Very satisfied couple

The 'Gary McMahon weekend' was brilliant, The Park Lodge was only a very short drive out of town and in a nice quiet location, our room was excellent, clinically clean, beautiful decor, very comfortable bed, and we will certainly be back there again, we highly recommend The Park Lodge, 100%

The location was perfect, the room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and staff was nice.

We couldn’t get in one evening because someone, maybe another guest, had put the deadlock on. Lucky someone was there to open the door for us. It was a small issue and it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

Our bed room is big and wit comfortable sofa. The bathroom is also good. The breakfast is very good.

We ad some difficulty to locate the hotel. It was told tat you have to use the hotel name exactly to find the place.

Perfect stop off point on our journey. Good breakfast, comfy bed, very good shower, plenty of parking and reasonably priced. Extra toiletries in the bedroom

No major issues however there was no bin in the room and a more modern hairdryer with more functions would be good

The hostess, Grace, is so personable and friendly. The property is beautiful and peaceful and breakfast was wonderful. We have stayed twice now and would definitely come back again.

The staff was lovely (dog included), and gave us advice. Breakfast (not included in the room rate) is very generous. Clean an calm.

The corridors and room have a thick carpet, but it wasn't enough to protect us from the noise of our upstairs neighbour's urinating and showering. Insonorisation could be improved.

Nice for a short stay

The room was nice, facing the garden. The staff was friendly and did their best. Loved the festival in town.

The fancy countryside pictures create certain expectations of peace and quiet, but in reality there is a noisy road in front of the place. Didn't like the mattress, you feel the springs. I also don't like to set a time for breakfast when being on vacation. Breakfast was plain classic Irish/British breakfast so we decided to eat elsewhere instead.

Our stay was comfortable overall!

Grace was phenomenal and was very attentive to any needs that my family had. She treats you as if she’s known you her whole life. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone. We will be staying here again in the future because of Grace and her staff! Thank you!

Friendly owners, clean and nice rooms, good bed - easy to find, just by the highway.

It is very easy to find as it is located along the highway. Staff was very very nice and friendly. Our room was tip top - nice and clean and good beds.

Looking at the picture we expected to be staying somewhere in the countryside - not just besides a highway. The picture is accurate but does not show how near the road is. Luckily we had a room facing the garden, so we could sleep, but in the bathroom the window could not close completely, so it was very cold and the noise came in. With the door closed you did not hear the noise in the room. Breakfast was okay - simple but okay. We would have loved some more variation to put on the toast and also wheat toast not only white toast. We could ask for more toast and coffee so we did get enough to eat.

I would not recommend due to payment issues noted above

Easy to find, good breakfast, parking easy.

When we arrived, owner informed us her credit card machine was broken and repairman did not come to fix it that day, so she asked for payment in cash. Luckily we had enough Euros with us to pay our bill but it made me wonder what would have happened if we did not have it with us. The owner told us we would have to go to a cash machine in the very small town of Abbeyfeale. I only will use bank ATM’s while traveling internationally, as they offer best exchange rates, so if one wasn’t available in that small town this could have been a major issue for us. Since we made the booking on Booking.com and secured it with a credit card, why couldn’t owner have used this platform to secure payment? This happened within 5-10 minutes of our arrival after a day of sightseeing in West Ireland. It left a “bad taste” in my mouth.

Tom and Noreen were very accommodating and helpful with our many questions about the local area during our stay. They have a beautiful home conveniently located with easy access to several nearby restaurants. Our room was super clean and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was served. We highly recommend that you consider staying at the Park Lodge.

Beautiful guesthouse

Beautiful guest house. It was spotless, very comfortable beds, the breakfast was delicious and the owners couldn't do enough to make sure we were full during breakfast. The hosts were so friendly and I would highly reccomend this guest house. We will definitely be returning.
