Not what I expected
There is no restaurant (the signage looks recently removed) although the breakfast was good. The staff is nice and tries to be helpful. Evening breeze off the shore helped cool the room down in the evening, but I recommend bringing a fan if you visit in hot months.
Disappointed to find there is no kettle for tea or coffee in the room, and nowhere to eat in easy walking distance. They don't attend to the room every day so don't expect the bed to be made up.

Superb
This was our third stay here and it did not disappoint. Lovely location right opposite the beach and a comfortable room. We had the best meal of our holiday in the hotel restaurant. Really wonderful food and lovely ambience. A very pleasant stay and very reasonably priced.

Old style hotel right at the seafront. The staff is very welcoming. Really good breakfast. Peaceful, relaxing stay.
Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was quite old(-fashioned), despite being really clean. But it was okay for one night.

Damgan is a great place to stay, sad that the Albatross is no longer open for lunch.
We greatly enjoyed our evening meal.
The bedroom was a bit scruffy - could have done with a makeover. It was also smaller than we had hoped for.
