Greatly disappointed considering price !

Only the location !

The room was on the first floor with no lift access I had a suitcase and 2 carryons . No help available and I’m over 70 which had not been specified on line . The room was dirty . Sheet and duvet were stained . Entire room needed a paint job! No soap or tissues in dispensers either in Shower or sink . Electric outlets didn’t work in spite of having connectors and adaptors . Bathroom unheated but bed room was hot . No way to control temperature . Walls were paper thin and people kept banging on doors till 4 am to let them in .

The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly..I’m actually a regular, that’s definitely a my go place, when I want to be away from home, to get some rest without the kids..

The property has a quirky charm, good size rooms, a very peaceful location and I’ve stayed here about ten times so far & I would highly recommend this place. The staff are really nice and friendly

My stay gave me a feeling of belonging, of acceptance and a caring aspect, too.

The main thing is hospitality, flexibility and open-mindedness- excellent qualities needed in my case.

The location was perfect for our needs ,we were a family of 3 , bedding was clean & smelt fresh nice size tv in the room with kettle, tea & coffee . Wasn’t expecting it to be as quiet as it was . For a an overnight stay & the price it was good.

Great location and staff were fab, just the shower was the only down fall

Location, close to shops and cafes. Buses to city centre are very frequent, staff were lovely and informative with where to eat and what to do whilst we were there.

The heating system wasn’t great and we could feel a draft from the window, which is to be expected as the building is on the older side. Also the water for the shower was very unpredictable as it would either be boiling hot or freezing cold.

I don't understand how has any stars, dirty, mold everywhere, the smallest room I've ever seen. I couldn't stay so I left after 10 minutes, the pictures are not representing what I saw. The area and the "ambient" in the hotel are not of a family hotel...

Avoid at all costs

Location is great as only 2 mins drive from town centre, staff are friendly so felt absolutely awful and couldn't have it in me to complain 😩

The room was absolutely diabolical We walked in all we could smell was damp and bleach! The carpets were soaking wet and damp all over, the tiles in the bathroom were all broken and mouldy and filthy with mould causing the grout to crumble and leave a damp stench everywhere, the windows were covered on black mould and taped with brown tape at the top and the bed sheets had what looked to be brown poo stains so we couldn't even sleep under the blanket! The room was freezing cold and the shower couldn't keep to 1 temperature at all And the light above the bed flickered so couldn't be used, carpet was falling apart, the stench on damp was seriously bad and need attention immediately We unfortunately had no other choice but to stay as my partner the only drive had been drinking and couldn't drive us home and we didn't have the funds to pay out for another hotel, next morning and we are both struggling severely with our chests as the mould and damp has gotten to us we did end up debating on sleeping in our car but it's like a little go cart it just wasn't going to happen LOTS MORE PHOTO'S BUT IT'S ONLY ALLOWING ME TO UPLOAD 4 ;

Good at all

Cheap but not cheerful

Truthfully, not a lot. The staff were friendly but that's it

I know I was there for a work course, so i didn't want to pay too much. The room was small, as I expected but It was dirty, which i didn't expect. The quilt wasn't in it's cover properly so I had to redo it and found stains on the quilt. The mattress protector was ripped. I basically had to remake the bed. The bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. Cracked sink, and when i ran the tap to cold it was hot and i had turned the tap to the blue side, Broken tiles on the bathroom floor. Filth in the corner outside of the shower. The window in the bedroom was cracked. There were rips in the curtains. I appreciate it is an old building but no secondary glazing. The draft from the windows even with the curtains closed, was too much. I used the blanket and towel to block the draft. As a solo female traveller, I didn't feel particularly safe when I went out for food. I also dropped something on the floor and it rolled under the bed. So I looked under the bed and saw what looked like an old cocktail sausage, complete with mould.

Was surprised to find, after I booked and paid that parking was extra. (£10 per day) Too many electrics in room not working: light over bed, light over sink. The light in the shower did not turn off. The WiFi was very poor on this part of the hotel.

Would only use for 1 night

Comfortable Bed, cheap price at £39.

Having to pay an extra £10 to park our car. Very noisy residents who woke us at 6am and continued with loud voices until we left at 8am. The Double Bed when moved to retrieve our mobile phone charger found that the carpet to the wall side to the bed hadn’t been cleaned, ever by the looks of it. The Toilet and the Shower were covered by a curtain, and the sink hole in the wash basin was black.

Bed bugs

bed bugs my daughter was bitten very badly which left her needing 2 days off work and having to leave the hotel at 2 am. She showed staff member the live bugs which could be seen crawling. Full refund given but my daughter was very ill and looked like she had chicken pox it was extremely painful and left her feeling terrible.. she has had to throw her bag and all it's contents away

Disappointing

Hotel room was very worn, carpet threads hanging out, windows dirty, floor tiles in bathroom cracked and sharp, cut my foot on one in the night, electric shower would go from thermonuclear to arctic cold randomly, and to top it off after 2 nights being there Iv been bitten 5 times by somthing. Overall not great and I wouldn’t stay again.
