The B&B is run by a lovely friendly family. The room and facilities, located across the road the bar were good. Breakfast was a quite nice full Irish and was served in the bar
I'd cover over the glazed partition above the door to the bedroom. Real coffee, even just a filter jug, would be nice with breakfast.

Wonderful stay in an comfortable en-suite room (bedroom and private bath) in the family home across the street from the pub. The 5th generation family owners were welcoming and friendly. Had a great conversation with their son Aaron in the pub and the next day with other members of the family during the continental breakfast at the back of the pub.

The museum they recommended was great. I highly recommend it.
The town really didn’t have much compared to other towns.

Used as an overnight stop between Dingle and Dublin. Room was very clean and nice. Family were lovely.
The town is very limited for food options especially late at night. No tea making facilities.

Very welcoming staff, lovely welcoming owner, couldn't wish for more from a small local Irish bar/hotel.
Nothing.

Shower was nice and big. Drinking water provided in the room. Staff had initiative and were helpful offering an available taxi service.
Very intimate setting with house dwellers. Assumed hot breakfast available but very basic, cold breakfast provided which was disappointing.

Owner was friendly. Parking was good.
Rooms were not actually in the pub, but were upstairs in a house opposite the pub.
There was no hot breakfast. Guests were able to make tea/coffee and toast in a room at the back of the pub. Other cold food items were available.
There are no Glin restaurants open in the evening, so guests have to rely on a takeaway.

Family run, thoughtful breakfast spread, friendly and attentive.

Breakfast was minimal and poor.
Bedroom very sparsely furnished. Curtains would have been an improvement.

The room was comfortable, clean and good shower.
Owners very pleasant and friendly.
My room was off to the side of a busy family kitchen/living room which i felt was very awkward and at times noisy.
Iisting said “breakfast included” but it did not say continental breakfast. I would not have booked this room at this price if i knew it was continental breakfast.
No restaurants within walking distance only a takeaway.

Our host was very friendly, spent time talking with us and sharing thoughts on places to see at our next destination. A lovely man whose company my son and I greatly enjoyed. We didn’t have time to stay for breakfast as we were heading out extra early but he was kind enough to make sure we had coffee available and waiting for us before we departed. The accommodations were comfortable and just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay at Geoghegans Magpie Bar and B&B and hope to return one day.

The Property was above our expectations, rooms where large and clean (Photos don't do them justice)
Gerald welcomed us and also gave us a tour of his old family home above the bar that he grew up in which is now converted to old fashioned rooms.
Our 4 rooms were located across the road in the new family home.

Only stayed 5 minutes and left booked into nee accommodation . Only got 1 nights refund . Completely overpriced

Our stay was very enjoyable. The 5th generation family owners made us very welcome as did the locals. Lovely town, great pub and Bnb, the people are fantastic in this pretty little town! Best fish and chips in Ireland at the local chippy.

From the outside the Magpie Bar has an attractive traditional appearance which is carried through into the main bar which is quirky and interesting. The rooms that we were allocated were actually in another building but were a good size, warm and reasonably comfortable.
On arrival, the owner professed to be confused as to what rooms we had booked and it was unclear whether he had available the two double rooms with private bathrooms which we had paid for, given he had other guests who had also booked similar accommodation.
In such circumstances my son and I agreed to take two double rooms with a shared bathroom however as we had each paid a premium for rooms with private bathrooms we expected to receive some compensation for doing so. On check out I did eventually receive some money back but only after having to raise the matter and argue my case against some opposition.
The continental only breakfast provided in the standing bar area of the pub is pretty basic with cereal yogurt and bread for toasting being supplemented with economy packets of ham and cheese. The only coffee on offer was instant. Given the prices charged I would have expected better.

It was a traditional property, a home where generations of the family had lived. It had a link with Irelands War of Independence.
It was not luxurious, but it was clean and had all that I needed.
Karl & his parents were very friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast was very good and home style.
I can’t afford luxurious & I prefer plain.
There aren’t enough properties like this imo.

There was a weather emergency that cut all electricity in town, so our stay was not what it would have been

it's a family run pub with accomodation above and the owners of the company are so charming and welcoming. As a solo traveller I felt very welcomed and comfortable - the bar downstairs has a great vibe. Authentic Irish experience

Cosy room upstairs a pub. Clean spaces and comfy bed. Absolutely nice and friendly owners, and very very good vibes at the pub.

Good clean room opposite the bar. Room was spacious and Glin itself was very nice. Not sure if it is where you would take a romantic break but I would stop there again. Breakfast was continental style which after all the full Irish breakfasts I have eaten was a nice change. Staff were all very helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. The host was kind and we had great time. They give us private bathroom and we really appreciated it. The continental breakfast was ok.
The place had no restaurants to have dinner but it was very small so, we understood it.

Such friendly, accommodating staff. They couldn't have done more for me. If you want to experience true Irish hospitality in an authentic setting, this is the place!

Everything was perfect right from the start - bathrobes in the rooms, which I would have never expected. Thank you, thank you thank you !!! Obviously the owner cares about the comfort of his guests.
A lovely morning chat with the owner and the staff.
It's a place where you can learn a bit about Irish history, the owner being very proud of his ancestors and heritage.
Dear all at Geogheans Magpie Bar and B&B

The owners were so friendly and over-the-top helpful in helping us have a good experience not just at their B & B but also in their country overall. They were so kind and it was so fun to talk to them.
No complaints! I did need a hair dryer and they might have had one if I had asked. I just didn’t think of it until too late at night.
