Room was ideal for a single person and I was upgraded to a balcony seaview room 😁 The bed was comfy and I slept well The breakfast was lovely …perfectly cooked Handy having a bus stop outside with regular buses to take you right down the Prom

Great service, great price.

Great service. I asked for a different room and this was sorted straight away and with no extra charges. Lovely breakfast - cereal, full English and big pot of coffee. Room was clean. Seafront location.

The first room (on the prom with a sea-view) was too noisy for me. The single-glazed sash windows may as well not be there at all in terms of noise reduction and the mattress was well past the end of its useful life. The second room was way better - nice and quiet with a decent mattress.

Location is perfect on the sea front, I had a view of the sea from my room. The full English breakfast was a good start to the day.

Great place for adventurous travellers

This place is great. There are some complaints in the reviews about things such as the stairs. If you are in good condition, this shouldn’t be a problem though. If you aren’t, maybe reconsider as there is no elevator. This place is not the fanciest, but it blends perfectly in with the Manx experience in my opinion. Sure, the decoration is a bit dated, but that makes perfect sense after a day travelling by steam train. For that matter, the WIFI signal wasn’t always that strong in my room (but it was fine in the lobby), but it would have been even better if there had been no WIFI. As I said, not the most fancy place I ever stayed, but considering the money it’s a great option if you are on a budget.

Water dripping outside my window onto a tarpaulin which made sleeping impossible. No Wi-Fi but advertised as having it - only in reception area and corridor occasionally in the bedroom during the night. Son had no kettle in his room

Good location

Could not read in bed because the reading light had been removed. Overhead light too dull to read by. Smell was unpleasant. Fake deodorant smell in room and stairwells. Only one medium sized towel provided.

WiFi is only available in the lounge Even that is very slow with drop outs The owner didn’t like me discussing the wifi with a couple on the next table. She came out and verbally attacked me for not being happy with the WiFi at one point telling me to leave and not come back!!! On checkout day I ordered my usual eggs on toast. The waiter then brings me a full English. When I told him I was vegetarian he said sorry and smiled and that was it. There was no offer to swap it for what I had ordered, and had been ordering all week. So I left without breakfast.

Old and basic but the room was clean. No lift so had to walk up and down loads of steep old stairs. The shared toilet is a really long walk away to the end of the corridor and the shared bathroom is even further away on the floor below, where the water doesn't get very hot in the electric shower. No instructions for shower operation.

Great Located hotel

Location

We booked two rooms with shared bathroom. However rooms were on separate floors and batch room was shared with the entire floor. One of the rooms was very small. I did pay an extra £20 per night and moved to a double room with en-suite and sea view. WIFI was very poor or non existent in the middle room . English Breakfast was very limited but was referred to as a Full English.

our flight was cancelled so found wht we thought would be an okay B&B. if u pay £50 get £50 quids worth of quality.

location was the only thing that was sort of okay.

dilapidated building, rude staff, No Signal, broken toilet seat, one piece of soap for toiletries. mould in the bathroom no wardrobe or shelving. found staff cooking Chinese/thai food on a gas cooker in there staff accomodation on the 6th floor. no security during the night. very tight corridors which looked a real fire hazard. very load noise from 0630. no yea just coffee. the list could be very long. no breakfast in the morning. lift not working left at 0700.

Isle of man

This Hotel is a friendly family run operation and there room charges are very keenly priced, it is old victorian style Property( amazing dinningroom) located on the promenade with fine views of the bay area . Bus service runs outside which will bring you to main bus terminal and ferry port. also a good location if you going to use the elecrtic tram to Ramsey. Would suit clients that are on a budget, or just want good value.In a very nice location.

breakfast was amazing,nice chatty ladies who served us. this is the second time ive stopped.

I didnt get fresh towels in my room but as i was only staying for 3 nights it didnt bother me. My mates room says his tv didnt work and the lights wouldnt turn on. But again it didnt bother him. The lift would of been handy as i was on the top floor.those stairs were a battle. Coming back on a night out,there was kids outside the hotel and you could see them watching as you put the code in the door to get in.i thought that looks abit dodgey.

Exceptional

As someone familiar with the hotel i've been just glad to return & be welcomed by the friendly staff. This time i had a splendid single room facing the promenade with a balcony from where i could admire among others the horse tram once again in operation ;) Superb breakfast as always, comfortable rooms i can't ask for more.

I would not advise a female solo traveller to come to this hotel.

I didn’t want a full English breakfast but was ridiculed for asking for an alternative of poached eggs. However, I was reluctantly given them and they were actually nice.

Staff member very rude, shower cold but I was told I shouldn’t shower late (8.15 pm). on 3rd day proprietors were arrested and I felt I had to leave the next day and seek another accommodation. I lost 4 days of my money but my concern was more important.
