A stunning place to rest and recharge

Well what a wonderful experience!! Every detail was well thought out. We had a very warm welcome from Julie and Hugh the owners, nothing was too much trouble, you only have to ask. We were given lots of information about places to visit and restaurants to try, we enjoyed our cooked breakfast every morning and the Buck’s Fizz went down like a dream too 😍We stayed in the Queens suite, which was stunning, from the very comfy bed and full package tv, to the beautiful slipper bath and soft fluffy white towels etc. You will be treated to a very atmospheric stay whichever room you choose. Please don’t book if you’re expecting ultra modern as this is not what you’re going to get and thank goodness for that. We definitely recommend a stay and will hopefully get back again xx

Brilliant venue.

We loved the room, and the building itself looks incredible. We found the hosts to be very friendly and helpful without bieng overbearing. It had the wow factor we was hoping for.

Difficult to find problems with what was a fantastic stay in a fantastic place, if I had to pick on anything it would be the bath maybe is due an upgrade. But still a lot better than any hotel bath i have seen.

The perfect location for either a short break away from the drag or something much more special.

The whole location was past what we expected. The picture absolutely do not do it justice. Plenty of items in the room for our stay and the o clouded breakfast is more than enough to start your day.

I had hunted for the perfect location to propose to My partner and this was it every time you looked around there was something you hadn’t seen before. The couple running this location are also great always happy to have a chat and more then happy to find out how you are and what your up to so they can make suggestions.

An exceptional property: beautiful, comfortable and a delicious breakfast.

This is a gorgeous, period property located in the countryside outside Newark, Notts. The owners were a lovely couple, friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They even changed the television in our room so that we could access BBC channels. The breakfast was excellent and the room was beautifully appointed.

Not what I was expecting

The hosts were very attentive and tried hard to make it a good experience. The building itself was very attractive, especially from outside.

Not having a lock on our bedroom door. Not having a door to the bathroom. Not having a shower. Not being able to reach the bedside tables from the bed and not even having a box of kleenex! Also very thin curtains which hung well away from the windows. Was also disappointed that the only soft drink appeared to be orange juice, even at breakfast.

Space, luxury and a very relaxing stay.

This is an amazing house, you feel like you are stepping back in time. The rooms are beautiful, bed is super comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. A wonderful warm greeting with a bottle of Prosecco and every effort put into a relaxing stay.

Wonderful hosts with a beautiful property in a quiet hamlet. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, slightly gothic and eccentric, and the most amazing breakfast. The husband and wife hosts are charming and accommodating. We visited for a trade show and I would say that this is not a business hotel, but more somewhere to come for a romantic night or few days away.

A pet frustration of mine, no hanging hooks for towels in the bathroom, and no place to properly sit and work in the bedroom, but please read what I liked to do justice to the property.

Wonderful, whimsical stay.

What a wonderful spot! My sister enjoyed a night at Manor Court as a birthday treat. We'd spent the day at nearby Eden Hall and then enjoyed our evening in Manor Court. We got a warm welcome with some prosecco and were shown to our room. The room was great, very spacious and well decorated. So luxurious! Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice, we loved the table setting and all the serving implements. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!

The only thing to note about the suite is that there is no bathroom door. Fine for us, but might not work for others!

Lovely romantic getaway in the countryside

The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. Property is beautiful. Breakfast was superb in the morning.

I think in the morning it was a bit strange sharing a table with another couple. I didn't mind but my partner found it a bit uncomfortable. I think a lot of people would prefer it if the owners mentioned if someone else staying was having breakfast at the same time with it just being one table. We stayed in the King suite which was lovely but was looking a bit tired. The mirrors were dusty and there were quite a few cob webs.

Staying at the Manor Court was a lovely experience and will stand out in our memories.

The entire building is themed as a lovely gothic getaway. There are wonderful antiques to look at, from grotesques to swords to the furniture. The decor was stunning. Julie and Hugh were lovely hosts and always close at hand if we needed anything. Very welcoming. The breakfasts offered were varied and delicious for all tastes, from full hot breakfasts to fruit and cereal to freshly baked croissants to delicious little yogurt parfaits. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect place for a special treat

The King chamber room was amazing. Booked for husbands 60th a real treat. Gold rolltop bath in the middle of the room was an indulgence! King size bed extremely comfortable and the bed sheets are high end. Lovingly and interestingly decorated, kept spotting new things all evening Lots of lovely touches, prosecco on arrival, bathrobes, chess board and cards. Lots of choice at breakfast even though husband is pescatarian and I am veggie. Jules and Hugh are amazing hosts

Gothic heaven and luxury stay

Such an awesome place, a gothic dream. As soon as you arrive to a warm welcome from the owners, with glass of prosecco in hand to be blown away by the whole place. We stayed in the kings suite and wasn't disappointed. Wow is all I can say. Candle lit breakfast finished off our stay. We will be back

Truly EXCELLENT HOSTS and VENUE!!! We were greeted with a very warm welcome and some warm mulled wine by our very friendly hosts. Manor Court was wonderfully gothic, we loved the quirkiness of it all. The room had a a gorgeous roll top bath and a comfy enormous bed. Breakfast was scrumptious and topped off with a Bucks fizz, which both set us up for the day. Would most definitely RECOMMEND Manor Court and love to make a repeat visit in the future x

Luxurious treat to escape away from it all!!

Staying here was a unique experience and a special treat. Our hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived with a delicious Pimms in the garden. We stayed in the 'cream' decorated room and it was even better than the photos. Very comfortable and luxurious. We got a lot of tips from our lovely hosts on places in the area. Very comfortable bed!!

Couldn't fault the accommodation or the welcome. But note that it is located down a long lane with no local facilities such as pubs or shops.

Simply outstanding. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, with a jug of Pimms waiting for us as a nice surprise. Genuinely lovely owners who have created something quite incredible: it's a true labour of love. Beautiful room, beautiful location. Breakfast was the best we've had and well above anything we've enjoyed in any 5* London hotel. Great food, brilliant presentation; we just felt bad we couldn't eat it all! We'll go back again, and if you're looking, just go ahead and book. You won't be disappointed.

Purely from a usability perspective, a hook to hang my bathrobe on whilst I enjoyed the roll-top bath would have been good, but that is being seriously picky. There's nothing to not like! This place is top drawer.
