Ayu Di Uma Villa

The loveliest stay I’ve had in Bali - and I’ve spent over five months here across many different places. Nyoman and Ayu are simply wonderful hosts. Nyoman met me on arrival, helped with my luggage and drove me to the place on his bike, and then even took me to my next apartment when I moved out. Ayu is warm, kind and always smiling - she made breakfast every single day and took every one of my preferences into account. Her cooking is genuinely restaurant-level - beautiful, delicious, flavourful, attentive to details! The room is spacious and beautifully kept. Cleaning is absolutely perfect, the bed linen is soft and fresh, and the towels are clean and smell lovely. The balcony has a gorgeous view and it’s the perfect spot for breakfast. The small things were all thought of too - soap, toiletries, furniture, everything you need was there and in great condition. One day Ayu noticed I had more clothes than hangers in the closet, and the next thing I knew there was a whole set of extra ones there - I never even had to mention it. That’s what I call attention to detail! The location is a real highlight. It sits right in the middle of the rice terraces, so it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, but you’re still within walking distance of Ubud centre, cute cafes and great local massage places. Best of both worlds. There’s also a very friendly dog nearby who became part of the experience. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, spotless and hosted by genuinely lovely people, this is it. Ich habe in dieser Unterkunft eine Zeit erlebt, die mich tief berührt hat. Von Anfang an habe ich mich willkommen gefühlt. Wer einen ruhigen, authentischen Ort sucht, sollte unbedingt hier buchen. Die Unterkunft ist makellos sauber, liebevoll und gut durchdacht eingerichtet und im Zimmer hat es mir an nichts gefehlt. Jeden Tag wurde der Raum mit großer Sorgfalt gereinigt und das Frühstück war das beste, das ich während meiner gesamten Reise bekommen habe – abwechslungsreich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet, immer begleitet von frischem Obst, einer erfrischenden Kokosnuss und kleinen balinesisches Köstlichkeiten. Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig in den Reisfeldern, direkt am Orange Trail – weit genug weg vom Trubel, aber nah genug am Zentrum. Kleine Restaurants, Massage-Studios und ein Supermarkt sind fußläufig erreichbar. Den letzten Weg von der Hauptstraße zur Villa legt man mit dem Motorbike zurück, das über Grab in null Komma nichts zu buchen ist, doch auch Nyoman ist jederzeit bereit, dich zu deinen Zielen zu fahren. Alle Wünsche werden so schnell und selbstverständlich erfüllt, dass man sich schnell zugehörig fühlt. Das ist nicht einfach nur eine Unterkunft. Während meines Aufenthalts bin ich einmal krank geworden und wurde mit so viel Hingabe verpflegt und umsorgt, dass ich schnell wieder auf die Beine gekommen bin. Ayu und Nyoman haben mir mit großer Herzlichkeit ihre spirituellen Traditionen nähergebracht. Ich durfte sogar an einer wichtigen Zeremonie teilnehmen – ein Geschenk, das ich niemals vergessen werde. Und auch ihre Tochter war immer daran interessiert, mit mir im Austausch zu sein. Unvergesslich waren auch die stillen Momente abends auf dem Balkon, dort den Naturgeräuschen zu lauschen oder morgens das Gesicht in die Sonne zu halten. Hier findest du einfach Ruhe, Komfort und echte Erholung. Die Zeit bei dieser Familie hat mir unheimlich gut getan.

Ein großes, helles Zimmer mit Balkon, alles so schön gemacht und so nah an Ubud Zentrum und doch so ruhig, so wunderschön! Die Gastgeber waren so herzlich und hilfsbereit, es war eine große Freude die Tage dort zu verbringen, absolut empfehlenswert und es gibt wirklich nichts zu bemängeln, nichts was besser hätte sein können als es war. . Herzlichen Dank, ich komme gerne wieder 🙏

The property is located in the middle of lush tropical greenery and rice paddies yet is just a 10 minute walk to the center of Ubud. Everything is easily accessible on foot, yet the property is in a peaceful, quiet area that brings on an immediate sense of calm. The hosts could not be more wonderful--warm, welcoming, always smiling and ready to assist in arranging whatever you may need--a driver, an excursion, a Balinese healer--whatever may interest you. In the morning, they bring tropical fruits and Balinese treats for breakfast and they restock the water every day. The property is immaculately clean--really, really clean--extremely well maintained and the bed linens and towels are changed constantly. The rooms are large and comfortable in every way and all have beautiful views of the green rice fields and lush tropical greenery. I stayed for two weeks in May and I would definitely stay again. I highly recommend this property and its lovely hosts.
