Everything was perfect! We booked a jointed room and it was soooo large with the great rice field view. You can hear frogs and maybe the sounds from crickets. Very peaceful white noise.
What was the most amazing was that everyone in the hotel who helped us was woman. The ones who picked us up from the parking lot, the ones who showed us the room, the ones who provided breakfast service, all women!!! I like that! Girls’ power!
And I really enjoyed the breakfast. I like my delicious noodles. Besides, I really liked the rice fields around the hotel. I saw ducks queuing up to go back home. And the location is nice, just walk you can arrive at the palace. There’s a path the car cannot enter, but the staff will pick you up from the parking lot. Walking is not too far, you can walk and enjoy the view of rice fields. Living in a city, I don’t always get the chance to see rice fields. Overall, great!

I really loved my stay! I felt taken care of the entire time and the staff were all so happy and polite and ready to help me. Breakfast every morning was delicious. There is a whatsapp number where you're connected to all the staff and they're very quick to respond and they were great at coordinating things a bit differently on mornings where I had to leave early. The main centre of Ubud is about a 20 minute walk past some rice fields and only accessible via scooter or walking. The staff were so great at picking me up via scooter to bring me to and from downtown - it made it so convenient and I was so grateful. Wifi worked well though I wasn't traveling for work so used it very little.
At night I could see fireflies in the backyard and it was magical. Used the pool and loved it. Rice fields in the area are very nice - great location.

Everything was great- from room, to swimming pool, to location. But the best part was the hosts. 2 ladies were the sweetest and always ready to help.

If you want to be out the rat race this is the place. In the middle of the rice fields. We stayed in the deluxe king suite and it was nice and big with sofa and a kitchenette. Nice and big bathroom with tub and shower.
Breakfast cooked and served in the eating area or your room what ever you prefer. Good selection but no meat options.
Staff absolutely amazing!!! Super friendly and helpful!!
BUT you are in the rice fields so you are 1,3km from the main road with all the shops and restaurants but it is not a problem as the staff will drive you and pick you up on scooters at a certain pickup point which is right on the main road.
At night we would sit on the deck and watch the fireflies.
This is a lovely place! Will be back!
The roosters… and a bit of construction.. not on top of the villas so it wasn’t that bad. And I guess at some point it will be finished. And it wasn’t big construction and not all day.

Beautiful property run by wonderful women. The villa was gorgeous, so spacious, with a great pool and transportation services. Every morning I had the freshest breakfasts, and someone was always available for any questions. It was so nice to be among the rice fields and quieter side of Ubud, but also only a 15 minute walk into the centre.
I would stay again and highly recommend.

Great place located in the rice fields. The staff was super nice. Since the hotel is a bit away from the Ubud center, (which is a plus) and essentially only accessible by walking (10 minutes) or motocycles (2 minutes), they have a service where they can pick you up or bring you by motocycle to the city. This service is simply excellent, very efficicient. The staff is always ready to quickly provide this motocycle service.
They provide also an excellent breakfast.

Fantastic Staff that truly want to make your stay enjoyable. Close enough to the main touristy spots (3-4 minute free scooter ride with staff anytime you need) but far enough away that you get to enjoy the peceful ricefields as well as some local places to eat. 100% will be staying here again, next time we come to Ubud. A decent selection for breakfast and good quality/taste.
We were super happy with everything. If I had to nitpick, it would be nice to have a larger desk to use my laptop but I understand most people aren't going to be working from the room.

A truly beautiful place nestled among rice paddies. Access is by scooter, but that wasn't a problem, as the staff dropped us off and picked us up practically on Ubud's main street. You can also ask them to organize a tour, sightseeing trip, or taxi – they offer better prices than street vendors. We enjoyed the breakfast served in our room. The pool is small, but it was perfect for playing with a child.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They came to pick us up from the Ubud high street at any time - always with a smile . You could get to Ubud art market and water palace in 5 min only because they had a scooter service . Walking wasn’t an option always.
The room with rice field views was very expensive.. The access to the pool was through a unimpressive side alley. Pool is not large. Scooter service after 10pm was only available for one person at a time .

The main drag in Ubud is ridiculously busy and this hotel was like an oasis in the chaos - up a car-free street on the edge of picturesque rice fields.
The staff were absolutely amazing - nothing was too much trouble for them including same day laundry service and running us down to Ubud on their scooters to join tours at crazy times in the morning (for example 3am volcano hike).
We had interconnecting rooms complete with balcony and really enjoyed having our breakfast brought up to us each morning. We found the choice to be good too. The rooms themselves were very comfortable and clean, with good bathrooms. The pool in the grounds was perfect for cooling off after a day of touring.
You are near to plenty of great restaurants including the Sweet Orange Warung. We also got a takeaway delivered very easily one evening.
If we came to Ubud again we would definitely try to stay here.
We loved everything. I guess it would be tricky to get to if you are not particularly mobile.

Friendly staff, always helpful and smiling. Pool was great, clean.
Breakfast delivered to room is nice, food was ok for price you paying.
Beautiful located surrounded by lush green and trail walks..
The room was great, the outlook was a bit bleak… especially comparing to photos on the site.. we didn’t get to sit outside as huge ants were constantly over everything ( table, chairs)
The outer perimeter especially around the Kings room could be better, a lot of weeds, shrubs, couldn’t see rice fields

Loved the location. It was tucked back in the rice fields away from the craziness of Ubud. Rooms were large and so clean! Bed was comfortable. Room came with a safe and a small desk which was nice for my husband who had to work.
Nothing!

My Favorite Place to Stay in Ubud
I’ve stayed at Solo Villas several times now, and it truly feels like my home away from home. Nestled right in the middle of the rice paddies, it’s peaceful, beautiful, and just the perfect escape from the busy town — yet still close enough to walk to all that Ubud has to offer.
The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, and everything is always spotless and thoughtfully maintained. Whether it’s the view, the quiet, the comfort of the villas, or the friendly atmosphere, everything here just feels right.
I’ll keep coming back whenever I can. Solo Villas is a real gem, and I’m so grateful to have found it.

The place is perfect for all those people that want to get the best of Ubud without the crowd and traffic. The place is reachable by motorbike only (free rides by the owners). The breakfast is really enjoyable and they are not strict when it comes to time. I definitely recommend it.
The same thing that represents a nice thing (far from the houses and close to nature) could be a cons if you consider the time needed to reach it by walk. But as I said the owners are more than happy to drive you by motorbike anytime you need it and ask them for it.

The property is located in a serene and quiet area of Ubud surounded by nature. The people working there are extremelly helpful and they respond very quickly to your every need. Even though the property can be reached only by scooter from Kejang street the villa provide free scuter service whenever needed. The rooms are big and clean and decorated with care so that it really gives a homey feeling. I cannot wait to return.

The villa is spacious, surprisingly spacious considering the location is quite central. A few minutes you are in Ubud Palace. The staff were kind and responsive. We look forward to the breakfast every morning. Would come back!
The place is in a rice field, up on a small road, normal taxi cars can’t reach there. You will have to call the staff to pick you up. Or just get a bike grab.

Spacious accomodation, big bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Kitchenette and unlimited drinking water. Very helpful staff and good breakfast. Location close in a walking distance to Ubud, but away from main streets in the middle of rice fields. Staff could give a lift on a scooter.
The bed was comfortable but pillows not so. Place is in the country side so roosters crowing might wake you up early morning.

Th property is in the middle of rice fields and a quite area just about 10 minutes walk from Ubud. The facilities were amazing and staff are super friendly to help you with any travel advice. They offer a 24 hour pick up service from a bike from town which I definitely used when it was raining. Also, they offered floating breakfast which I loved
Everything was great.

I recently stayed at Solo Villas in Ubud, and it was a wonderful experience! Nestled in the rice fields, the location offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The service was exceptional; the staff was very attentive and went out of their way to ensure comfort. The breakfast was delicious.
Since the hotel is accessible only via a small path, they offer a convenient motorbike service to take you to a nearby meeting point in the city. Once you're done with your activities, just send them a message, and they’ll pick you up and bring you back to the hotel.
Our room had a stunning view of the rice fields, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The room was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ubud and needing a unique and quiet place to stay.

Beautiful location, air conditioning was more than sufficient, bathroom was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful
I didn’t realise that the property is only accessible on foot or via scooter, but it’s located right in the middle of the stunning rice fields so I should have anticipated that there is no car access. Staff offer transport to and from the villa by scooter so this really wasn’t a big issue

It was beautiful set in fields, with fireflies dancing very night. Breakfast was delicious
It did not look out onto rice fields, it was a grassy field. Allegedly the bike service into Ubud is 24 hours, but when I needed to go at 6am no one answered which meant I had to walk 15 minutes the pouring rain and almost missed my pickup for the days tour. Initially they apologised via WhatsApp but the comment was then deleted which is just weird. The villa leaked water when it rained, large gap under the sliding patio door meant insects came in and there was no door on the icebox which meant water leaked most days. No hot water during my stay. Was unable to pay be final bill by card (even though I had been reassured this was possible) which meant I was very short on cash for the remainder of the day as I wasn’t close to an ATM

I liked that the property is in the middle of rice field, Kajeng Ricefield which is supposed to be an attraction. Within walking distance, there is an eatery called sweet orange. The last 500m road leading to the property is only accessible by foot or motorbike but the staff is ever ready to pick and drop you off via their motorbike. It’s a free transfer. On the day of check in, they will communicate where to wait and will arrange to pick u and luggage up. The stay was definitely value for money! The villa will place a 21 litre water tong in your room, no need to worry about drinking water supply! I would recommend anyone to stay here next time!!!
I loved everything about it. The staffs are very friendly and ever ready to help you with anything. 100% recommended!!

Location for hikers and walkers.
Not accessible by cars only by scooters.
The fast response of the staff taking us to nearby pick up and drop off points
We booked the 2nd floor room with the rice field view for 3 nights. Unfortunately, you couldn't be comfortable and enjoy the view by opening the windows neither set outside at the terrace due to the many lizards roaming around! The windows has no net to prevent mosquitoes and lizards entering the room.
We found one lizard inside the room right above the bed and asked the staff thru sending its picture via WhatsApp to remove it they said ok then when we followed up they said not today we will do it tomorrow!
Regarding food hygiene, I guess it is a cultural thing or a habit that only the look of the food and amenities is clean but if you really wanna know what you are eating, just go inside the kitchen and check how the food is being prepared.
