a lovely little gem

lovely little place, the hosts are such lovely, helpful people. breakfast was great with lots of choice, nice free coffee and water at all times. super clean & tidy place! not fancy but a really good decent place to stay. everything worked, cute and cosy.

I think the walls must be thin as one of the nights I could hear someone snoring all night, which was unfortunate. they do get up early to make breakfast so could wake people up, but nothing a few ear buds wouldn’t sort out!

The town of Lumen is very quite, with a few restaurants that only open on certain days. I would recommend going towards the industrial zone 1.8km away for a fairly close option, and trying the truck stop restaurant. It’s not as the name would suggest. The food is fantastic and it opens every day!

I had a confirmation, then I was told due to internet problems I was double booked and had no room. To be fair Kris at the hotel booked me into another hotel but this was a very stressful experience.

A warm welcome by the owner, and the hotel has a fantastic calming vibe, we felt immediately relaxed. Our rooms were immaculate, quiet, and all you could need was provided, including tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is continental and plentiful, with a sizeable range of fruits, breads, cereals, meats, cheeses, juice, coffee and tea. A great hotel, very well priced and in a lovely quiet, convenient location. * Be sure to ask about the bee’s and try the various honey that they produce and sell in the hotel. (it’s delicious)! * And be sure to also ask and view the vast range of natural green, black and flavoured tea’s on sale.

A lovely stay..

I booked this the night before after searching for a half way point on my journey. The reviews were good, the price good so I booked. It is a very quaint lodging facility. The place was immaculate. The bed was so comfy and I stayed in it after the alarm went off. The host was very attentive and accommodated my late arrival. WiFi was easy to access. There is a pizza restaurant (Dinos) near and on the way to the City Centre. The food was good and the atmosphere friendly. I also liked the host allowed me to store my cold items in their reception refrigerator, which was stocked with beer and wine. That was a pleasant surprise to have a glass of wine as I unwound from the day.

My room looked out over a quiet parking lot, but the breeze coming through the window was delightful. So..really this is not a negative.

Personal muy amable y desayuno muy bueno

Amabilidad del personal. Solucionaron la falta de seriedad de Booking. Seleccionamos hoteles con ascensor para subir a pisos superiores y no sirvió de nada. O había ascensor en el hotel e íbamos con una silla de rueda. El personal nos ayudó amablemente en todo para salvar los obstáculos.

Heel fijn hotel en lekker uitgebreid ontbijt

Proper hotel, propere kamer en badkamer, er is parking (ik was met de auto), gemakkelijk bereikbaar, vriendelijk personeel, heel lekker ontbijt en lekkere thee.

Inrichting kamer: de kleerkast pakte veel plaats in en maakte de doorgang naar het bed heel klein. Kamer OK voor 1 persoon. Voor 2 zou het klein zijn. Matras was precies met vering. Dat vind ik persoonlijk minder fijn.

Perfektes Hotel für einen Zwischenstopp

Kleines, ruhiges Hotel in sehr ruhiger Lage. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und nett. Ein perfektes Hotel auf der Durchreise für den Zwischenstopp oder für ein Wochende. Neben dem Hotel befindet sich ein grosser öffentlicher Parkplatz und das Stadtzentrum mit Restaurants und Bars ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt.
