Fantastic stau

Slightly long work (20-30 minutes) from Ubud centre and not accessible by car. However really easy to get a Grab Bike each and the team at Cahaya pick you and your luggage up on motorbikes on arrival and drop you back off on check out so not a big deal at all.

Stunning location and wonderful staff

Loved Everything! Stunning views over rice fields make this place really special. The staff are ultra-friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout the stay. Delicious choices of breakfast. Kadek assisted with accommodating our changing plans when we missed a flight connection. As well as booking tours, airport transfers. Peaceful location, yet only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Ubud. Look forward to staying again one day.

Highly recommend

I highly recommend if you want a peaceful, quiet stay. There is beauty all around the villa. The staff is super accommodating and fun. It is a little piece of heaven in the middle of ubud. It is about 1.5 km off the main road. Only scooters can drive up and it's a very narrow path, but doable.

It is inconvenient to go into town and come back. It helped me to stay at the Villa more then I would have otherwise. A blessing and a curse 😊

Lovely location set in natural surroundings of the rice fields. Pool was great and breakfast was tasty. You will need to be able to walk well or hire a scooter to reach hotel. Grab and Gojek are also available.

There are two vents in the bathroom and whilst the bathroom is mostly enclosed I felt that a lot of mosquitoes were able to enter through the vents. It’s a very simple thing to rectify, but you will need to remind the staff every day to close the bathroom door after cleaning. There is a mosquito net so if the bathroom door stays closed you’ll have no problem.

This was our 2nd time at Cahaya. The views from the villa are beautiful, the room is cleaned every day which is amazing and the staff are so kind & generous. The breakfast included is great and sets you up for the day perfectly!

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was perfect for our trip. It's not super flashy or luxurious but it's perfect for a relaxing trip to Ubud to disconnect and unwind.

A beautiful little property located in the rice fields a short distance to the main streets of Ubud.

I love the location. The staff will pick you up on their scooters from where the car drops you off on the road. There are several beautiful cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Located in the rice fields away from the traffic and noise. My villa was surrounded by fire flies (lightning bugs) each night of my stay. It really is a very nice little property and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful surrounded by nature!

Wow, the property is amazing! In the middle of rice fields, so beautiful. I love all the nature around. You are not far from ubud central but it’s perfectly tucked away in an amazing location. Room is bit, clean and has everything you need. Breakfast was so tasty. The staff are very helpful and kind.

Exceeded expectations for 3 travellers

If you want comfort, beautiful views, cleanliness, talented chefs to fix you up with delicious brekky, Balinese coffee, massage on the rooftop, with serene surroundings, I highly recommend this place. As 3 females exploring Ubud, first time in Bali, this place set the bar so high for us for our Bali travels. We are still dreaming about this place and would highly recommend this place.

Housekeeping was quite chill, make note to remind them to change the towels, and include sweeping if that's what you prefer. We did make this request ad hoc and they happily helped out.

Breathtaking location, villa in the rice fields.

Without knowing it, we booked this villa which was in the middle of the rice fields but still very close to the center of Ubud (you need some peace after the chaos of the Main Street, trust me). The road to get there can only be driven by scooter which makes the road very special and romantic. There’s lots of cute restaurants and bars on the way, and from the villa you can also take a long walk through beautiful rice fields and beautiful scenery. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing with lots of options. Rooms are big with all the needed equipment. We also had a fully functioning outside kitchen, which is great bonus if you have to warm up your Indian leftovers 😅 We loved it! Super recommended.

Small thing, the Wifi signal and speed could be better. And the possibility to fill up water would be nice (less plastic bottles).

Loved it.

The location was great. Close enough to walk to the centre of Ubud but away from all the cars. The walk to the road was past a number of good cafes located in the rice terraces. The villas are also situated in the rice terraces. Breakfast was great and set you up for the day.

Some people maybe put off that a car can't reach the villa but there are plenty of motorbikes to take you the last 5mins.

Good experience staying in rice fields and enjoying the motorbike ride

Experience out of city life, no car noise, no pollution, no TV, no human noise, listening frog croak in the night and birds singing in the morning. You need to walk 15 min or take 5 min motor bike from your room to outside for food. Nice and freshly cooked healthy breakfast with fresh fruit or fresh fruit juice

Suggest to have chairs in the room instead outdoor. Some cloth hook in toilet or shelving would be ideal to place your toiletries

Perfect!

I could not recommend Cahaya Ubud Villa more! The most gorgeous and tranquil stay and only a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming & always on hand to help. Many mention the road to get there is difficult to navigate as it is not accessible by car. We had no issues at all as thanks to Dekno we requested the airport transfer service and he met us with our big suitcases and took them & us up to the property by bike, even very late at night! It made the whole process from the airport to check in so smooth and Dekno even arranged a car back to the airport for us when we requested it. The road that Cahaya Ubud Villa is down is also a lovely track surrounded by rice fields, small vendors and other accommodations and is a lovely stroll into the centre of ubud, taking about 15 minutes. Breakfast was SUPERB a great selection and very tasty served in the most gorgeous and relaxing lookout. The pool is stunning and we loved spending our mornings relaxing there. The rooms are comfortable and clean and we even spent an evening ordering food and watching the sunset from the balcony to round off our holiday. This was the highlight of our 3 weeks travelling and a true hidden Gem in Ubud.

Amazing stay, highlight of my trip!! The owners are wonderful, the villa is beautiful, the rice fields surroundings, the tasty breakfasts that are included with smoothies and fresh fruit, cleaning service, water bottle et paper toilet refills, super friendly staff, pool and restaurant area with a view and super comfortable. If you want to be somewhere calm and peaceful this is the place for you! They even have the laundry service if you need ($), which was really helpful. Keep in mind that it’s a 15 mins walk from the main road so we did grab scooter rides to get to our villa but the view is worth it. They came to pick up us up with our bags at arrival and when we left. The owners are present and always there to help you. Loved my experience, will be recommending my friends and family as well.

The location is stunning, villa was clean, comfortable, with a nice spacious bathtub. The views and serenity were unparalleled, and the walks to and from central Ubud were one of our favorite memories. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved feeding the Koi fish too.

Fantastic

The property is a little outside town and only accessible by foot or motorbike, the staff are great and will take you to main road for pickup and drop off upon check in and check out. The staff are great and cleaned the room every day and breakfast was amazing with a huge bowl of fruit and a choice of entree. At first we didn’t like the location because it wasn’t in the center but after the first day it became our favorite stay in Bali. The location was so beautiful and had a full kitchen

Wonderful and picturesque villa, which we chose for honeymoon . Ideal place for a couple. Calm villa around beautiful rice terraces. The owners are wonderful people . They woke up earlier to prepare breakfast for us when we had our wedding. Then they took us on the bike to a place where taxi was waiting for us. And decorated our room with flowers. It was really warm attitude to us. I Very tasty home breakfasts and fantastic smoothies ) I really recommend that place!

Peace within the rice fields and fireflies

We stayed for 4 nights - every night we slept with beautiful cricket and frog sounds, and every morning we had lovely breakfast on the 2nd floor of the restaurant surrounded by rice fields. The starlight and fireflies pathway on the way back after dining out was gorgeous. Cahaya has a petit but relaxing pool. The staffs are lovely and accommodating, along with Toby the dog. They were very kind to accommodate our late check-in and check-out (both 2am in the morning) which required them to take us out to the main street with their scooters.

I think Cahaya can have small hair dryer in each room - it's difficult to let your hair dry by itself due to humidity.

The position of the villa was great. You walk 15 min on a paved narrow path through the rice fields. No cars, only walking and by scooter. Green and peaceful everything around. Some small warungs from time to time. The villa and the compound look very nice. In the evening is full silence, you hear only the frogs and as bonus you may see fireflies on the rice fields. The staff was very helpful and discreet. Thank you for such a nice time!

We arrived late and they met us at the path to drive us and our luggage on a motorbike to the hotel. The breakfast and views were amazing.

Serene escape

Friendly and helpful staff gave the villa a very welcoming feel. Situated in rice fields it is a very serene place to relax!

Not a dislike but worth noting the location is on a walking/scooter path 1km or so from the main road of Ubud so if staying here be prepared to do some walking and/or scootering to the accommodation. The staff will gladly transport your bags and/or you from the road to your accommodation so it should no t be an issue!

Had a good and relaxing stay here! The rooms are nice and clean, comfy bed, good breakfast and people working there was really nice.

The pictures of the area should be updated, as there is quite a few buildings near by so the view is not like in the pictures, which I found a little dissapointing.

Really nice and spacious villa and staff were very warm and friendly. The breakfast was really good and filling. There is a bit of a narrow walk to the villa from Ubud centre and it gets quite dark at night. Would recommend hiring a scooter.

The best accomodation in Ubud! Amazing location, beautiful and clean rooms, very kind owners/staff

The location is absolutely amazing: in the middle of the ricefields, but just a 10 minute walk from Ubud centre. Along the road lots of cute cafes, yoga places and little stores. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and tidy (thanks to staff Made and Kadek that keep the rooms and property very clean!) The owners Made and Wayan are the most welcoming, kind and sweet people you will meet in Bali and are willing to help you with anything (transfer/scooter/overall tips on Bali). I stayed in different places, but I kept returning to Cahaya because it truly felt like home! I can recommend it to anyone!

Very nice rooms and beautiful views of the rice fields. The properties were amazing and were build with love. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Good place to escape busy Ubud city.
