an evenly beautiful village! The rooms are exceptionally decorated with very original touches! Outside space of terrace and garden are exceptional little havens! Staff were kind, attentive!
Our room Napoleon, although exceptionally big and beautiful has the bath in the room; also this room is on the second floor with steep staircases and was not ideal with the dog!

Nice garden, good food and a nice breakfast
The customer service for the hotel. The property is basically a restaurant with a few rooms. The whole focus is on the restaurant. We had a major problem on arrival, because of road closures and we didn’t know how to find the recommended car park. The hotel refused to help us because they were too busy with the restaurant.

Our stay at La Tour du Lion in Rochefort-en-Terre was fantastic! The location is perfect for exploring the village, and the hosts were incredibly friendly, making us feel truly welcome. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious, adding to an already memorable experience. Highly recommended for a charming and authentic stay!

This is a lovely hotel with great staff and really lovely food.
It is situated right in the middle of Rochefort so bags are dropped and then the car is parked further away. Not an issue at all though
There was nothing we didn’t like.
The stairs are steep and wind up so heavy bags are tricky.
The plumbing reflects the age of the building. But it all works everything is very clean and the staff lovely

We loved everything. The rooms were incredible. Dinner in the courtyard was wonderful. The staff was beyond kind and very helpful. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
Literally nothing. We loved everything.

A beautiful old building with much character central on the village square.
The sink in our bathroom was partially blocked meaning that the water took some time to run away. A problem easily fixed.

Stayed for one night in this delightful 'beau village' which remarkable for its old buildings including chateau and cobbled streets. The hotel is in the centre and parking is at either end. We were able to drop off and park at one end but I am not sure of the usual arrangements. We had the splendid and quirky suite(Louis XV) at the front of the building with loo in attached octagonal tower(sic). The staircase access is steep and windy.
The restaurant below provided either a Breton menu or a formule and what we had was good.
Walking around the village in the morning sunshine was very special.
Access is a steep staircase.
The village is quite touristy and I expect busy in high season.

Old world, authentic yet quirky and cool! Staff were friendly, breakfast was very good, everything one needed. We stayed for one night and had both lunch and dinner out in the back garden, both meals were lovely. Welcome drink was a nice touch! Garden is terraced which adds to the beautiful setting but not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Stairs also to room could prove difficult. Lovely bath in bathroom. Both bedroom and bathroom were big size. A truly fabulous place to stay! Thank you

While we liked the hotel overall, we didn't like that it was so connected to the restaurant. I felt like the restaurant was management's focus and not helping the clients check in quickly. Our room was spacious and the bath large but claw foot tubs are not easy to get in or out or to wash hair. Our traveling companions got the much better room on the "ground" floor just behind the restaurant. Yes, they are older and much less able to get around so it worked better for them. Breakfast was nice. We happen to be there on a Wednesday and everything was either closed or closing soon and it was only 400pm, so not much to do and no other restaurants were open that day. We heard this was a great village but honestly there are nicer in the Brittany area.

A lovely village with this hotel right in the middle. Very lively and busy with locals and tourists alike. Food was good both for lunch and diner. Staff were friendly..
No shower in the bathroom. Parking was a bit of a walk with charges. No lift and very steep stairs.

Fantastic old building. Lovely room and a beautiful town to explore. Good atmosphere. Very good breakfast.
We were offered outside eating which was lovely but seemed to mean we were offered only the creperie menu. Might have been our fault as we were late arriving.
