Decent stopover hotel for a good night sleep

Room was just enough... bed was good, comfortable and convenient.

The breakfast is almost nothing. Hardly any choice or quantity. But I think that's probably because of low occupancy.

It was reasonably cheap.

The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. It wasn't very clean. All towels smelled of food, even though they looked clean. The coffee dispenser in the hallway was empty. Altogether not a pleasant experience.

Unwelcoming receptionist, exterior of hotel needs sprucing up, but ok to crash out for the night

Room was small but adequate with enough storage space. Ensuite bathroom and toilet were clean. Good choice of (continental) breakfast, with good coffee. Female staff in the morning were pleasant and welcoming.

Location in a rather grotty and unkempt area of Forbach adjacent to the motorway (so some motoway noise) was not easy to find because my (updated) GPS didn't find the "house" number advertised. Male on duty at reception in the evening didn't have the right attitude for a front-of-house customer-facing role. Mumbled his (French) words though he knew he was speaking to a foreigner, told me the bare minimum (e.g. no hints about where to eat locally). The building needs sprucing up on the outside - the cladding needs to be cleaned: first impressions are important.

Only used the room to sleep overnight. The room and building was located in a very quiet area. Access to hotel and room was easy.

Reception was not open when we arrived. Snack dispenser needed repair. TV program could have had at least one english speaking program, e.g. CNN.

For my purpose, the location was good, I just needed to sleep in that area. There is a grocery and sports shop in a walking distance. Breakfast was good. It was quiet and I slept well.

There was no one available until 5pm, the confirmation number I had wouldn't open the door so I had to kill time in the cold (I ended up visiting the sports store). No restaurants in the area. The room is small, no desk.

Very good location, easy to get there from motorway, friendly staff and clean. The staff must learn to speak english, not just german and french. The rest is OK.

Manque étagères et patères murales notamment dans la sdb où les serviettes tombent à terre. Rideau de douche en plastique peu hygiénique.
