I loved the quietness, the peace and intimacy of this small family run accomodation. The view is spectacular, surrounding restaurants and cafe accessible, a walk into town, but away from the street noise. The hosts Maya and Swem are also very sweet and accommodating. I extended my stay for one more week.

loved the view, the cosy ‘street village, on the hill, the ricefields and our wooden cottage with a lovely terrace.
it was all good

The accommodation is absolutely beautiful! I would recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because my boyfriend got sick and we needed air conditioning. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. The staff is incredibly kind and very helpful. Our bags were even picked up, since it’s a bit of a walk from the taxi drop-off point. The owner, Swem, gives lots of great tips upon arrival for your stay in Ubud and can also arrange a scooter if you’re interested. The view from the veranda and the pool is breathtaking. The location is central but just outside the busy area. There are plenty of restaurants and cozy spots within walking distance. Also, there are many different options for breakfast with amazing fresh fruit.
Maya and Swem are super welcoming, and we felt very much at home.
Good to know there’s no AC, but it cools down in the evenings, so it’s totally fine. Such a shame we had to leave early — I would’ve loved to stay here longer!

The location is absolutely breathtaking, and the house itself is very cute and cozy. With only a few houses around, the environment feels wonderfully peaceful. The accommodation is in a very quiet area, yet only a short distance from Ubud’s city center, so you can enjoy the beauty of nature while still having easy access to everything the city offers.
On the same road, there are several excellent restaurants and cafés, which made dining out super convenient. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we had some of the best rest during our stay.
Most importantly, the staff was incredibly caring and helpful. They provided us with great recommendations on where to eat and really went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a balance of peace, nature, and easy access to Ubud
The bathroom could be improved with a shower curtain and towel hangers.

Quiet off the main road, lush views, friendly staff
No complaints, fan was ok in August, not sure what it would be like in January

Location is amazing! In the middle of the city but so calm and peaceful. Walking down and you are in Ubud. Comfortable beds, bathroom, good breakfast. Staff is friendly and truly welcoming! Pool is handy to have to relax after the chaotic city. Maya, the owner, helped me big time.
Having a small fridge in the room or in a common area would be a great idea

The view was great, the room and bed was comfortable and accommodating.
The staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming.
They helped us with the luggage and were the nicest and genuine!
The room was clean and in good conditions.
The higiene products smelled very good and were good quality.
Breakfast was great with variety of choices, tea/coffee, smoothies, fruits, omelettes, pancakes, crepes, and others choices!
The location was in the centre of everything you need in the city! On the small street of the retreat you have many activities and 2min from the place you can rent a motorcycle for under 5£ a day!
Nothing that we did not like

Sunset view on the tropical forest and pool was amazing. Room big and confortable. Staff very kind and ready to help us at any situation. Wonderfull open air bathroom.
In the center of forest, unfortunately you can not reach by car but the staff help you for luggage.
Buldings are a bit ruined and some insects found in the room.

Location so great. Close to nature walks, surrounded by nature yet also easy to walk into main part of Ubud. Very quiet and peaceful. Private. Safe.

This was my second stay at Prashanti and I love everything- the location, the friendly staff, the addition of the pool, the beautiful view, vegan breakfast
Nothing!

The location is just mindblowing. I wanted nature and I got exactly that. from the lush jungle and all the glorious sound harmonics of birds, gekos and other life in the dense foliage, to the surrounding magnificence of rice fields, I felt like I was on planet earth fully connected to all its divinity. I loved the accessibility to central Ubud and the great little massage parlour down the road, I loved the beautiful room furniture and the amazing little porch, I loved the gentle kind and heartwarming ladies working on site, the delicious Nyepi food cooked with so much variety and attention.
This place could be 10/10 with some very simple adjustments. Here are my gentle recommendations to the owners:
1. Remove the stones from the shower, they are old and mouldy and unhygienic and really painful on the feet.
2. I love being in the jungle and I dont mind not having a/c. Im aslo not afraid of any bugs or flying things or crawlers, but, I do like to sleep without them in my bed. Please add some netting to the lip around the ceiling so these little creatures stay safe from being crushed by me in bed. Would also make for a much better sleep for me!
3. The mattress....oy oy oy... its really impossible to sleep comfortably, please invest in a newer one. Then I will come again
4. Breakfast is difficult. I think if you are targetting adventurous souls with the rustic vibe, its important to know that such souls do not like to eat sugar and carbs (rice with palm sugar and shredded sweet coconut, pancakes with palm sugar stuffing) especially for breakfast. Local delights are fun to try but for a place like this one, at that price tag, we need to agree that this is not a homestay and breakfast should reflect that. A nice smoothie or some creativity with the breakfast will go a long way. Ubud offers and abundance of inspiration you can draw from.
5. A fridge in the room would be great.
6. Towels could benefit from some fabric softener, the smell was strong and mouldy.
7. I love how nature takes over, however there are literally 2 mushrooms growing in the room wall. Quite large ones!

The area, the forrest, Nature sounds, beautiful rooms
There is, of course because of the forrest, a lot of bugs. I also Think it is irritating that you can only pay with cash. It was difficult and expensive for me to go to the city and withdraw that much money, because I had ti withdraw 4 times and thereby pay 4 bank-fees. I think it would be nice, ir you could pay with card.

My stay at Prashanti was amazing, exactly the experience I wanted to have in Ubud, a room with a jungle view and an infinity pool. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, a credit to Elo and Swem that made my stay easy.
The location is perfect to reach the center, the Ubud Palace is only 8 min walking, many shops & stores are around.
A special note for the girls, the property is on a street non reachable with car only motorbike or by feet so no way to wear the heels if you think to go walking to the main street

Location, jungle view, balinese lady who was very nice and helpful
Rooms are very old, need makeover. Spider nets are everywhere. Under bed is very dusty. No AC, if you keep balcony open all bugs come inside, there is no protective net. Bedsheets have many stains, i was told it came like this after laundry. I have read comment about stains from 2019, I thought it will not happen now, but it did.
Property cant be accessed by car. Prepare to walk and even climb. I asked owner to help with my bags (to bring them down to main road by scooter) but i was refused cuz he didnt want to help referring that check out is already passed and balinese lady already went home (it’s obviously his right but im a small girl who really needed some help. I didnt even have cash to give to anyone to help me). So it was pretty much challenging exercising to walk down the hill.
If you book room with a valley view please be prepared. The owner lives right above the room and house is made of wood, so you can hear walking, talking etc. Some people dont notice but as for me im a very light sleeper. But price is ok for such a guest house.

Prashanti is an oasis in Ubud. we lived here for 2 weeks and for a few days we didn’t even leave the „village“ of the rice fields. there is even a yoga house right in front, and we took long walks up the rice fields and then turning left and coming back south through the jungle. the balcony of our little house had a view to the jungle in The Valley in front which was so dreamy and private. you can see birds, lizards, frogs and gekos everywhere (been there in late February). we also loved how spacious the cabin was, the pool towards The Valley. also very relevant: there was water to refill the bottles ✨
I had lots of people from the accommodation talking to me by WhatsApp which was a bit overwhelming, also the breakfast was very simple and could have been more options. otherwise nothing to add: really spectacular.

The personnel at Prashanti is amazing, even though I arrived rather late at the venue due to airport delays, the host Swem welcomed me very kindly and unbothered. The location is sublime and price quality well worth it. I stayed for 10 days but also good for longer stay. I would definitely come back again.

amazing views and helpful staff, although one very helpful member of staff doing everything is not enough, felt bad for Llou who was excellent.
unfortunately not clean, damp, tired, run down, no kettle or anywhere to sit in the room. Under appointed for the money compared to other places to stay in Ubud. The yoga deck was being used for storage for building materials. Not what we needed it for.

The hospitality and beauty of this place is truly the essence of Bali. The peaceful nights surrounded by nature in a corner of Ubud that is away from the crowded center but easily accessible. lots of walks to be had and great interaction with the host Swem a generous and warm man who gave us such a good time and his assistant Iluh who keeps the place in order. Thank you!

Breakfast simple but ok, very good close by restaurant if wanted more. Very friendly staff. Best view ever.
Rooms rustic but with a real tropical/jungle treehouse vibe.
Definitely recommend organising transport through site staff as difficult to find at first if taxi driver doesn’t know the area.
No aircon but we knew this when booking, fan provided.
Dark walk back to hotel if coming back late.

I would highly recommend Prashanti Bali! Located in rice fields with great view of jungle valley, 10 mins walk from hustle and bustle of main street makes all the difference! A number of restaurants, massage and yoga studios nearby on the small path. Staff is super friendly and helpful, great value. Delicious breakfast can be served on room balcony or in restaurant area.
Need to share the small path with motorbikes, but that is way of life in Ubud.

Great location away from the bustle but still close enough. down a beautiful pathway restaurant a and massage places. It overlooks a beautiful forest and the view is gorgeous and peaceful. Charming and warm service. It felt very comfortable to hang out there.
No aircon in the room and a mosquito net in the way of the fans air means that it can get warm. Slightly disorganised and a bit run down but quite charming and relaxed.

The jungle element was amazing.. right in the heart of it. Its off the beaten path but scooters can get to it no problem/you can walk really easily but maybe not so great to walk in the dark.
We expected yoga classes to be on offer from the description. Expected a better breakfast. We just went out to Lazy Cats instead which is gorgeous but pricey. The rooms, sheets & towels were not very clean and everything felt damp but maybe that's difficult to avoid in the jungle 😅

Prashanti was paradise. It’s in Ubud central, but somehow a world away from the noise and busyness of the town. Hidden away in the rice paddy’s, it’s really lovely.
Lovely and private housing.
The eggs on toast with a fruit salad were lovely.
Some more vegetables with the breakfast would’ve been welcome.
Prashanti went out of their way to help me out despite my late arrival, and then being unable to find the entrance. Really appreciate the kind effort.

Only ten minutes on foot from the busy streets of Ubud this peaceful hideaway amongst the rice fields is like the old Ubud, beautiful, green and full of the sound of flowing water and birdsong. There are lovely walks and good cafes and massage places right outside the gate.
There was building work going on, they started late morning and of course made rusual noises. Not a big deal.

O a piedi o in motorino.
