APPART HÔTEL MON CALME

In a great location, really clean, very quiet and everything you need for a great stay. Also loved the dedicated parking space, really nice pool and really friendly staff (especially the cleaning lady).

You have to do your own cleaning but we didn’t mind that.

Clean spacious well-equipped apartment with good outdoor space in a pleasant residential area of the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Use of adjoining campsite swimming pool. Pool is a decent size and there is a bar and pizza/snack restaurant nearby with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Pool was beautifully quiet at times (but did get busy sometimes). Easy parking in your own numbered spot. Lovely coastline and a pleasant town with a lively street market some days.

A staircase that for older/less able people is steep and challenging especially since bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is downstairs. Rules forbidding jumping/diving in the pool were not enforced meaning at busy times it could be hassling. (Overall still a good pool as there were plenty of quiet times.) Notices in the apartment about cleaning felt a bit grumpy and demanding. ( NB in practice there was no problem about cleaning: a reduced list of tasks was sent by e-mail on the eve of departure and the lady checking the limited cleaning that was needed was helpful and lovely. In our experience there is no need to be put off by the cleaning requirement.) Walking distance to town was longer than we expected, more like 18/20 minutes than the 5 mins stated somewhere. There is no ordinary oven, just a microwave one. This sounds a long list of negatives but NB this is overall a very good and pleasant apartment (if you can manage stairs) and we enjoyed our stay.
